Dished hotwires and flares. Like this?? if i didnt have to cut then i would put the flares on. My mate keeps telling me, that if i butcher my car or anything like that he will kill me...(he has a datsun 1200 coupe racecar so he can talk) just because its in half decent condition and its original. but yeah if they didnt look so god darn tuff with flares we would all be fine and not have to cut away at our beloved cars. yeah thats my story for the day

The top metal strip is rooted (rust) and I'm still in the process of checking how to pull the bottom metal part off. Bought 5 cans of degreaser today to do the engine bay. and then some wrinkle paint to do the rocker cover. hoping it looks good when I'm done Bought a Carby kit should make it a bit better, will buy a fuel pump soon also as i think its on the way out. Lots of things at the moment!! #1 - My car...Running like a dog, hope my afternoons efforts have it fixed!!! #2 - Work... 1 Shift this week, then not working till friday week! its f@$ked up (so no nothing is happening in any of my cars any time soon (besides painted bits with cheap paint) #3 - Job searching, More to the point not knowing what career path i want to follow and then trying to find one that I'm not going to hate #4 - Related to #2, No money to work on my cars, pay for fuel to keep them running, etc.. #5 - The next event that was meant to be held in the blcc has been cancelled, I was looking forward to that! (Esses descent at mount panorama) #6 - People that can't f@$kING DRIVE!!!!!!! Not the fact that they can't drive, just that they think that they can try to crash into my ke25, all because they are retarded! #7 - Not having anything to do around this town and not able to afford to do anything out of town or even finding something to do. (i need to get my ae71 back at my place) Thats about all for now. but I'm sure it will grow soon enough. Bathurst is becoming a shit hole

Yep on the list of stuff to do when i get money. And motivation. I might do the grill in black tomorrow as i still have some left. hoping it looks good when I'm done. Not happy with the engine at the moment, just little things giving me the shits. Changed the points and condensor because they were shagged, Changed the plugs and leads while i was there. Fixed the timing, played with the carby to get rid of the flat spot. And thats about the extent of it, but need to play with it a bit more, it starts to idle rough when it gets hot, may just need the idle bumped up a little. all in tomorrows work i spose. Cheers

Well i found out something completely awesome about my car the other day. i pushed the aerial down on my car just in case some one didnt come along and bend/snap it off. then when i did the transition between my headunits i had to go to town without music so i just thought, hell ill listen to the stock radio. i push the button to turn it on and the aerial popped up. holy shit its spring loaded!!! How cool is that.

Mines better because it is un-used!!! Id say the heater box in car leaked so they disconnected it...(Hmm up to -12 winters...I might plug it back in, Paper towels on standby)

just looking back at the photo of your radio (missing a knob) your heater panel switches are different to mine.

Sorry Not unless you give me your spare (uncracked) steering wheel. My steering wheel is cracked all over the place!!! Ill have a look on the ke20 at the wreckers next time i go up there see if it has one on the radio. probably be friday coz i got nothing better to do. Will let you know.

ah ok now i get it. i havent pulled my dash apart yet. Funny how the vents look like they bolt straight into the dash pad. i was really convinced that it did. Where do you get your dash's remade at? Might have to look at finding someone local to make me one up at some stage down the track. But for reference here is a picture i took anyway. Is this how yours was Before you pulled it apart? (Also a picture of my cracked dash)

well i just had a quick look at my car, it has 2 bolt holes like the new dash has. the ones that go through the vent into the dash. Gimme a few mins and ill get a picture for you.

Well I'm sure if it doesnt end up fitting in then you could put the dash into one of your other rolla's. I will be watching to see what you end up doing with your dash, because mine is F*%@ed up worse than yours is. Good luck with it all. i got no idea What the go is with the 2 holes.
