when you do this you may have to get a custom spring wound, as you need to use corolla top hat (corona is differnt to rolla) and bottom spring perch on corona strut is much bigger, or failing that cut the corona spring perch off and swap in the corolla ones (if your super handy with a welder). I'm currently running on corona spring perches and corolla tops dodgy plus but not much i could do once everything was in and i realised what was going on, they sit ok-ish and are captive.. going the custom spring route next week when i can get her booked in. can give you a look under the front end of the DX so you can see what i mean if you like? also ill have my recently machined discs and calipers off soon, they are XT130 sumitomo twin spots. probably be a good upgrade if you want them, I'm going hilux/peugeot gear. they will bolt up to either of the struts your looking at.

they are some sort of kings, think theres a coil missin or two though so I'm not sure, bought them off a member here. probably sell them eventually when i buy some TRDs or something with better rates.

Also my diff is making some seriously terminal noises. :worship: anyone know what i can bolt in, in place of the u series in there now? car has a one piece tailshaft which is different length to regular KE70 stuff. thinking T or S series will work???

ok went and took some pics, havent put my low springs in the front yet cause my globies foul the front guards a little, on my previous keto they didnt, but I'm forgetting the extra track added by the xt130 gear in the front. also picked up a set of LN106 calipers off a mate for ten bucks each haha. just gotta get some peugot discs and I'm set. more pics this arvo when i have time to upload them.

nah ive got a hiace one and a EL falcon one if i want to go serious overkill (going to hold onto that one till i upgeade the eingine haha.) but i just want to keep it all original for now. i know the recon will cost a lot but the fabrication involved in changing my radiator (very different to local KE70 front mounts) will take a lot of my time which i just don't have at the moment. got my front challengers on last night, going to go change rear wheelstuds now and get the back ones on too, then finally lower the front, pics this arvo if i can get my f@$kin camera working.

i also have a 4K-U in my DX, having the same problem, Will colder plugs solve this? i thought maybe it was a timing issue, but it behaves itself driving just nicely, never ever pings, so i dunno :P

hrmm i suppose its time for an update... car now has rego (yay) new excedy clutch and XT130 struts and brakes and LCAs damm she stops good with them two potters ill put new pics up shortly. also got myself new plates on the flamed one courtesy of my girlfriend working at Queensland transport and spotting them in the plates for use pile... 370-LTD (e70 limited) which i think being a Dx it is kind of limited so for fee of 22 bucks to replace plates and 44 to personalise them so i can move them to the DX haha.

lol i didnt believe it much when i first got the car but was checked with several tachos. poor thing was given a lot of hell and it stood up to everything i gave it lol.

can you explain this some more philbey? we used to turn my old 4k (now jacks engine) somewhere in the vicinty of 8-9000RPM on a daily basis yes i know absolutely no mechanical sypathy, but shit man it sounded sweet when we made her sing like that...

hey kent's and beeches, A good friend of mine is coming up for the weekend and is keen to cruise a bit in his rx4, and i haven't really taken my dx for a decent run since i got it regoed... So we have decided to do a spit run on sunday. Southside meet up will be at macca's springwood at 12 i will be going from nudgee shell a little earlier to get there then, if anyone from the northside is keen, let me know and ill set a proper time... We will get to the spit for a late lunch and i shall be bringing a portable stove and cooking lunch up there going to take a few snags and sausages, if anyone who comes want's me to cook for them, feel free to bring your stuff down and ill cook it too :P If no one comes thats cool but it's i good day out...
