Well he wasnt very popular for the rest of the night i can tell you that!!! Everyone was getting into the zeppelin. And no-one wants to listen to snow patrol when 1. theyre at a fricken party and 2. they've had to listen to them for the past 6 months on the radio everyday! EDIT* Oh and BTW des. I opened that myspace link you had to double dragon, listen to the start of the songs and i actually was really liking the guitar work.....but i just cannot stand listening to someone screaming their tits off the whole song. but yeah kudos for the rest of the band. it'd sound heaps better if the guy actually SANG the lyrics, then they would be true musicians. *puts flame suit on :D*

I was at a party the other night...and it just so happened that my car ended up being the source for music...and one guy had the nerve to STOP the cd which was playing, which was a mix of led zeppelin, van halen etc. and he ACTUALLY put in snow patrol. i just couldnt believe it!

Heres a bit of an update.....i've got all the wheels on for a start haha. - Ive painted the dash black, looks heaps better - Removed side strips and gave it a cut and polish to even it all up - Got me a k&N panel filter.....best mod yet, I defnitely felt and increase in power...and thats on crappy freedom fuels fuel. - Put in a shifter bearing kit, replaces the old rubber bushes in the linkages for nice skateboard bearings - And yeah other stuff like stereo etc. Heres some pics of how she is now Looks heaps better without sidestrips...theres a few marks, mostly where the previous owner had obviously touched up the paint and theres a ridge in the paintwork where the top of the strip was.

whoah this is an old thread, back in the days of my red ae82. But it still applies coz the one on the white one has split straight up the middle and pretty much just crumbled in my hand. Ruts- if you do find a way to make a mold...you will be rich haha. there are so many wreckers ive been to that have said that they have heaps of people coming in looking for these. so if you made some, I'm sure thered be a fair fewthat would buy them.

Hey guys. Finally got the mags on, and I'm stoked, it looks so much better. and the tyres have about 100x more grip too :y: Once again ruts....thanks for getting me this beast, i still can't believe i got it for $500. from recent inspection it seems it has near new: - starter motor - drivers side driveshaft - passenger side cv joint So thats tops. And all i've had to do is replace a wheel bearing that was stuffed after about 1500 k's. I've still got the oil i first put in when i got the car, and after approx. 3000 kms it hasnt changed colour at all. i'm still absolutely STOKED at how well this thing drives. :P :) :D This rim wouldnt fit because the mechanic who put the exhaust in didnt align the control arms properly. Last one. :y: :y: :y:

huh? purple camaro, as in r/c car? coz I'm sure as hell i didnt see a purple camaro, coz trust me, i WOULDVE been there pretty quick! And as for the petrol r/c cars, i couldnt agree with you more! but 1. parts are cheap 2. 2L of fuel lasts ages and 3. I just LOVE how quick the little buggers are haha! I admit i used to think electric r/c cars were poo, but then again i never really had a good one, like one that the batteries last longer than 5 minutes in. And after seing those little beasts at autosalon, my opinion on them has changed alot. with that cooling down part...do u mean you have to let them idle to cool down?

I have taken a few photos with my phone as well but theyre pretty much exactly the same ones haha. besides the meteor - that is POO! Some others i got was of that prado next to the truck (had to show my parents, they have one haha), one of that aqua starlet (mrpsi) across from the sprinter, a couple of a very nice rx7, and one of the front end of the hummer. Anyone see that 700+ kW supra on the dyno...was freakin awesome!!! Also, I'm looking into buying one of those rc cars, but i think i'm gunna get a petrol one and rally it around the backyard instead, that way the fun can't run out...coz as long as you have fuel you don't have to wait a lifetime for the battery/s to charge

Hey guys, the rolla's registered now and running pretty good. Really need to get make me a short shifter and get some bearings for the linkages, but otherwise i love driving it, its alot more responsive than the red one was. Anyways heres some shots of how she's looking now.

Well i'm not going to do too much to it, but in the near future i'll chuck on an oil catch can and replace the shifter linkage bushings with bearings....and i'm going to put 'roil' through everything! good stuff, anyone else heard of it.

Hey guys..cleaned her up a fair bit since i bought it The engine bay: The exhaust about to be put on: The interior has been cleaned up HEAPS! but i don't have pics sorry, theres this one tho: The car is going in on monday to fit that exhaust (tiny bit of welding involved, i don't have one), and to replace one of the cv boots, then roadworthy. Then its rego, can't wait, i just have to bog a little bit of rust before i take it in. :D

yeap, they will be done soon enough, only thing i'm worried about is that they'll come out TOO white, the spoiler did! but i'm going to leave it anyways, still gotta wash the car, then i'll see how it looks

i picked up the rear hatch from the wreckers, had some problems with the locking mechanisms, so i chucked some spacers in there, and also the bottom left corner was all twisted and wouldnt close so i gave it a few love taps with a rubber mallet, now it looks like vomit. this pic is before i bashed it out. engine bay i also need to repaint the cam covers some time soon

Just took some photos today of how it looks now. i went and got the original paint colour made up at a paint store, and repsrayed the bonnet as it has only been primed for the past 6 weeks, before that it was black with spray cans, and before that it was the original rusted out bonnet pinned bonnet. so heres some new pics.
