Ladies and gentleman, Meet Boris, the newest addition to my fleet, Picked up for his towing abilities and whatnot, and also the his inherent bush bashing fun that awaits once fixed. Mods: Snorkel Steel bullbar, lots of spotties, Factory centre diff lock, ARB front and rear air lockers, BIG 285/75 R16 mud tyres (also acquired a set of 275/70 r16 daily highway terrains) 2inches of suspension lift front and rear, 2 inches of body lift 2.5 inch performance exhaust (sounds very tough) The to do list: -broken front left CV -snapped tail shaft -new transfer case -clean ridiculous amounts of mud from under on and inside the car (DONE!) -Get the car to start and run by removing the immobiliser (DONE) Tidy up wiring, get all the guages etc working again (half done need ash the auto sparkie lol) -service, fluids change -Rego the sucker what do you guys think? :) I loves it haha.

the rest oy my various bits i got, oil pump, timing gears and chain, the main caps etc. and of course I'm stocking up early lol. this cars gonna be a certified tyre destroyer haha.

various bits and pieces from the puzzle that is my bottom end of my motor and other bits there, including that spare trimatic. pistons awaiting new rings, considering new pistons as well, something a little stronger to withstand a little giggle gas (yes i truly am insane mwahahaha) does anybody know how well the stock holden rods hold up to the rigours of nitrous? also my prepped and then soda blasted then wrapped up block, and my pulled apart awaiting re-kit 750 holley.

inlet manifold, 2500rpm stally, and my custom tailshaft. the box ill be using, just a standard V8 version, early commodore trimatic, i have a second one to rebuild and get shift kitted and probably transbraked too :)

ok, so here are the pics you guys have been waiting for, here are my Custom engine plate mounts. will need a clean up and stuff but they do the job :) They are attatched to a KE70 cross member currently, but ill probably just attatch them to the one in the car already. nice section of my floor pan, mostly painted.... took many hours lying on my back scrubbing all the shit off then painting took even longer, they need to invent rattle cans that work lying on your back lol. wheels are currently off the car, getting restoed after christmas :) rollin on silver hiace stockos for now lol.

a section of my newly painted floorpan and wheel well, etc, was just doing the final bit in this shot on this side, hence the big white patch, man my exhaust looks haggard next to the nice floor pan haha. My adjustable rear shocks re-installed. does anyone know if there is a local agent who can rebuild these, or even just test them they feel a little saggy especially after some serious cornering, like after a few hard turns on a mountain run, they are GAB adjustable shocks, not sure what they are actually suited to but have been modded to fit corolla.

Here's a pic of my new rear brake setup as compared to my old one, these are KM36 Hiace drums much larger as you can see, and esentially a bolt in item, makes the handbrake work exteremly well for all you drift nutters out there... and heres my aussie spec borg warner rear end, its the taller ratio version from a late KE70 auto, and very tightly locked on a gas MIG welder at my old work, this diff's been in three of my rollas and copped and absolute hiding, though it was from a low ks granny spec car.

OK! so i guess this thread deserves a revival... This car never actually sold, between me getting stuffed about by buyers, and me just plain wanting to keep it as ive always had a soft spot for it so in the end it stayed in my posession. The poor car having suffered some sort of fail inside the motor has been sitting for quite a while and my friends and i had been joking about putting a V8 in it and entering it in the drags, burnout comps and etc, and my favorite bogan revhead festival, powercruise. Only days after the discussion i iwas browsing Ebay and came across just what i needed, a custom engine plates/mount set, custom gearbox crossmember and custom tailshaft all to suit a holden 308 into a KE70 corolla. i won this auction on ebay for the princely sum of 76 dollars. Since then i have also purchased a 308 pulled down for a rebuild and a trimatic gearbox from a early model commodore, which is the version i needed. All i need to do now to finish the engine off is buy a set of bottom end bearings, new rings and gasket kit and then of course build the bottom end. i think I'm going to pay someone to do the job however as I'm kind of over the jigsaw puzzle after building the heads (relatively simple) earlier this evening. is the tourque from this going to rip my car apart? if so what needs to be braced where and what not. seam welding perhaps? i also plan on a cage as funds permit will this in itself be enough? my other hurdle is the need to setup the rear end of the car, any suggestions here would be good. I was going to get a hilux diff at the right width and get it set up with mounts to suit the corolla, or maybe even get a commodore borg warner shortened to suit. will either of these handle the v8's grunt or not? If I'm going to this trouble i think its going to be worth setting up the rear end to grip in a serious way, whats peoples opinions on what would be the best way to go with this. does the stock ke70 setup lend itself to this sort of thing or should i look at modifying my entire rear end's setup to work better? ive heard of things like 4 links and ladder bar setups Etc but know nothing about drag car setup. Also bearing in mind i'd like to be able to still somewhat be able to drive it a bit other than ten seconds at a time as i want to be able to enter burnout competitions in it. thanks guys, hope yous like what I'm up to with it here. hrmm bit of an update i suppose... the car now has a australian spec borg warner rear end as i happened to have one lying around in my other corolla which is probably going to get a hilux diff (see other rides thread) and the u series and one piece tailshaft was very very close to death :y: Everything underneath the car has copped a good scrub and degrease then a paintjob, you could almost eat off the bottom of it now haha. pics to come soon :y:

sorry guys my internet acess is still pretty fail, not to mention dinner with my uncle last night meant we were two bottles down lol. Bec doesn't like doing long drives in the rolla lol. Next week we will probably be there, ill post on monday if we will for sure :y:

is anyone interested in coming down? Or even just navigating for me for the day lol don't wanna be the only rollaclub chap there... Looks fair likely that i'll have my coilovers in and will definately have my 4 pot brakes on... Should make me at least a little competitive :)

gonna have to buy a tent sometime and head out with you lot, sounds like there were many lolz to be had... and need to sort my radiator out get the DX running nice and cool so i can go on a nice long drive without too many issues...

Ok. For one i didn't abuse anybody. I said "get off the road" and thats all i said, if you heard something different you need to clean your ears out... You were riding at almost walking pace all over the road blocking cars, meanwhile there is a perfectly good easement for you to use. Your going to get yourself killed one day with irresponsible behavior like this... You know how to find me? Is that a threat? Cause it very much sounds like one... And thats against the rules in this forum. If you weren't being stupid on the road i wouldn't have said a word.

ill leave the car not the keys... But it will be unlocked and open, so i'd like it if you guys look after it a bit please... If i'm finished moving house ill be there all day though, who wants to help move house?
