  1. Nice one...... Two wooden chocks with a length of rope between them so that i can pull them out when the chariot is ready to fly as if that'd happen any time soon
  2. At least with the motor being a 2t you wouldn't have to worry about a cat But i wouldn't be ditching the resonator, use a hotdog style of resonator and it'll all depend on what type of muffler and tip you use.
  3. I still remember the day it was opened and the public was allowed to walk over the bridge..... that was fun And a couple of days later some one walked up half way couldn't be bothered trekking back down so they took the express route
  4. I've heard the same thing about the 4age's. So i made up catch can not long after i had the motor rebuilt and at least every 3-4 months drained about half a cup from the catch can. If you do decide to rebuild the thing - do the keyway as well (new key, new crank bolt etc etc) cause it can tend to be a problem spot from time to time, as i found out and was later told it can be a weak spot. But meh i'm over the whole 4age thing. The dizzy can be a real bitch to fit back in and get timed properly if you've pulled it out. In and out, in and out, bit like sex really, in and out, can even try it from different positions, in and out Loved the car (ae82 seca twincam), loved the sound (even got good comments from the v8 boys), hated the motor but....
  5. Yep landed on the second trip there but not the first.... Oh yeah and while on the subject of tripping through space the scraping of "Project Orion" :poke:
  6. Nar its just been a loooong day. The brain is dead but the body is jumping off the walls still..... Some might say have a coffee I say, no, i swim in it.....
  7. But wouldn't the piston get pushed the direction the conrod is angled to in its upwards stroke ? And what about "piston slap", where the piston more or less rocks in the cylinder ? The whole idea of the piston just going up and down just doesn't work in the real world cause of the angles the conrod achieves in pushing the piston up and then when the piston comes back down acting on the crank to turn it around. The piston gets pushed and pulled to the sides in its movement.. Personally, i like the whole idea that Spittao is getting at The only mod needed after this is of filling in the intake ports and moving them more upwards so that they open up into the side of the rocker cover. Takes out the dog-leg at the intake valves that way. And if David Vizard could do it to his 105E Anglia and get some serious horsepower from that i reckon it'd be interesting on a K motor Edit (again) - I like the simplicity of the K motor and if i ever go back to a twin cam EFI it'd be a swift G13B
  8. Going a little off topic, no ?
  9. Yeah, thats something GSL Rallysport is no longer in the commercial traders thread :D http://www.gslrallysport.com
  10. Ditto Like it, except for the same things. Tried posting a two thumbs up reply to a thread that Teddy made a few nights back (........) and started wondering why i couldn't do it. The lock symbol is a little hard to make out. Maybe just use a red x or something ?
  11. From memory, no, its classed as one unit
  12. Its either a Sydney or a Melbourne company that builds it. Remember reading about it few weeks back in a road transport magazine at work. Had been wondering how it worked and all.
  13. And their a crap load easier to work
  14. KE55 Pro - I'm getting back to my grassroots (started out driving a ke30) - I love the shape (but not as much as the ke25) - The motor is piss load easier to work on then, say, the 4age (i really really hate the dissy. I really do) Cons - Its still not on the road - Never being able ( :hmm: allowed) to have the money to spend on it - Doing pointless things on it to try and give me the feeling that its getting closer to being on the road (eg power windows and central locking) - Its an auto But i sure wouldn't mind having an AE82 again. Either the seca or maybe sedan, don't really go for the hatchback much (i need boot space). So that i can throw lots and lots of money at it for something a little left field
  15. Didn't puzzleman put one in ? Or did he miss the dead line for it ? Good video work, i say.... Oh yeah Renee :hmm:
  16. It was decades ago that i had the thing so i couldn't really you much more about it, expect for the previous owner sat the motor on the the standard ke30 x-member and used ta22 engine mounts. He said something about the gearbox x-member but i don't remember what he said about it, but what i do remember is that he couldn't use the ke30 one so he was using rope to keep the box up (which does go a long way to explaining why he wrote the car off) Have a look at jonny rochester's site But i don't think the tail shaft was shortened..... don't quote me on that Edit - yes, the motor did fit.
  17. An old ke30 wreck (right off) that i had once had a 2t-g in it. Its old owner just used the standard ke30 x-member. The only problem with it was that the motor was sitting over to the right, closer to the master cylinder - problematic for the rear air-cleaner.
  18. I blame it on the girlfriend
  19. As he left his Chucky doll he said to some guy "Love you, catch you later babe." I swear with how he acts he's gay
  20. Its to do with the input shaft on the box. One version has a 19 tooth spline while the other one has a 21 tooth spline and it doesn't matter if its from the '55 or '70
  21. Pretty interesting with the wheel base difference. Might have to try a different position - doggy maybe But then again its always been said that the corolla is a girls car......
  22. ^^ what he said ^^
  23. At the moment this damn thread for not letting me attach a pic of the amount of junk mail we received yesterday. It easily covered the dinner table with more junk to spare....
  24. Just some chocolate we found on the weekend
