  1. Ahh awesome, very nice indeed. What's the plans for it? Motokhana/drift/thrasher? Would be very fun :)
  2. 20-30kw. Torque however is the main part.
  3. Haha that is awesome, and a fair amount of cars you have hoarded too. I want an AE86 :lolcry: Recommend videos of taking to EB with said crowbar :y: Edit: apparently ( y ) is a weird hippy thing not a thumbs up. :lolcry:
  4. I just clicked on it to see what it was haha! Thank god I have slow internet and had it closed before any pictures had loaded
  5. +20mm O/A increase if XT130 LCAs are used, aswell as what ever the hubs add. Unsure of the hub offset though, so I don't know an exact answer there. How 15x7 -2 wheels sat on stock guards with Xt130 Struts, hubs and LCAs for an idea of track increase.
  6. Awesome:) Will have to come and see this thing in action sometime:P
  7. Yes they can work with the standard Corona brakes...But the rotor will slightly foul on the end of the LCA. I Just gave the end of the LCA a few love taps with a hammer to slightly flatten off the bit that touched, and it works a treat.
  8. If you use the XT130 LCAs it gives about 1º-2º negative camber, so I guess if you use standard KE arms, then it would probably stay close to 0º. I've only ever had my car with XT130 LCAs and struts, or standard LCAs and XT struts, but with camber tops, so I don't have any comparative photos or just plain struts by them selves. The main problem is the fat Corona hubs will give a fair bit more track, so may cause flush fitting wheels to poke out even more.
  9. Ahh lol. Thought you had only just pulled off the road and got stuck there, and not even made it to the hill :sob:
  10. Quite possibly one of the funniest things I have seen in recent times! I love how you only made it like 6ft off the road and got bogged :sob: Wait for a nice dry day and you should be set :sob:
  11. ^^ +1 My sisters old KE55/30/something is like that. 3 full pumps of the pedal, hold it flat then turn the key. Starts like a dream. However, if you don't pump it at all, it will just sit there cranking over aimlessly.
  12. I agree with Irokin. PROBABLY!!!!111 Or, go here and find out.
  13. Get some lower offset rims. Sounds like you have some very positive FWD spec wheels. ie +35 or something. If it is only just on the strut, you could use a small slip on spacer to make them clear, or if alot, get bolt ons.
  14. You don't need a bigger MC for the conversion Mikey_M has done. The standard one is perfectly fine for the 2 spot Corona callipers. The H/P/C one in the link you posted is for massive 4 spot callipers from a Hi-lux. In the case of that, then yes you will need to upgrade to a 15/16" minimum MC. The other 4 piston upgrade that is more used is the RX7 calliper upgrade. Lighter setup with alloy callipers as opposed to big bloody cast hilux ones. Though, they both will make a 900kg corolla stop on a dime :y:
  15. I never upgraded my master cylinder with the twin spots on mine. Have had no brake issues at all. A tiny bit more travel in the pedal (I like it better) but not at all close to being "soft" and needing to pump it to get some feel. Try re-bleeding the brakes and start from passenger rear, drivers rear, then passenger front then drivers front. Maybe do as above and check for leaking hoses. I know that my original rubber hoses were quite tired looking and looked as if they could go at any minute. Dodgy master cylinder maybe?
  16. get drunk, see strippers. :y:
  17. Yeah 5K is still going strong :hmm: Hardly driven it though to be honest. Got it back from being tuned, then drove it for a couple of weeks, and then had it off the road again while I did the guards and other little things. But now I can't wait to drive it again. Though I must admit, I am already bitten by the power bug. Thinking a 4AGZE or GTE in the future some time, but not anytime soon. :y:
  18. Haha 'nuff said :hmm: Thanks though :P I just can't wait to drive it again. Getting sick of the 1.2L auto ke55/30/something that I am currently using :y:
  19. Wow! Were there any coils left on the springs in the rear when you got it, or did Mr Makita have his way and remove 90% of them? :hmm: Looks like a fun little project. Should be interesting to see a boosted 18RG in there. Such a different conversion route compared to the normal 4AG(Z)(T)E. Nothing wrong with that though, will still be a bag of fun to drive :P Good luck with it, will be keen for updates :y:
  20. Yeah that was one thing I am unsure about. It looks to be the wrong way, but the tyre is fitted with the outside to the outside of the rim. Tread direction runs the other way on the LHS, but obviously because the rim rotated 180º to fit that side. I rang Bridgestone to double check if the RE001's should have a lhs and a rhs tyre to have the same tread direction on each side, but they don't. So yeah depending on which side the tyre is on, the direction is different. :y:
  21. Couldn't tell you tbh if they will work, but hey might as well try it out, see if thing line up etc. I really have no idea so yeah can't help there. And 2 spots look like this: Pretty easy to tell the difference between them and the single piston ones:)
