had a good score today, a few days ago i was at the servo, when i walked out some bloke called me over, he said he had a corona, and said it had its roof cut off but still had most parts, he said i could have it for free, so i went out for a look tonight, its a rt81, disc brakes and booster, perfect rear bumper, motor 4spd and diff, the nice rt81 grill in good nick, all lights, the rest of its pretty much farked but will just sit it in paddock for spares, then he showed us a few other cars, a hx ute, really straight, no rust holes or bubbles, just slight surface rust, running and drivable 220,000km, $300 :D then he showed us a hj 1 tonner, straight not much rust, started straight up after sitting for 6 months, $450, so getting both them too hahaha, hanging to pick it all up!! :y:

yeah i made 2" blocks for the rear and cut the front springs too haha
-
mines dropped 2" in the rear and about 1.5-2" in the front, but i have 16's so its still got heaps of clearance haha
-
i'm not saying it has, but its quiet possible the odo's been around, mine was 0n 98,000m when i got it, the interior is perfect, hoodliner, seats and door trims all perfect, under the cars clean as too, so possilble its done more than that and still as good, but who gives a rats ass anyways, if its good its good, iv'e got a link to mine below this if you wanna have a look :y:

sounds good mate, thanks for that, dunno if i'll bother with the fitting, i hate spending money on crap thats not really needed, if someone says something then i'll do it, they would just tell me to get one before the next round wouldn't they, i'd still be able to run in the meeting wouldn't i? -
looks great mate, looks like it would be fun to drive!

just gonna leave this here..... first GSXR1100 carbs started like this, i polished one top, i then decided they looked discusting.... so i did this, painted in silver acrylic so should stand the heat, don't care though haha, was to hard to clean the black off so just painted it.. then decided to do this... think it looks better, more detail. pulled the head off my spare motor, pulled the valves out and gave it a bit of a port job, gotta get a longer die grinder bit to get in deeper, or just buy a die grinder... gonna get rid if the massive valve guides thingamajigies too, then gonna just get a plate cut, then use my awesome new (second hand) mig to make a manifold, then gonna get the head shaved a bit too, should be sick, might take a few weeks though haha

thanks mate, i'll probs have to do it, think the first round in vic is a national one, i'm pretty sure the national rounds in vic run with the vic series? yeah i wanna make my own set of exrtractors too, mainly coz the cost of a good set of pacemakers is pretty high, and could probs make a pretty good tuned length set. i really need to make a good exhuast, i have a crap set of untuned $50 headers, going onto the standard Y piece, cut off before the cat then a big muffler, its got like 7 bits welded together haha. do you use a cross over pipe so it sounds like a single? i don't like the way a v6 sounds with twin pipes, good luck with your headers mate, hope they work well -
hey guys, not alot happening, got a nice pic this morning, thought id chuck it up as haven't got a good one with it lowered...

thanks for the info mate, yeah i'll try to be a bit more carefull of this one haha, thats interesting, will just run standard for now but something i can look into for the future i guess, could i trouble you for a pic of your jiffy tite fuel setup thing, gotta do that to and would probs be easier with a pic to go off, cheers Ok finally getting a few more bits, also brought a new (second hand) mig welder that welds nice, so gonna fix the exhaust up a bit, i have ordered the suspension intake tube, and picking them up friday. have an all alloy radiator coming next week. brought new gauges as don't trust the old ones.... have the battery cut off switch, gotta pull the motor, box and diff out and get them sealed, couple of bushes in the rear need doing, will do the LCA hole relocation on the k frame when motors out, got plenty of stuff to do before the first round, which i don't know when it is as they haven't put dates up yet..... -
awesome mate, looks sweet!
-
i think i said it wouldn't didn't i, can't remember though haha
-
looks good mate, i wasn't game to drill a hole further back as i didn't want to drill through to the inside haha, plate looks nice, i'll do mine a bit nicer when i get another box, made it a bit crap as i wasn't sure it would all work haha, thought the x member might be like that, my car has the same holes, but then more holes further back so was easy as, should be sweet though
-
you got my vote, congrats guys and good luck

WMMH: no matter what mood i'm in, when i walk around the corner and see my car, its just makes me smile a little :D
-
looking good mate, if its a car i don't care about too much i just stuff a rag in the chamber so the valve can't open then hit a socket on the top of the spring, collets normally just pop out, does't hurt anything, but if you have a valve spring compressor thats easier haha

in the shed haha, had it in for a few weeks, then the bearings shat themselfs, i got it off hard rubish for free as someone chucked it, must have sat outside for a while and got all rusty inside, so now running a w40, sucks balls haha
