sif. rust in corollas makes baby jesus cry :(

so with much patience i got all the chrome strips off the car :) Also took the dash out too as i have some serious rust under the edge of the windscreen on the drivers side, pics soon

i have both of those bits, toying with wether or not to put them on the dx when i paint it

bout time eh? lol. might try do some more tonight, see how i go. need to grab a few scrap panels from work to use for rust repairs. Does anyone have a super secret for getting them gutter strips off without f@$king them up? i have a good pair of spares but id like to try keep these if i can...

Hi guys my names luke, i have a DX KE70 import, a couple of shells and a 96 jeep cherokee which i spend most weekends of late running stuff over in offroad :D My missus is Bec, she has a lancer for daily duties and a 1969 RT40 corona we are currently trying to get back on the road as it cracked a cylinder head. 60s motors arent exactly easy to get bits for, finally found a engine tho. I guess I'm not a new memer but thought id introduce myself as its been ages since i posted anything and theres lotsa new faces. For those that don't know, these days i earn a crust by working for All crash parts and panels, if you can crash it we can get you the bits to fix it! we have lighting and panels in stock/available to suit many older toyotas too, just cause its old doesnt mean you can't get bits for it! cheers guys, Luke/Kent

Hrmm well yes point taken. Anyways long time no post lifes been hektik for mr ella... Finally started to find a bit of time to clean up the shed a bit to make room for a certain white DX to make itself at home inside... Got her in and this is all the result of about 2 hours work, the hardest bit was the windscreen. My plans so far are to do a full resto on the body and possibly swap in a few mechanical bits too depending on my budget and patience to get it back on the road. Enjoy (or hate on them if thats yeah thing) pics peepls :)

i think this sincle cam CA18et your looking at is in fact a Z18ET or something similar. no such thing as a single cam CA18.

i have a couple of over the diff sections we can chop one up and use if you like?

lol its been ages since i looked in here reed. those wheels are globe bathursts, custom made many moons ago for a race car to suit 4 stud and go over 4 piston brakes. i was going to use them on the DX but i kind of got over them, and i want something that shows off my 4 spots a bit better... (anyone selling some 15 inch ssr SP1s?) As for the muffler i think it might very well be broken due to trying to weld a thin walled muffler with a gasless mig... bring it round sometime after the saturday after next and ill have my gas setup, we can let ethan loose of the furker. damm that kid can weld like crazy. thinking of buying him a TIG so we can get serious (and he can teach me a bit more, my welding is getting better just working on stuff with him!)

hey guys sorry i have been a bit slack lately on here, been busy looking at tech info on 18R-Gs and stuff ;) keen as mustard for this, but I'm pretty certain this is the weekend my mum arrives from darwin so ill be busy with family stuff...

okayyy number one you can't use your cam unless you convert to solid lifters, as a 4k cam is suited to solid lifters, your 5k is a hydraulic lifter motor. i have heard good things about frawley engine reconditioning who are in clontarf, red dwarf from memory said they did a good job on his rally motor... Havent used them myself however.

sorry i havent been in here for a bit. as you all know i was planning on entering. but the bloody easy head gasket job for corona turned out to be a cracked head. the rolla wasnt quite ready and had no time to get it ready. cressy went but just parked out front. sad day :P

umm ok so regoing cressida has pretty much cost me all my funds (forgot how much more a 6 is to rego) so i wont be coming...

i have some sets of choppies too, can have for 20 also lol. seems to be the going rate ;)
