  2. What a load of B.S Just another way for them to get some extra money for the policeman's ball
  3. My tooth Really starting to grind my gears
  4. And to think once upon a time there was a thing called "job security", once you had a job you knew that unless you did something plainly dumb and stupid you had it. Now its the other way around.... unless you do something to upset the dole office you wont be cut..... Anywhat that really sucks Trev, kinda like a kick in the teeth from a size 12 steel-cap boot.
  5. De-stroked 7a :2thumbs:
  6. You bastard :D I already have with the new model crap they bring out except for the older models like the corollas and taliwagons (Every Taliban and his best mate drives them - HiLux)
  7. You grandpa :hmm: Bah, i'm about the same these days, i've got to just about force myself to sit on the speed limit on the highways some days and if i don't i'll sit around the 90 mark and not even realize it And as a side note - the bloody "Foodworks" adds are shutting me to tears "Yes, its feta that really does it" :) :D what the heck is wrong with that woman of his.... the one behind the counter knows he hates the stuff.....
  8. They also have a sticker on the back stating "Give way". But they still have to use the right hand blinker and look before they move off.
  9. If i got re-tested i'd have to brush up on more then just reverse parallel parking but also bad habits I know i'll cop a flaming for it but when my girlfriend went for her car she wanted an auto and i wasn't going to stop her cause she'd have enough on her plate as it is with learning to control the car, keeping her eye's on the road, other traffic and other situations that tend to pop up. And then i'll throw her behind the wheel of a manual. My idea behind her driving an auto is that, when you get down and think about it, the hardest thing of driving a manual is mastering the clutch and then its the gears..... Throw all that in traffic with a panicked, novice learner there won't be a lot of learning happening. Wish there was more like you with that 7shades :D :)
  10. With you on that one, can't stand the wankers either that haven't or show no patience for a learner. My girlfriend's on her L's at the moment. I've been teaching her how to slow the car down by the gears and forcing her way around the traffic (eg taking her time, knowing where she wants to be and taking control of a situation), it's interesting watching the other drivers reactions at times, some are polite while the others are just...... The downside is that she doesn't like to drive all that much anymore, she tells me and others that its to do with the new learner laws (having to write down her times behind the wheel) but i think its also to do with the other road users having a lack of patience to her and the L plates that she has to show.
  11. Went to bed last night and at the start of my dream i was sitting in this theater like room and this sexy female voice came over and said "what would you like to watch tonight ?", "A three-way sapphic, please." And so i spent the whole bloody night in a darkened room watching a blank screen eating phucking pop-corn. Ripped off i tell you Thirsty and hungry to boot
  12. Compression test it
  13. And here i was thinking there already was, just under different names - "vagrancy" and "anti-social groupings" being two of them. But all in all its just another way of forcing us to give up our rights and freedoms.
  14. It can also effect the roll-centre of the car as well. Cause whats being done is changing the angle of the leaves. Yeah true, but only if you go and make the hangers longer. Lifted 4wd's use panhard bars etc to locate the axles but thats from using extended leaf hangers. Traction control bars - adding half a leaf, the good ol' tramp bars, etc By the way - the hanger or shackle link is an important part of the suspension. Ask any competition or serious off-roader thats twisted, bent ,shattered a hanger
  15. The closest i've come to that is dropping an exhaust manifold nut down the extractors on one of my old cars - had to pull 3/4 of the bloody exhaust off just so that i could up end the pipe. If only the exhaust shop did as i asked with using flanges :jamie: would have been less effort 8/
  16. 8/
  17. I think i'd sooner be helping to build staircases then signing paper-work for the government. Being able to watch my son grow and develop is great but having no money to invest into the house etc isn't so great
  18. My god :bash: poor guy :fuzz:
  19. why ? There isn't much side to side movement in cart spring suspension. If your really determined for a panhard bar i wouldn't bother with the watts due to it being complex to setup, heavy and the diff has to be modified. Re-read the book on using longer shackles - it affects more then just the under/oversteer. The old gasser style drag-cars (and some dirt-track cowboys) used it and it wasn't just to fit bigger tires under the rearend. You'll be looking for the words anti-squat and anti-lift.
  20. Filling in paper work for the government on a fortnightly basis Which i'm getting jack of Before that i was working in hospitality as a kitchen bitch
  21. Make it breath Anything that will make it breath better will be a good thing..... plus you'll get the side benefit of a slight jump in boost Put in a boost bleed valve to up the boost. BUT do remember that the turbo was fitted to a internally stock standard 7a-fe, so you wouldn't want to go upping the boost to much. If your prepared for researching you could/maybe/possibly up it more than whats considered "safe" levels
  22. :fuzz: The only hard bit is getting/finding a suitable cam belt Either a Peugeot or Porsche
  23. Factory airbox comes standard with cold air induction. But either way use what you've got - the paint tin idea sounds good, i'd just run the cold air pipe into the guard and no further. The guard and inner guard acts as a coarse filter (bugs, grass, stones, water, etc) plus you'll still be getting the cooler air
  24. You'd want to be careful where the fire extinguisher is. That consol is only screwed down by four screws plus the extinguisher is (by the looks) only a clip in. The last thing you'd want is it turning into a 1.2kg missile... Safer to bolt it to the floor or something and use one of those bracket mounts that have use a "clamp" around the extinguisher and then stick some gaffer tape over the release lever to stop someone from popping the clamp open. Used a pod filter one time in my old twinky and by seat of the pants dnyo testing the airbox felt better in power and reponse (bellmouthed the outlet of the box, removed a section of the intake pipe so that it sucked in air from the tire well and used a K&N filter) Kinda makes me miss my ol' twinky
