  5. fook has a better looking body does he work out?
  6. fooks looks better i agree but yeah its a rally car so you have to expect its not goign to look all that flash
  7. jamie - no it was on vhs, its one of those 'serious performance' videos teddy - its not that exciting, you just see a scabby old 4k going 'BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ' for 5 mins hehe I'm sure you can still buy the video but really its not worth paying $30 to watch an hour of checkerplate to see 1 minute of 4k
  8. was watching a video of the 2002 (?) new zealand nats yesterday, they had an engine blow up contest between a 12A rotary and a toyota 4k, basically they run them with no radiator/oil etc on full throttle and see how long they last the results mazda rotary : 10 seconds toyota 4k : 5mins 51 seconds made me smile
  9. you could probably get a brake/clutch place to make you one up for about $20 - and you know it will work properly...
  10. is it a rubber line or a metal bundy line?
  11. If anyone needs any Ke10 or Ke11 part numbers I have the book here in the office...
  12. please for the love of god do not roll your guards with a steel pipe in fact please don't do it at all, it makes your real wheel arches look like they are made of paper when there is no lip there and if you get water under the fold (you will) the thing will rust to pieces PLEASE NO! nothing wrong with those 'pump up' shockers except they tend to leak and you need to repressurise them regularly
  13. fook is a strange guy who wants to put datsun parts on his toyota (blasphemy!) HE SPEAKS NOT FOR THE REST OF US TOYOTA LOVERS!
  14. i don't care what its made of because i already know it works on everything!
  15. have used permatex ultra blue on everything you could imagine for about the last 5 or 6 years and never had a problem diffs, manifolds, sumps, carbs...
  16. no, you are just being realistic, when considering bang for buck. like a 4afe vs 4age. some of the 4afes put out more power (and torque) than the earlier rwd 4ages. some young dude wouldn't have anything but the 4age. i've seen a few 4afes on the web turboed putting out over 300 hp, so there really can't be too much wrong with them. with the "fe" versions there would be nothing stopping you fitting a set of warmer cams and giving the head a cleanup. the difference between them and a "ge" version would be minimal then. with you on this one lots of good motors out there but they don't have the 'fulsik factor' :P
  17. sr20 turbo motor = nissan strength and reliability. stock bottom ends can make a lot of power. sr20 non turbo = utter pile of shit. built cheaply, slow and break easily. neither are my cup of tea as i don't like datsuns but you cannot fault the strength and potential of the sr20det
  18. damn, its not a WB! re: breaking diffs i have only ever done spider gears except the last one where the bolts that hold the ring gear to the carrier were smashed to pieces
  19. sr20 de motors are utter rubbish, they don't hang together very well at all
  20. one less WB ute on the road good news all round!
  21. alcohol and motorsport shouldnt mix...but I think there is...unsure tho not if you are driving but for spectating, bring it on. what else are you supposed to do for 2 full days? *has visions of bathurst and motorised eskys*
  22. is there a bar at willowbank?
  23. so are we meeting at willowbank on saturday or do you all want to meet up on sat night for some illegal street racing and skids and high speed police chases? that was sarcasm by the way, though i wouldnt mind seeing some skids! but seriously, daytime or night time or what??
  24. jamboree.com.au its 2 days j-dogg :P i don't want to call you, ill just text - i feel more comfortable knowing you in a strictly text sense. you might have a funny voice!
  25. back to the burnout comp - i wouldnt bother with a k series corolla, a 265 valiant is the ultimate cheap skid machine... soak some tyres in diesel for a few weeks and you have yourself a trophy winner :P
