  3. "Cheers mate, only thing stopping progress are my apprenticeship wages. Need to buy a belt driven compressor, whole bunch of air tools, guns for spraying, welding gear etc. I barely have enough hand tools to do my job let alone restore a car. " I hear ya mate... Doin the same thing with a KE25.But i plan on winning the lottery soon so it shouldnt be a problem for much longer... :2thumbs: Found a local panelbeater, only a small place that has let me put the car in his workshop and go in and do the work myself with him helping out... Hes not even charging me for storage. Plus you better start saving for those longchamps...

  6. Hi all. This has probably been discussed to death before but i can't find. Restoring a KE25 n am deciding what to do engine wise... I have an AE82 sitting my driveway awaiting some TLC however i have been thinking about ripping the engine out and putting it in the 25.. I have had a read in the faq bit and it seems pretty straightforward as far as converting the engine goes. Just wondering if anyone has done this and weather there are any performance issues when this conversion is done. All info small or detailed would be appreciated. Cheers. Glen

  18. HAIGHIE... The car looks and sounds like its coming along nicely and just as you want it to. I know what your going through with the time commitment issue as I'm doing the same myself with my ke25... Was a bit disapointed to read that your changing your paint scheme. It would have been nice to see something different on a sev as the white on black has been done.. Still a great look don't get me wrong. Anyway mate keep up with the progress. Look foreward to seeing how you go with this one
  19. Hi all. "Sold" my AE82 twin cam to a "mate" who was supposed to pay me off but after having it for four months until it ran out of rego, then conveniently dropping it off at my house while i was at sea and doin a runner... Anyway,, apart from destroying the interior i found he had cut the wire to the alarm and now the thing wont start... I got reds but it wont crank and the hazards and all sorts of shit starts to flash and carry on. I have tried rewiring the alarm but still no good.. Put a new battery in and the same result. Any ideas?? Cheers
