  1. In this case division comes first, when you have multiple groups of like operations (ie division and multiplication, addition and subraction), you work left-to-right. So inside the brackets first -> (2+1)=3 This gives -> 6/2*3 Doing division first gives you -> 6/2=3 Then multiplying -> 3*3=9 The reason a lot of people get one is that they interpret the equation as 6/(2*(2+1)) - there is also some confusion as particular calculators treat a slash (/) as different to a division sign (which doesn't appear on normal computer keyboards)
  2. No they aren't. AW11 and ZZW30 are 4x100, SW20 are 5x114.3
  3. We had a wishing well too as Cara and I have been living together for ~3.5 years now, don't need extra house stuff. A couple of the people on my dad's side were real traditional though and insisted on a physical present, but most people these days are fine with a wishing well, even if it is essentially just paying for the cost of their meal. I think we ended up with about $2k on the night from ~50 guests, but that was blown away by my uncle who couldn't make it because he got offered some extremely lucrative work over in Thailand, so he sent us $3k - the instant that money cleared, our home-loan deposit fund started :D
  4. I saw some clouds....actually, the only sign down here that there was a partial eclipse going on was that you couldn't see the sun burning through the cloud cover like it normally would...... Stupid clouds....
  5. Neither of those are P-plate legal in NSW, so are you going to leave the conversion until you get your full license?
  6. That's because you're looking at the top side of a baffle/splash-plate :P Take the whole cam cover off and you might see a different story on the cams themselves...
  7. Probably not as much as you think, more likely it is the auto killing the torque (I've been in a couple of auto 7As and 4As and the manual makes things sooo much better)
  8. http://www.photoaction.net.au/#/page/home/ Tell them Ian and Cara recommended you to them, they were great, really easy to work with and cost us about the same for the two of them as most places were asking just for one guy :P
  9. Urgh, auto....
  10. Yeah, TOCAU is very ZZE/ZRE Corolla and XV40/XV50 Camry/Aurion based, but there are a few that lurk around with knowledge of the older models. Not that it's a bad forum though. And if you think there's not much love for the AE9x on TOCAU, there is barely any love ANYWHERE for the AE102 (except AE101oc) :P I'm the bastard orphan child of the Corolla world, too new for the old-skool sites, too old for the new crowd, and didn't have a local 4AGE model for the Twincam crowd.
  11. Or maybe they're doing line-work over that entire ~10k section, and you just happened to go past when they were in the middle of it.....bit hard to set up a rolling reduced speed limit, so much easier to drop it down for the entire section rather than just the ~100m where there are actually people doing work at that particular moment.
  12. There's nothing wrong with posting the same question across multiple forums (at last count I'm on 9 different Toyota forums), and plenty of people here have knowledge/experience with 4AGEs. Yes Toymods probably has a larger knowledge base than here, and Twincam more experience with the FWD 4AGEs, but doesn't mean you should discount Rollaclub.
  13. Mirroring what I posted on Toymods, just to help clear any confusion for future reference here:
  14. PM Rolla Boy, he did the conversion on his orange bug-eye 112.
  15. How much did it set you back?
  16. I was tempted to add "that's what she said"....
  17. I actually had the opposite experience in high school on our year 11 trip to the snow, everyone else had cheap crappy boots but I managed to score a pair of Salomons as they were the only ones that fitted
  18. I vary between a 12 and a 14 depending on the style of shoe, but my bigger problem is usually width
  19. Yes I do. I've got a pair of Cat boots at the moment (I work for Cat :P), and it's not really the boots that are the problem, it's the socks (cheap crappy ones from K-mart). Boots are a nice comfy tight fit with insoles, it is just that after 8+ hours with sweaty feet the socks (especially the seam on top of the toes) starts to irritate my feet and rub. Good quality seamless-toe socks would go a long way, but I'm flat-broke until pay day (and I wear boots 5 days a week so need a few pairs)
  20. WGMG - Blisters that have started to appear on my feet - really need some new good-quality work socks, the current ones are OK around the office but I was on site in a workshop for a good 12 hours yesterday and my feet are killing me. Flat-capped? Sorry, couldn't resist
  21. http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/faq/142-ae82-ae92-ae101-brake-upgrade-guide.html
  22. And in true VN fashion it probably can't even lay elevens.....good old single-peggers....
  23. Employee of the Month trophy for our first monthly(ish) LaserTag tournament - proper replica-style 4-5kg guns in the old jail LaserTag, not pew-pew-plastic crap...
  24. NSW is getting rid of rego stickers at the start of 2013 as well...
