  1. Going a little off topic but in that case you should also check out some of the 3M brand double-sided tape. Its used in the construction industry for bonding outside panels to skyscrapers etc
  2. It depends on what Sikaflex (as in Sick-a-Flex) is used cause there's more then one type eg - 255 is for gluing down the windscreens Jason what your dad most likely would be using is 252 its a panel glue more or less and 551,552 and 554 are spray on protective coatings (551 is like a sound deadener from memory)
  3. Try Uvex safety glasses its what we deal with at work in supplying the businesses around town etc. Yeah have been thinking of transitions, one of the guys at work has them. But the idea of the mirror tint :y:
  4. Yeah can get them ones, but i'd sooner the wrap-around mirror tint style
  5. Sods, i'd love to be able to wear a pair of sunnies. But oh noooo i've got to wear damn glasses. That what grinds my gears on bright sunny days
  6. Top right hand corner is the search button
  7. interesting, my 4k's a double row. But than again my '55 is a bit of an odd ball it would seam
  8. Building services is the usually on the thirteenth floor And no no its the 13th floor that gets changed to, say, 12a.
  9. Its a "traditional superstition" i suppose you could say. The 13th floor is either omitted, re-numbered as 12a, 12b or even 12m or just straight out M (which is the 13th number of the alphabet). Or its there but can only be accessed by a service elevator etc (conspiracy theories anyone....) Anyone remember "Max Headroom" ? I do just, he was on the 13th floor... You'll find that most times its also that the block was split (or sub-divided) - 11 for the original plot and 11a for the new plot.
  10. :jamie: Sounds like a few people are having that trouble of the net dropping out. I've had it a couple of times. The last one today the only way to get the net back was to restart the computer
  11. Yep only in america
  12. I don't get it ? The only thing that i can really see as being chopped is the bonnet. And that doesn't necessarily mean its got an intercooler
  13. Friends, what else are they for Use you Abuse you Stab you in the back Great way of wasting time/money Almost like family but you can upgrade or downgrade if you find another Monday/Friday model
  14. Me not see anything but i'm guessing the toyota has a nissan motor in it??
  15. hehe, solvered  Corolla_Gurl you could always come here and share the fun of having nothing to do Would have been having some fun doing something but the friend that was suppose to be here for new years decided that spending it with a bunch of druggo's is more important then spending it with so-called close friends.
  16. $27.50 for the full day. Picked it up 9 in the morning and didn't have to return it till 9 the next day Got some nice long bolts from a nut and bolt place today - $17.50 for 4 Was thinking of cutting the tabs off, but too much hassle in the long run i think
  17. Bah, i just don't get it at times. Searched high and low I knew i had the stuff But could i find them Oh no i couldn't Nowhere to be seen So it was back off to Bunnings again i toddled And did they have the stuff i needed NO Not even the bloody double ended ring spanner that i snapped And cause i have to take the engine crane back today the motor is now sitting on a wheel dolly (go-jack type thing) of the damn garage waiting oh so kindly for me to find some long bolts so that i can get it mounted on to the engine stand PHUCK Oh yeah and just when i thought the auto had no more oil to bleed out It bleed a bit more
  18. I'd go for an engine conversion as well, maybe EFI (Electronic Food Intake) for a little better economy and perhaps tighter emissions control or something for the screaming and pooping :) Congrats to you and your other half
  19. Just have to get a dog now :)
  20. Finely got around to pulling the motor out of the '55 today and now some of the garage is stained from auto fluid Old cut grass makes for ok kitty litter to soak up the spillage.... Just have to move the car back over the area before the girlfriend sees it :) and if she does see it i'll blame the dog
  21. I thought ebay wasn't allowed to do that anymore :lmao: Sick of ebay anyway, but oztion.com.au just doesn't have the range of stuff at the moment so kinda stuck with them
  22. Yeah knew that one. Just make them powered :) Who the hell in their right mind would go and do that :wtf: Crap, hey. Didn't know that Might have to re-think doing it to mine
  23. Guard mounted mirrors - i don't mind them, think their pretty cool. Been thinking of getting a set of bike mirrors for my '55 and mounting them on the guards. Think their a lot safer to use as well - don't have to move the head as much, can see a wider picture (depending on the size of the mirror) and the blind spots are smaller (or less chance of blind spots)
  24.   :wtf: good stuff :lmao:  If you haven't figured i'm bored. 7shades - Silicon Chip mag once had an article on making a wind turbine. Oh hang on you was bored...
  25. Most likely to do with the kingpin angle Yes, may as well put it that way Whiteline Auto has a nice write up in their Tech Talk section http://www.whiteline.com.au/faqsusp01.htm
