  1. Hey, really nice interior mods, i like the charcaol and the skyline seats...looks real comfy you wouldnt want to get out. keep up the good work.
  2. yeah i remember reading this in a modern motor magazine as a supposed great new revalation and joint partnership when it was hot news i maybe still have the magazine, not sure.i was pretty young then and didnt think much of the idea even back then. holdens were already slow enough he he he with the red six in them yet alone a little rotary in a big car what a waste. talk about goin in the other direction from the v8 lj torana light and mighty powerful.
  3. HI YA, Yes i agree with you on the colours thing for sure and i could sit here and do so many combinations and variations of colours to the paint scheme`s till my eye balls turn those colours.....he he he he. and yes the final look and life like product always look better than a shitty computer image. thank you for your praise and hey why not let ya air brush guy go nuts on your car,at least then you have acheived the goal of being individual in motoring style.... i say go for man, let the imagination run wild and when its done. show the good people of rolla club and be proud..... cheers Terry
  4. HI YA DUDE hey thanks..seems there is a few favourites of the styles i have offered up,maybe should do some sedans and coupes...lol cheers terry
  5. HI 2 All, ok another paint scheme in the flavour of fiffties ol school traditional flat black n flames
  6. HI,yeah i agree that looks like shit that photoshop dodgy pic,if toyota bothered to make a ke series pick up/ute it would have been done much neater than that from factory. they sure got it right with the ke36-38 panel van.love the vans cheers teza
  7. HI 2 All, just came across this thread and yes very interesting topic for sure and it did bring back some memories for me,in adelaide back in the 1980`s i was in my twenties and my fastest car by far was my 1977 CL CHARGER with 340 small block v8,727 auto trans and 2.77 diff from a chrysler x chrysler sedan.(the blue one with graphics in my thread custom paint jobs for corolla`s) it ran a mopar performance purple cam of streetable grind, edelbrock torker 340 manifold and holley 4 barrel 600 vac sec carby. i used to visit swan reach on the murray river frequently and it is a good drive with long straight stretches of tarmac, once chased a 944 porsche (the ugly one with the jensen style back window) and kept in sight for a while, NO I DIDNT CATCH IT YET ALONE KEEP UP WITH IT...LOL. but the old charger was a humming and shaking its tits off at 190+ km/h,and yes at that age it did scare the living brown stuff out of me (valiants never did handle well at that speed the nose lifted that much you thought you would take an overseas flight). ahhhhhhh memories, oh yeah another trip was to the wagga wagga nats in 1988 i think it was (the one with the riots on the streets)a mate in his hj monaro 2 door (308,turbo 400 auto n 9 inch diff) just couldnt keep with me on the way home...lol cheers teza
  8. HI YA Pieman and Ke30corolla.coupe, firstly thank you and I'm glad you like what you have seen. have not had much time to play on the computer with more design`s until today (9-11-06), so had another go at something of a different style.Yes been done before and looks good on cars in real life, this one has a corporate race style feel about it. cheers Teza
  9. Hey Paul, thanks you for the kind words and man i sure hope you do get the old ap5 valiant back on the road. i learned to drive in a push button auto ap5 and love the style and look of them. good luck with all your projects. cheers teza
  10. HEY Dan,thank you very much for your kind words, i have never been to W.A, may be i should book my next holiday over there and we would be right to do the job he heh, and rattle cans are good for other than graffitti .....lol..... cheers teza and yes people should not be so lazy and do a search of the site it has great information.
  11. hi ya, yep all painted by myself. and no not a painter by trade, just into doin different stuff and learn as i go....lol cheers glad u like what you seen terry
  12. hey besides the flak you have just copped by others, welcome to the rolla club, seeing as you just joined yesterday. and also if the pic at the bottom is your corolla...... very bloody nice looking car mate.... and yes any modification requires a shit load of thought and planning and money. as it was said...it can be done...the choice is yours... morons is a bit harsh...we all start some where and know f@$k all about it guys. cheers teza
  13. HI Rollacdmd, Ok as requested here are pics of work i have done to my own cars over the years.i no longer unfortunately own these cars any more. 1977 cl charger, masked up and graphics done with rattle cans (pressure pack) in early 90`s. 1968 dodge pillarless phoenix, masked up and done with a spray gun inlate 90`s. vc valiant flat black n flames, masked up and done with spray gun in year 2000. all edges were done with pinstripe tape to get a clean edge, masked up sprayed and then all paper and tape in the bin after job was sprayed (no pin stripe tape left around the edges. ok hope that cures your curiosity. and like i said before,do you have a design in mind of your own etc. yeah and money is a problem to save for the most of us,so don't feel bad....lol cheers teza40 p.s. sorry about the quality of pics they were scanned from prints not from a digital camrea.
  14. hi ya.ok thats cool top chops are not for every car,but it was fun doing it he he he. well i rekon jip 01 has come the closest to cherry black paint. but hey cherry black looks black until the light hits it and the colour throws back of the car. cheers sorry i wasnt of the right help i would need better than paint program to do a good paint make over on a pic, adobe photoshop is very costly package.tho is great to use,so many tricks can be done to pics
  15. Hey thanks guys. I'm glad too see that people are getting something out of this little topic, and 12 months of graphic design and digital art when i was in my 30`s hasnt gone totally too waste....lol. it helps to be a car nut also. cheers teza
  16. yep a bit more radical and some different colours.
  17. ok same as before not all that was asked for, yes i am using other peoples photos to do this exercise as i do not have any pics of my own. i certainly hope that the persons that own the vehicles used do not take offence or get pissed off at me.
  18. ok so its not HSV cherry black and it does not have the wheels he asked about. i spent a couple of minutes on paint program and did this. gives you an idea on what it looks like teza
  19. HI YA Wetyet, photoshop chop of a ke30 what? sedan coupe or 2 door? hsv cherry black may be hard too duplicate with photoshop colours or even in the paint programme of the computer. i may be able to give it a go for you cheers terry
  20. HI 2 ALL, ok another paint scheme, one for the yellow/mustard coloured cars. very much 70`s style like the ford falcon sundowner van or chrysler valiant drifter. some may like it and many may vomit, but it is just a design idea. cheers teza
  21. HI Rollacdmd, firstly thanks and yes i have done a few custom paint jobs on my own cars over time. I WOULD NOT SAY that i do a perfect show class job (but for a street car, regularly driven.i don't see the point in show class, some one will always stuff it for you eventually). i consider that i do a job that will last and look good ( I E neat n tidy ). Cost is mainly in the materials as with any thing you do with a vehicle, its also a time factor with paint schemes. Do you have your own design in mind?and colours that you preffer. if you would like graphics etc just laid over your existing paint,it would be much cheaper than a full respray and then graphics. send me a pm if you wish too discuss this further,I'm up for it. i love doing this type of work. thanks terry
  22. WOW!!!!!! Some interest in this topic. ok so the paint schemes may or may not have been done already (i gave up buying and lookin at street machine magazine years ago). i guess i could come up with more styles,it really is a personal thing designs and colours. good feed back and thanks for taking the time to look and comment cheers teza40
  23. Hey xany Thanks for fixing up my posting stuff up. cheers teza
  24. HI TO All, ok so i have this ke38 panel van(2 door wagon if you like). want it too look different, have been checking out the neat corollas on here and noticed. that not many custom paint jobs (yes,ok its a personal thing wether you like them or not) i have done a few custom paint schemes on cars i have owned in the past and like custom paint as a rule (flames mostly). so got too the paint program in this computer and started playing with ideas, for the ke38 because I'm wanting it too be different (fast does not matter to me that much but looks do). so check these out and feel free to pass comments (or vomit if you don't like...lol) thanks teza40
  25. OOOOOOHHHHHHHH YEEEEAAAAHHHH nice sled project the 53. you are very lucky, for it to be in that condition for sitting out in the open such a long time.(31 yrs) the ones we can source here in oz (if you can find them) are usually very rusty through the sides of the roof and many other places. so will you keep this one? still think the 49 would have been nice in flat black and traditional coloured flames, (white, yellow, orange and red).
