  1. Why don't you just tell the authorities and then they will remove it for you. not as much of a problem...but then you have to have them search the entire place etc... hmm. actually, what are you going to do???
  2. Ants need Caffeine Too... How else do you expect them to work all day???
  3. new gearbox (T50), new engine mounts, New Crossmember (AE71), new gearbox mount, convert to hydraulic clutch from cable clutch, possibly pedal box also? are the main things needed to change. Pics arent working for me but by the sounds of it your ride is sweet. Good to see another ke70 turning to the 4a way of life
  4. Hey all. Update! I painted some of the plastic bits that were all old looking, now they look much more presentable. The fender garnishes, the vents behind the bonnet (don't know what they are actually called) and the tail light surrounds. Pics: I will be painting the grill and bits around it very soon. What you all think so far?
  5. 4AG I like it. Makes me want to hurry my build up. And I hope its not a 4AGC, C stands for californian emissions. i don't like emissions gear But i like your build so far, coming along good
  6. Yep more than likely will have too much power for stock suspension and steering! Will see how much better she goes with the new paint job when i do it. then determine how soon the suspension needs to be done
  7. Maybe you shouldnt have painted it... Well maybe its just a subtle hint from the car that "well i look good but i need more get up and go to go with it!!" Maybe a time for your 7k upgrade
  8. That must be an old video...Things have changed!!! KE20
  9. Also another thing that turns people off cars with conversions that have been done...Is it Engineered.
  10. Yeah its meant to have writing on it. It is just an "S" on the knob. i can get you a picture of mine if need be.
  11. and sixsixone mine is an ae71 not a ke70. so its not so much of a waste
  12. just at local events that are on flat track or downhill track, for the hillclimbs i will use my st162 celica. 3sge pulls a little bit harder than 4a-c BUT...if i do put all those foriegn objects under the bonnet i think it should go faster than the celica...decisions so basically i will be racing it once every month or so, maybe every 2nd month. but once i finish the 4age i might spread to some other events like track days etc.
  13. that definately sounds like a good idea. interesting to see the results of that
  14. It wont be extremely light. I will be taking out the carpet, rest of sound deadener, and anything else thats useless to be on the car. I wont be going fibreglass panels or anything. Should be ok but i don't want to roll it. Its a shitter but its my shitter
  15. Well i was picking my sister up from work today (supercheap) and the manager comes out with a jvc head unit, Just been reduced to clear as it was old stock. $99 special. Would be better if i had of gotted staff discount on top of that but hey it was still cheap as.
  16. Pistons came out today. So its all happening. But thats as far as it will get for now. More important things to spend my money on...like my ke25
  17. Is it ROL-110's KE11. being the picture in his signature?
  18. I'm Getting roughly 200 miles (320km) to the tank but not 100% sure on size of tank. I think its about 35-40L with a 3k stock as a rock. But then when i drove it home from wollongong when i bought it i got back to bathurst on 1/2 a tank. Depends on the driving conditions Cheers
  19. I Like pink bits. Oh car looks good too. Done a good job
  20. Yep. i bought loads of zip lock bags a roll of masking tape and a permanent marker. Its all getting labled where it came from. My dads a mechanic so that helps. All the right tools for the job. Cheers for the input
  21. Well I'm in luck i think i left a bit of it that got between the car and the gearbox. Woo Hoo 10hp Yes much work to be done in the weight reduction side. It has less than what the pictures show though, It all came out before the race. I decided to do some more to the 4age tonight aswell. Took the big ends off, but it was dark by then and i was hungry so i came inside. Probably Tomorrow i will pull off the crank and pistons so I'm left with all the individual bits to start cleaning them off and finding whats f@$ked and whats not and just have a look at it all. (First time i have pulled an engine completely apart so its still a learning curve for me) Cheers
  22. Looks Good....But Damn thats low!!! As you said i think you cut too much aswell.
  23. On the same note as this, Are the TE27 struts any different to KE25 struts? Or is it the same struts With bigger brakes to go with the T series engine?
  24. Well i have had this AE71 Since january 2006 and not alot has happened with it. It was bought for me to use in motorkhana's and khanacross's. Bought it with a rooted diff and a complete auto ae71 with it for the use of its diff. So in the time i have had them i have...Changed diffs over, stripped the parts car for useful pieces and sent it off to rolla heaven, Stripped un needed interior bits out of it to make it uber lightweight, sound deadener removed. I have also made a sidepipe out of the spare stock exhaust pipe. Sounds beefy but has a nasty back off sound above 4,500RPM. Wants some back pressure. I acquired a 4age requiring a rebuild (cost me a few parts off my parts car) and have gotten as far as pulling the head and sump off it. Doesnt look the best inside but it should be ok once its all done. Still need lots of parts for it but am still deciding injection or carbs. So depending what i choose determines what other parts i need. I will deal with it when i get to it. So far the only event i have been in is a supersprint. Managed a 72.47 second run. Thats from the bottom of the dip in conrod straight to the start/ finish line on mt panorama. Not too bad considering i was in a stock ae71. First run i blew the radiator...Parts car to the rescue. From then on problem free. 155km/h is the fastest i got it before i had to brake for the chase. At that speed all the spiders, dust, leaves etc all came out of the air vents. After this event it was parked up at my mates place as he has a paddock i was going to use to drive in to get used to the car a bit. But since i never really had much time to go up there to drive it so the pumpkins took my car hostage...until yesterday wnen i started it and took it out to see how it was keeping. Paints f@$ked, Runs a little bit hot, needed some fuel down the carby to get it to run, Coughed and spluttered ALOT after a little run around the paddock. But I'm not overly worried. Before next race it will be getting a full export paint job (25% off (staff discount ftw) at supercrap helps) And topped off with a septone clear coat over the top. At the moment it has a black bonnet and boot with white body. might give it some racing stripes, white on the bonnet and boot, black over the roof. For something different. Ah thats all i can think of so ill post some pictures and that should do. Once i had done a little bit to it. In Event Part Car on way to heaven 4AGE Apart AE71 at Mates Place (Taken Over By Pumpkins) And Lastly its final resting place at this date with my mates other cars What Do You Guys think of my shitter? Cheers Jake
  25. The hay bails put around the esses at mt panoram for newtons playground so the guys doing the street luge didnt hit the walls and kill/ severly hurt themselves. My mate did a track day at wakefield in his datsun 1200 coupe race car...This resulted My parts car on the way to corolla heaven A couple of tractors racing mount panorama...don't mind the crack in my dash... The engine bay of my AE71 that has been sitting in my mates pumpkin patch...Wasnt a pumpkin patch when i parked it there Cheers
