  1. Why ?? It'd be nothing more then a down right pig on the road.
  2. All you need is a tarp, some vasoline and a couple of lengths of pipe
  3. If this is the part your talking about, i wouldn't really be getting my hopes up of getting a new separate rubber piece. From what i worked out when two of the windows on my old '82 seca did the same thing its, like a "special" press fit or something that holds the glass in the channel. All i did was just use some silastic to glue the glass back into the channels. Worked a treat Edit - The passenger door side i used a channel from a '55, just had to cut it up a little fit. Never had any other problems after that for the 6-7 more years that i had the car.
  4. Boot polish ??
  5. Just make sure it is a faulty cluster before you buy a "new" one and find out its really a wiring fault or something. cause to me with the fuel gauge still reading full sounds like a wiring fault.
  6. And just think - you wouldn't have to spend a fortune at a paint shop to get the "real flames" effect on the old chariot :hmm:
  7. All in all Ex's are just plain weird. I don't think any strange, weird, wacko, left-field food combo's can beat the strange wacko-ness of an ex. As a side note - I'm a die hard vegan and i love to have meat mixed in with my veg. As long as it doesn't bleed on on my plate and it doesn't go "cheep" i'm all happy and dandy
  8. Mine stayed dead cold
  9. Motor is yes, but the gearbox is a no cause of having to trim up the shifter hole, if the 'box is from the ke70 (as a note the 'box is same as in the ke55 but the shifter is moved back a little) - unless you have the auto version ke55 then you'll have to figure out how to fit the gearbox x-member cause the one for the auto is in a different spot....
  10. The gauges wouldn't work if their not connected. And if they are then it'll mean that their drawing power from somewhere else. The temp sender could be stuffed. With the both of them doing it, it does sound like there's fault at the back of the gauge cluster....
  11. Wheels are cool Kinda makes me think of the time that i wanted a 4wd chev dually running on 44's blown 502 blah blah . I've down graded myself to just wanting a dually now a days
  12. And amen to that brother. About the only good thing going for them is mobile phone service coverage and thats it. Righto i'm off to google on learning to speak Indian for when i have to talk to optus customer service......
  13. nonono, my girlfriend, its giving her ideas :) Going off topic here, but what about nike shoes etc there's not much guilt there.... Now where's my toblerone flavoured coffee
  14. :) 7shades Keep the taste testing up your giving the girlfriend ideas for a PJ party :lolcry:
  15. And ain't that the truth But it does make gravy taste better
  16. I once had the same problem with an ex-girlfriends mother. 2 minute noodles served with a mix of tomato sauce, mayo, a dash of chilli sauce and some herbs. two slabs of buttered bread with peanut butter and honey. A samboys chip sandwich with mayo to hold it together
  17. Been done a few times to the ae82 so i couldn't see being that much harder in the '92. There should be a write of it all on the old toymods forum. I think from memory the corolla driveshafts were modified to fit into the camry/celica joints at the diff. Not a cheap way to make better performance over a 4age. But like anything - throw enough money, a hammer and a gas axe at it and anythings possible.....
  18. Nice :D I've always know with the exhaust exit is that it the exhaust tip must be after the last opening into the cabin, in the case of the early model corolla it'd be the boot as being the last opening into the cabin. Apart from that it's also the drivers attitude to getting pulled over. A mate had a Mk.1 Cortina at one stage, it had a side exit exhaust just under the passenger door and never once got a defect nor a "get that fixed" comment for it....
  19. Yes and no, cause there's no mounts for the x-member to bolt to the body. The mounting locations between the auto version '55 and manual '55 are different unlike the '30.
  20. Could always twin it over the diff. Like twin 1.5in pipes or what ever the correct size would be.
  21. I remember back in year 12 having to do a minimum of 5 hours of homework a night.
  22. The ECU's a Delco. Not to hard to make it programmable.
  23. I've been wondering about the dizzy from the camira. It looks about the same size as the early 3k dizzy (the small version)
