hi, just a note on the seat dilemma... ok i just purchased a ke38 wagon which had later model square style rolla seats possibly ke70-ae71 not real sure.i now have them in my 1979 ke38 panel van and they were a straight swap, tho i did have to use the inertia reel seat belts with wire rod seat belt stalks. as the original stalk is bolted to the side of the seat in 79 ke 38 van (not sure if this is the normal tho..)so the seats fitted nice and the floor under the original vinyl mat had the threaded hole to take the seat belt stalks....so easy and sooo comfortable to drive now.. good luck teza40

ok no probs, don't hurry in the shitty weather conditions cheers teza

hey st nick, nice little van and well done on the damage repair job.glad to see it survived. just got to keep those vans on the road, and yes they look neat with no side windows. but hey beggers can't be chosers and I'm not ashamed to have side windows in my ke38 van. cheers from teza in bris vegas

oh wow wow wow, $4k usd for that lovely desoto, shoot we would be paying anything from minimum $30,000 aud for that in that condition over here in australia. thats if you could find one here in that condition an imported need lots of work to bring it too that condition would be at a starting price of around $12,000 to $15,000 aud. like i said before else where on here....living in the wrong country for classic mopars... oh bugger just settle for the toyota and keep dreaming. cheers teza

HI YA Pebbleboy, sure was a sweet looking ke36 panel van in those pic`s.usually i don't much like modern style rims but they set it off real slick. ok you want too hear from other ke36 van owners, ummmm well how about ke38 1979 panel van with windows in silver paint n patches (very slowly doin her up) stoko to the day it was born, apart from the station wagon seat my nan had fitted back in 1988. Yeah she passed it down to me late last year after 22 years ownership and man i can't part with it. cheers teza

hi ya ok thats not a problem on the white 4 door, better off to keep altogether and sell to be revived by some one who wants it.is there an eye brow mould on the right hand side of the red hard top can't see it in the pic,any mouldings laying around in side the car from the front? i realise it may be a pain in the arse asking for parts and not whole cars from such a long distance away (across the pond).any help is much appreciated and my mate is willing to wait a while for the parts as he is still working on the rebuild and is doing it right.big dollars have been spent considering he could have just rebuilt the chev small block and had fun driving it thanks teza
-
hi ya Mikey. thats a nice looking 2dr version of plymouth don't mind that at all and yes the 4dr is a good look for custom job also. i spoke with my mate with the 60 chev coupe the other day and he would like to find out prices also on the doors from those coupes and condition eg rust etc, also the eye brow mould (s) headlight surround (s) and possibly the grille from the grey/blue coupe or if your mate would possibly do so those parts mentioned from the 4 door sedan, certainly understand if he wont seperate a complete car. cheers teza
-
HI YA Mikey,ok no worries on the prices.when you can is good, wow what a treasure trove of classic and not so classic american cars.you guys sure don't go much for the 4 door sedans to do up hey.over here these days unless you have big money too play with for an aussie 2 coupe, a four door sedan or a wagon is mostly the next best thing we can play with to do up. even the old panel vans are getting rare to find. cheers teza
-
HI YA Mikey.. ok i was a year out on my guess..lol. ouccchhh it got hurt bad then down that side, thats ashame i think that shape makes for a neat A body cruiser. The 68 valiant 4 door signet would be pretty neat also, fair few differences to it and our aussie ve-f-g valiant. did u happen to get a price on the 60 chev coupe mouldings? cheers teza
-
HEY Mikey, thank you for the pics of the 60 chev`s,those left side trims look in good to fixable condition. on the primer red 60 coupe (front shot with no grill) is there a trim on the opposite side for the rear quarter? also could you please advise how much for said trims. in the very back ground the white car side on of the pic with the grey coupe driver side trim, is that a 2 door valiant or dart of early to mid 60`s (at a guess 65-66) vintage.looks to have far side front damage may be. are there many dead valiants in the feilds?just curious is all.we didnt get that shape in australia cheers teza
-
HI Mikey, wow hows that for luck, would it be possible to get photos of the 2 door 60`s particularly the mouldings, doors. i will contact him let him know.what dollars also would he be looking at.he has a contact for a businees over there that imports stuff to a business local to us in australia. cheers teza
-
HI MIKEY,Ok found pic of mates 1960 chev 2 door belair he is looking for the chrome mouldings, e.g. rear quarter etc,I'm guessing very hard to get hold of (but even harder over here in australia). any help will be much appreciated, and yes that is an international scout pick up in the back ground. cheers teza40
-
HI YA Mike, firstly loving what you are doing to try n save the classic yank metal,a friend of mine her in queensland australia has a1960 2 door post chevrolet belair in nearly finneshed rebuild stage. he is looking for a few parts to complete this project and make the car real pretty, arethere any of this described model in the yards that you are dealing with or perhaps parts stored away. cheers teza40 morayfield, queensland, australia p.s. can post pic of this car before restoration started (when i find it) if required.

oooohhhh yes a mate of mine would love that 1961 mopar in post 12 with the reverse fins,he he he he. his name for them is elephant ears (61 dodge phoenix). i don't mind them either, altough 1965 model is my favourite. and thanks 7 shades I'm a mopar dude full on.

WOW, yes liking the plymouth fury 1 sedan very much.i rebuilt the same model car here in australia many years ago,tho we called them dodge phoenix and they had the right hand drive dash out of the canadian polara (i think).and the fury 1 picture is our actual offering in1965 new here. where are these cars located mike and how much u.s.d would the fury1 sedan be to purchase as a matter of interest? cheers teza

OH YES......... you little beauty, corolla panel van went for roadworthy this morning 1-12-06. PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS.... :y: :y: :y: . they had to replace a few bulbs in number plate light etc,the rest of the car checked out real good.71% on the brakes, handbrake satisfactory yada yada yada..... so to matt and his mechanic partner at morayfield vehicle inspection centre & mechanical a big thanks and to my dear old nan a huge thanks for giving me the car and keeping it in mechanical great condition for all those years of her ownership. so now to get registered in my name and have some fun doing some changes to the old girl in the future. cheers teza

hi 2 all, yes its been a while since i have updated this, the panel van goes for its roadworthy friday. i sure hope it gets through first go. have replced the bonnet with a non rusty one i got from narangba wreckers $70,a couple of second hand tyres for the rear original rims from tyres galore in morayfield $40, the rust is done the car is stock as and the cops followed me home the other saturday...legalised harrasment i call it.they didnt get me didnt even pull me up to speak with me...go figure..guess they were just bored. when the ke38 is registered in my name is when i can do more to it via the way of its first custom paint job, will be grey primer with 50`s style scallops that complement the body lines and maybe in the future some moon disc`s and porta wall white walls (flappers). stayed tuned guys. this is to be my cheap but fun times panel van cruiser cheers teza
