Rather enjoyed toying with one a few weeks back. When i had central locking in my old '82 seca it was all fine for a few good years till it, for some reason or another, the front passenger c/l would pull itself out of alignment or something and when the actuator pulled the lock knob (or what ever its called) down causing the joining rod to act like a spring and push the lock knob back up and in turn unlock the other doors. My fix for it was to open the hole around the lock knob a little, move the actuator a little, re-bend the rod a bit more and disconnect the trigger wires from the actuator. So yeah try with disconnecting a door at a time. Shouldn't have to worry about the back doors, it'd be one of the front doors doing it

No, they would just close their doors to us and we wouldn't get any fuel, except for what we made in the backyard (Bio-diesel). And the government wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Just like at the moment, cause the fuel companies have what we need/depend on and if the fuel companies close their doors to us this country will wind up dieing cause we all depend on fuel in one way or other just to get through each day of the week. I remember dad filling up the old XW falcon at around 20-25cpl

The single cammer doesn't have a loom in the EFI sense, injector wiring etc. So you would have to do something about that - swap it over. (unless someone else says differently). Gearboxes are the same. Use the one that feels nicer though the gears. Or just put up with the roomer liftback. Or you could do a search on the forum cause someone else has a twin carby 4a-g

Nar nar, seca (aka liftback). Saw it again today after we dropped the lancer off for its 15,000km service and its (the '82) got the front end from the GT/FX-16. Damn it looked sexy sounded sexy too

Whats the car ? Apart from that my first guess would be that this 2 go together. Generally the charge wire (the wire that goes to the battery) is larger then the rest of the wires and its normally connected/bolted to the alternator by a ring connector.

The pulleys are different. So is the amp output. Apart from that plugs, etc are the same

Really i can't see there being no thread in the holes cause when you get down and think about it all a twinky is is really a base model '82 shell with a 4age in the engine bay, cs-x interior and an upgraded brake package.

Cause when it was mine i measured the bar after i was told that the whiteline bar was thicker then standard. Second thoughts it could have been 22mm. But i'm not digging up the measurements i wrote down of it.

Have a look under Des's '82 if you get a chance cause i'm pretty sure it's either 18mm or 20mm.

And ain't that the truth with the patrons. The number of times me and the girlfriend have been sitting at maccs, food courts, etc, etc and it doesn't even matter if the bin is sitting almost on their lap, they'll just leave the tray, leave their rubbish and piss off. We always make an effort to clean up after ourselves, push the chairs back in after we've finished and hunt down a bin for the rubbish and a place for the tray.

Nar, only the twinkies had a swaybar at the front. You can get a kit from Whiteline (part number BTF70) or just go shopping at the wreckers for a standard one. The Whiteline one is a 22mm thick bar. The standard one is around 18-20mm.

And ain't the truth. Like don't go using transmission oil as a replacement for motor oil. You'll only get about a kay from the motor. And thats a long story why :thumbsup: :D
