  1. And then there's also the ones that have been hotted up to make the fishing easier so to say..... Like a riced up lancer coupe that use to race around toowoomba here looking for races etc
  2. My bad. I meant the mounting point where the gearbox mounts fit up to on the chassis. It'd have to be moved back a couple of inches. There's some info on it on the forum somewhere, have a search, something along the lines of "KE55 auto conversion" I'm pretty sure a mate of mine was thinking of doing it to his serria. He found on the Outer-limits forum. But anyway i like the way the transfer case is connected to the g'box. Really opens up the range of gearboxes
  3. Rockhead ?? :eatlead:
  4. If he hasn't been givin the chop and nick he might just be wanting a lady-of-the-night :eatlead:
  5. I'd go the trimatic. Easy enough to modify to handle more power, easy enough to convert to manual shift, good range of after-market products for it. You'll have to re-do the gearbox to fit the auto. it sits further back and i believe the output splines on the auto are different to the manual. Bit of a shame your running in the stock class otherwise you could also hook up a second serria hi-low box for an extra, extra low gear.
  6. If thats the case then at least 90% of the toowoomba public would be in trouble then
  7. In a way its an interesting topic cause when i first joined up years ago the forum name that i put down "Rob" wasn't the one that i wanted so i re-did the whole join-up thing again and used "towe001". I forgot about the first one i did up till i jumped on my new computer logged in the wrong username and wam-oh.... Thanks for deleting/removing him (rob)
  8. If i remember correctly one of the two plants in Japan. Did have a paper with the codes of the factories where the cars are made.
  9. Yes that car does have an aura or a charm or something on it
  10. Gearbox ? Going from a column shift to a floor shift.
  11. Could always convert it to a ute......?
  12. One set that i had to go through late at night was very much like that, so it got to the point of have a good look around and go. Use to love driving my dads old cab-over truck for things like that. Take it easy on the brakes and watch the scared drivers looks as you pull up the barest of inches from their bumber
  13. Holly phuck me I'd be more inclined to go with Philbey on that for the same reasons plus the height. The tray on a ute is normally lower but either way it is it's going to be costly. There's no construction work going on around near your place is there ?
  14. You my sir are jolly well good at what you do AAA+++ :) Edit - but anywhat something i found on another forum was a "fabrication/engineering" section that was devoted to, well, making stuff etc http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fa...ation-f163.html could be of interest.
  15. Adventure Expo at Toowoomba showgrounds today got to this position he locked the rear wheels. So that he could climb this Edit - who said that front wheel drive was useless or rubbish
  16. You should come down to noosa and check out some of the million dollar houses. Nothing but an eye sore so some of them.
  17. If its the same one used in the hilux, all you'll have to do is pop in to a local 4x4 shop and you'll have a massive range of gear ratio, locker, lsd options available.
  18. Beanie ?!? I like the sound of that :bash:
  19. Wait till you see a Husky smile Picking my son up from daycare makes my day. Same with when i come home from work and he runs to the door to give me a BIG i missed you daddy hug Makes coming home from a good job even better.
  20. Ho hum, like i feel for the parents but.......... It just gets a bit much Edit - I think the new falcon ute is going up for the Darwin awards. If the drivers think the ute is too good to want to get out of, here's hoping that'll be the last of 'em...
  21. Looks similar to one that gets around Nambour
  22. http://www.fordmods.com/ If you have any other wonderments about the chariot. There's some fairly interesting stuff on the forum
  23. Ford backwards is - D - driver R - returns O - on F - foot But anywhat i'd change the filter just to be on the safe side of things. Have a look at the filter in the tank as well.
  24. Brings back memories :S Top stuff ;) That your girl made it. :D
