Saw Luke again about 3 weekends back, saturday, somwhere around Mt Torrens?!? Who's driving the Yellow KE70 wagon with the locker, pulled into blackwood woolies carpark last night to use the ATM Nah, think I was in the old man's rod-e-o HAha - don't lump me with the KE20 crowd man! 10's all the way. But yeh definitely me. And there's not that much primer on it....... Just round the headlight!
  3. There's a 5K for sale on here at the moment, in Adelaide, 400 bucks.
  4. Bursons, Motor Traders etc should all get you one of those Permaseal EM30's.
  5. Nice work - still not topping my 68! Plus I had my head port matched so I've probably got a couple more ponies now......
  6. Redo your maths Captain. As for your motor revving 8-9 daily, unbalanced, I would have to put forward my doubts about the accuracy of your tacho. Anyway, I just put forward the claim made in the faq on building a tough K engine. Although it is anecdotal only.
  7. I'd say either will be fine. I'd probably use the Toyota item myself, although the other item does look like good quality gear.
  8. sammo, not quite. I've priced up a few bits, but until I finish the design and get a quote from a laser cutter I can't be certain. Ideally I'd like to do it for 150. ke55pig, I'm fairly sure there are some on the market that fit all models later than KE10's, just do a search because it's come up on the forums before.
  9. Seriously, the Permaseal gasket should be large enough. How much meat did you take out of these ports and I demand pictures.
  10. So you want to build an oversquare motor to get it to rev? Forget it. Put a hayabusa engine in, getting close to your capacity anyway and it rolled out of the factory built to rev it's tits off. Plus - the claim is that K blocks hit a harmonic at 8000+ revs with reasonable consistency. Balancing wont rectify that.
  11. Awesome. This thing is going to be cool. Dare I ask what it cost to modify the offset on those rims?
  12. Good answer ozone.
  13. You mean the white one? that came from melbourne originally and now it's gone to sydney hasn't it?
  14. Not a metal fabricator, but If you've got stuff that can be made from sheetmetal, I'll be designing some bits and pieces and getting a bunch of parts lasercut in the near future. Also, I'll be buying a TIG towards the end of the year so I'll be able to weld bits and pieces (Steel and Stainless). PM me with what you're thinking and I might be able to offer some advice. TP.
  15. Yeh that could be done, for sure. Are you sure it wont fit over? Not seen many SR's in ke's.
  16. how's the turkeys arguing in the comments. Good clip. Intro track nowhere near as cool as the Climb Dance piano action.
  17. sketchy - what sort of crack whores you guys buy these things off?
  18. jesus man you could get the shit ported out of it, skimmed, rebuilt and probably bigger valves for that money.
  19. Yeh I thought that was the case for the KE20's. I'll knock up the top plates for the 10's and if people are interested in them for ke20s I'll design plates for them as well and I'll be able to use the same brace bar.
  20. fark man, buying cars of smackies - you wanna make sure you don't get a jab from one!
  21. Yeh, the main issue is the height of the car when on the hoist. I was going to measure the average sedan height plus 1.91 metres (I'm 1.90 tall) and build the roof that high! Did you need extra rebar in the slab as well?
  22. OK guys, I've been quiet for a while.... I'm going to buy a TIG welder and I'll need to put it to work. I will be designing some strut braces for KE10's and if I can get access to KE20 to measure it up, I'll make some for them as well. Basically they will be: - Full stainless steel, so they'll polish up nice. Not as light as Aluminium but they'll look nice - threaded ends, left and right hand threads so they can be wound out firmly - Cool. - designed to clear K engines - they will be straight bars, so I won't be able to garauntee fitment over taller engines like 4AGE's etc. So, if you would be interested in getting one for your 10 or 20, let me know. As far as I can see, nobody is making them for these models? Cheers TP
  23. Those numbers sound reasonable. The problem is usually seen when one cylinder is different to the rest. The relationship between cylinder pressure and compression ratio is complex and cylinder pressure won't tell you the comp ratio.
  24. Man do the disc swap. Front drums are diabolical. I had to keep adjusting the bastards all the time on my old car.
  25. TW Engineering in St Agnes. Top blokes, turned mine out in a short number of days. Speak to Wayne.
