ditch the bonnet haha

car looks good mate, i feel the need to speak haha, i race a vt v6 commodore, i love ke70s and before my vt i raced a 4agze ae71, my vt with a locked diff, stripped out and $300 suspension was 7 seconds a lap faster than y corolla on road tyres and a locked diff, and was lowered, so the vt can't be too bad, and now, my vt has about 280-300hp, pretty easy to get from the v6, semi slicks, the same suspension with camber, full roll cage etc etc, and its now 16 seconds faster than the corolla, a mate has a 4age ke70 with coilovers and roll cage setup pretty well, pretty big and grippy tyres and he can drive good, and its 4 seconds a lap slower than the vt, with about the same $$ spent, the vt also out handles mr2's with semis and mx5's, so they can't be too bad, and thats at winton which is a tight twisty track. but still i love ke70's, and drifting, just don't like people going on about how shit stock commodores are, i do not wear a flat peak hat on a angle and i dislike the commodore drivers with their stupid stickers, i want to hit those people with a stick, thats my 2 cents haha :y:

thanks man,it has the standard pipe with the standard useless muffler at the front, back to just behind the diff with a muffler that works, back it is like 2", gonna make a full exhuast one day but this is good enough for now, not cop bait haha

did a few little bits to the old girl today, i thought id better put a muffler on it, she was a bit loud with a straight through muffler and a hotdog, its pretty quiet now but still has a note to it, i can hear myself think now haha, also i painted my SE badge, looks great i think

ok simon, i got out my block and had a look, i have 2, but i can't open the boot on one car so you have to have the other one, its better anyway,they are the same but different, ok see the bottom one has the badge things stuck on it, i think you can take them off and it will be the same as the other, my corona is the same as the top one, i think the top one would look good painted black with the tops polished alloy and the letters red inside do you still want it if your selling it?

ah sorry mate, has been a hectic week, raced on saturday and have been flat out building shed/house haha, i'll try to remember to look tomorrow

yeah i think mine did it every time i changed my gearbox, as i did it about 3 times and probs hung off it while under the car haha

dunno if it will be the same, but mine decides to leak at the manifold where the exhuast bolts to it, i just give it a nip up and it stops for a while, i think its just coz of the way my exhuast sits though

yeah mark got some, iv'e still gotta get off my arse and get them too

looks good mate, i checked that trim on my spare car and its got a nice dent in it, will look on my other one when i'm out my block and see how it is

great idea mark!! one of my spare cars is an rt81 that looks like an rt80, only difference is the motor, they come out with a 12r instead of 2r, and the first rt81 and rt80 came out with a l43 gearbox i think its called, built in bellhousing peice of poo haha, then the rest have w40,appart from that they are pretty much identical, i dunno why they kept calling the later rt81's that instead of going rt82 or something, i also have a rt81 that has the late bonnet and guards and dash, but it has a different shape grill to marks, and hasn't got high back seats or disc brakes, so i'd say its the next one from the rt80 look alike, and i have to late rt81's with the high back seats, and the nice looking grill, and discs haha EDIT : oh and in NZ they had rt83 coronas, they look like the 2 later rt81 coronas but had 18r engines I'm pretty sure, although it could have been an 8r which looks the same, but they had then put a 18r in its place

haha, i'll have a look at what iv'e got, i'm keeping my dark blue one complete as i wanna do it up one day, don't think the light blue one i have has good ones, and the new ones farked, but i'll check my red one, might have a good one, i don't wanna get rid of all my parts though coz i might need them one day, i think i need a few more haha

haha i'm just buying everyone i see thats cheap, i plan to get everyone in vic haha, then aus, then i'll take over the world with my army of corona's :y:

i couldn't be bothered reading what i wrote above haha, but the grills don't fit, the rad support panel is different, and the rt81 mounts different near the guards, and they are different shape around the guards, and the bonnet trim is different

i already have one on my blue one, so gonna put it on my red one, i actually like the rt80 grill more, looks kinda looks like a plymouth front or something, i just think its kool, i also like the rt81 grill but no more than i like my grill haha, each to their own haha
