  1. May look a little like tat with bolt ons and widened steelies. I like.
  2. Used to listen to- Nevermore Pain of Salvation Opeth Queensryche and, Extreme :hmm: Now it is engine noise ;)
  3. Redwarf, Your's some sort of TVR? Edit: Damn, you guys are quick!
  4. NO CHEATING!! (Refer to Taz's mistake)
  5. Yeah it was more the side of the back of the blade, as the riving knife blocks the full back of the blade. Either way, when my thumb hit it, it just bounced it into the air and away from the blade as the blade was spinning towards me. Funny thing was when it happened, it made a dull thud to which my immediate thought was "hmm, f@$k, that wasn't timber hitting the blade...". Sure enough my thumb was dripping with blood :P
  6. It was on the panel saw at work. Went to flick a bit of scrap out of the way of the blade before I turned it to 45º. As I pushed the scrap past, the end of my thumb clipped the back of the blade. It isn't an overly bad injury as such, just sort of tore the skin and flesh and took a little chunk off the end of the thumb. Just frustrating having the bandage on my thumb as it is just so hard to do things with it bandaged. Worst thing is that I am always so carful about using the saw and moving the scrap out of the way, but I was just in a hurry and all it took was a tiny concentration lapse and ended up hitting it. It'll heal, but there were a hell of a lot of "what ifs" running through my head after it happened. I hope for your sake that your puncture wound doesn't get infected. Make sure you clean/had it cleaned thoroughly as nail wounds are nasty.
  7. How hard it is to do things without the full use of my right thumb. Saw blade 1, End of thumb 0
  8. Well, the car now has an added 5th gear! Finally got a 5 speed box (Thanks very much to shauns ke30). Put her in this morning with the old man, and it is very nice. Finally no more ridiculously loud gearbox noises, so I can actually hear the induction. Makes driving alot more enjoyable now:) But yeah, <3 twin carbies :D
  9. Bad luck on the diff mate! Hopefully she doesn't let go or do anything funny between now and fixing it, as it might make things worse than they already are. You'll have to get some videos of the car in action when you are at Winton, would really like to see how it goes. Any news on when your new wheels will be arriving? Been a few weeks now yeah?
  10. Couldn't agree more ^^ I have a jar at home with about $150 worth of shrapnel which came about from emptying my wallet after each night at the pub. I think it is a good way of saving money that would have other wise been spent of useless stuff. Probs not enough to get a flight to Japan though...
  11. Happy Birthday mate! Hope you have/had a good day
  12. Hey Mike, I would suggest making your own by using a coilover kit and just getting some decent shocks. The price you pay for new coilovers, you can do it for much less if you do it yourself. Though, if you still want to buy them new, Aye Jay Pee S make them ands sell them for around $1000 clams if I remember correctly. But as said, AE86DC is your best bet when looking to get some coilovers. Good luck.
  13. Thanks for the comments guys. :y: Paint is just going to stay how it is. It really isn't worth the time or money to do a proper job on it as it isn't the best body going. I'm hoping to find a better body for my next project car, and if I do, it'll get the proper treatment for paint.
  14. Let the fun begin!
  15. Below average quality video
  16. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/s...read.php?t=1115 Edit: Thought that had info on the SV21 inserts, but it doesn't list them. Still a good read as it shows many other options. Second edit: I think Medicine_Man on here uses SV21 inserts in his struts. Maybe message him and see if he has a measurement.
  17. Thanks mate, I'm glad too. Certainly been a while since I first began work on the new setup! So I decided Today that I would finally rig up a thermo-fan setup for this as the clutch driven one on it was buggered and had no shroud so in return, gave little to no cooling at all. Got a 12" thermo from Supercheap Auto which does the trick nicely and used a Davies Craig thermo switch (thankyou 13BT_KE20). I have it currently set to come on at about the first dash past the "Cold©" mark which is roughly about mid 50ish degrees(?) and it works a treat. While I was at it, I fitted a new water pump to replace the old one with sloppy bearings. So the next thing to do is replace the alternator as I get massive voltage drop when I turn my lights on and now discovered the same thing when the fan turns on. So when the fan and lights are on, revs drop from about 900 to 300. Not exactly the best thing to have in a car, so I'll make an attempt at getting it done next weekend. Will have a video of her up soon for anyone interested, once I work out how to convert it to a usable format on YouTube. And, May 2nd = Tarmac Motokhana for the local car club. Stocked as I want to take the new setup for a decent run...legally. :y:
  18. Ebay, aye jay pee ess, any other trader on ae86drivingclub. If KE55 are the same as KE70 then yes. May be easier to just use the ones from the XT130 and do it in one go.
  19. I'd love to see a K series setup. Sure they might not be as fast as other engines, but for the price and simpleness of them, they would be more than enough to have fun in and be a good choice of engine for a class for people wanting to race for fun. And with minor mods, they still are reasonably quick in small cars. I've seen some videos on The Tube from some Starlet cup in Japan, and seriously, I'd love to be racing in a class like that. I am doubtful that it would succeed, but should it do, and there are a good number of entrants, it would make for some really interesting racing. Just because it isn't as fast as higher capacity classes, doesn't mean drivers would get bored. Boredom would come from lack of competitors and tracks more so than engine choice. Some nice even matched racing would be awesome to be a part of. And a track full of screaming K's would be a nice sight/sound :)
  20. Ahh thanks for that info about the valves. I have rubber ones in 2 of them, but the other pair had the metal ones. When I decide to get tyres I'll get them swapped :y: I would have some videos up, but seriously, the gearbox is so bad. It is somewhat embarrassing driving with it the way it is  Might put one up anyway soon. I was just about to go for a drive anyway :)
  21. Soooo....... I FINALLY GOT THE CAR BACK!!! :) It is awesome, really happy with the tune. Sounds unreal too, feels good to be apart of the proper induction club :y:. Fuel economy seems surprisingly well too. 4th gear(100km/h) whole way home (110ish kms) and only used about 1/4 of a tank. Next to do is get a new gear box sorted. Mine absolutely knackered and is on its final legs. Bearing whine is louder than both the induction and exhaust note combined :y: So if anyone has one laying around (K-50) let me know!! Would love to get it dynoed out of curiosity as I'd love to compare it with a 4AGE in performance. As it is now, it will pull from 40km/h in 4th and keep on going. Such a noticeable difference with the Dellortos and that compared to a stock 5k with a Weber. Just need to sort the gearbox and I'll be nearly 100% happy with the car. :y: (Then I'll start on another project) Alex out.
  22. 1968 Toyota Corona Coupe 2.0L, 5-speed Manual - First page. DO WANT! Wonder how many beans all those cars are worth :) Very nice collection though.
  23. No chance that the new ones are flipped? Never actually seen what they look like flipped, but could explain why they seem to be different to the others? :P
  24. Sucks to hear about Sonsta ripping you off! To be honest, I thought he would be one of the decent members on there to trade with as he is quite well know (it seems) by alot of the guys on there. Hopefully he returns the rest of the money owed and you can get some other seats sorted from a better seller. :D Regarding Krudd money, did you get any sort of notification about receiving it, or did it just randomly appear in your account? Only asking as I havn't checked my account in a while so have nfi if it may have come in yet :y:
