  1. Um, a few months yet. I'm only an L plater right now so mods aren't really of any urgence..hehe.
  2. Damn you guys are fast. I'm thinking about going about 8.5 wide which seems the general average for the sorta rims I'm after, should look pretty phat with the flared guards and whatnot. This is really the best picture I have of my rims, I need a better one, that could be a project for tomorrow.
  3. Yeah, your thread prompted this question. I'll be flaring my guards eventually so I guess it's not really an issue for me. Just wondering for before that time comes.
  4. That's quite a good attitude. A lot of forums stick to the "If you haven't searched for the last hour, don't make a topic" attitude. The 'sweatshop' attitude if you will. POSTEN ON TOPIC OR GETTEN ZE WHIPPEN. Well, something on topic for once I guess, what sort of offset do you run on a normal KE?
  5. Scared the crap outta me. I thought I had pressed something stupid and made a real arse of myself. I didn't really need a new topic, I'm sure with a bit of searching I could find it myself but I'm fine with it staying open.
  6. I'd like to run a bit more dish on my KE. I have hotwire's too, not sure of the dimensions though. I'd like to get some Longchamp XR4's or some Equip's under there but I don't know what will fit. How wide can you typically go without flaring the guards? I also want my KE lower, tyre tucking low I think.
  7. Name: Andrew Car: 1984 KE70 C Sedan Motor & Driveline: 4K 4speed manual Suspension & Brakes: stock breaks with king springs. Wheels & Tyres: hotwire style rims, dunno what tyres. Interior: tan coloured plastic with Batman seat covers ;) Body: White and black...'Panda' if you will :jamie: Other: Pretty clean although it has extractors and an exhaust system with a horrible oval exhaust so it's pretty loud...usually seen roaming with my L plates. honk if you see me.
  8. That's what I did with the key lock I hadn't noticed, but my battery didn't charge so I just bought a new one. It probably would have charged but at least I know my battery's good.
  9. That is a very good idea. If we didn't live in a house that has little to no yard, I'd consider it. You should use the rest of the car, turn the front seats around, put a table of sorts in the middle and turn the bonnet into a barbey.
  10. Nope, I woke up at like 10 and mum had called mobile mechanics.
  11. It's all fixed now, turns out it was just a very, very dirty carb.
  12. I just read the whole thread. My horrid 56k hates it but I love it. Keep up the good work guys. Justin, I don't know how you have the patience to do this AND the Sprinter. You're a marvel.
  13. Just yank the wire out of it's little hole? Thanks for all your help mate, you've been a huge help. EDIT: I had a better look around. Do I have to take the whole air cleaner assembly off to get to the bolt that is like an inch in?
  14. Would this be it? If it is, what exactly do I do with it? Yank that little wire thing out or do I have to unscrew things? Like I said, I haven't got a clue about engines yet so I'm sorry for all the questions.
  15. Thanks mate. I don't mind the mags really but I'd rather find some longchamps for it. I also want it to sit a bit lower than that. It'll all come eventually.
  16. Well, I picked this up a few weeks back for $1900 and only just took pictures of it. It's my first car so I'm hoping to first, learn to drive and get my license of course, then get some experience with driving and working on cars, then get it driftable. As of now it's got an exhaust system with a horrible oval tip I'll be getting rid of, it's got extractors and some king springs. I pick up a webber for it in a week or so too. It's got some 'Champion' mags or something on it, they'll be going when I find something better but it's not urgent right now. Never realised it had such a small engine and right now it doesn't idle. I think it's the fuel solenoid now but I don't know what I'm doing Fairly nice interior, carpet's a bit shagged in spots but it'll do. Dunno what wheel it is but I like it. Two examples of the horrible exhaust tip. And of course, no car is complete with out the random Japanese sticker...dunno where he got this from. What do you think?
  17. I managed to get a photo and Teddy seems to think it's connected. Medecine Man suspects it's a fuel solenoid? He told me the general location of it but I don't know what to do. I'll take a better picture of it tomorrow and post it up. This is what I got, Teddy says the green one is the idle cutoff and it seems connected but can anyone explain that green, white and red wire?
  18. Ok, I had a poke around this morning, noticed a red, white and green wire that wasn't connected to anything, but didn't notice any other disconnected things? I might try get a pic because to be honest, I've got no idea what I'm doing.
  19. That sounds about right actually. I never really had to pump the gas to get it started until the new battery. Thanks a lot. ...now if it wasn't raining, I could fix it.
  20. My KE70 has developed an idle problem. I drained the battery completely dead last week which was my own stupid fault and after replacing it, the car starts and unless I rev it, it idles pretty lumpy and the dies after 3 - 5 seconds. I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with my choke and I don't know what it could be. I was thinking it might be because the old owner filled it up with premium and I don't? Anyone got a clue? Help much appreciated.
