  7. done, accept your only allowed 1/3 throttle.. lol and a car load of people, and a full tank of gass lol
  8. i got it registered in may this year, and since then, so about 3-4 months so far, and for most of that time i was driving it, and only had 6 hours a week to work on it due to all my sport, uni and work commitments so I'm happy where it is at atm paint wont happen for a bit probably, more interested in getting the conversion happening after i get back from india. the wheels do look silly but they steer so much better than the other wheels i have for the front
  9. ill be getting a matchin pair for the back sooner or latter, just don't have the money and they wont sit so far outside the guards with shorted LCAs so wont look so bad and the bumper is weird, duno why, wil just redrll the mounts to suit oneday
  10. Thought i might aswell post up a thread for my rolla, Basicly I'm buliding this thing to be an allrounder car that i can drive everyday but i also want it to skid. anyways i bought it in march stock as a rock then i did some cheap suspension stuff cut commodore springs in the front and cut falcons in the back and got some cheap wheels for it. the paint on it was pretty crappy so on one sunday afternoon we started priming it, without realising how big the job actuly was haha, so then it came off the road for a bit to get a make over it handeled ok but needed some decent shocks so i upgraded the front properly The front now has Ae86 Struts and brakes Koni Yellow Shocks 7ish Kg springs Lock Spacers Sigma arms (gave lots of understeer so they are being replaced with ke55 ones most likley) Power Steering Arms 30mm RCAs Camber Tops and some hot wheels up front 14x8-12 SSR forumla Mesh  I was itching to drive her with the new setup so i rushed alot of things to get her on the road and take her on skidpan. I snapped one of the clutch cable mounts on my first run so a ghetto fix was required for her to see the rest of the night The clutch cable is tied to the radiator mount to keep tension, worked well The motor was getting a bit tired, blowing alot of smoke and a major oil leak , but she went well untill the next morning on the way to work. conrod through the block, I laughed for a while untill i realised i can't drive it untill i do more work to it :no2: And THis is how the car looks now alot more work to be done, but she is getting there cheers matt
  11. thanks mate, didnt even know what type of shop 2 take it 2 haha cheers matt
  12. yea the flanges are slighly different sizes, i thought that might be the case, where would i take it to get machined down so the same size? once i have that it should be good? its does run like bit like a dogg, thanks for the quick answer! what vacume lines are vital for the running of the car? cheers matt
  13. Well i put some extractors on my 4k over the weekend, and since puttin them on the car will not idle. so fit the extractors i one of the emmision items had to be removed. it was the one that runs from the intake manifold to a emission thing with a vacume hose and then also attached to the exhaust manifold. since the extractors don't have removed this and i blocked the hole in the intake manifold. now i put new intake, exhaust gaskets on and the carbie gasket is in good nic, and everything was cleaned with a wire wheel before being put back together. so is there any emision gear that could effect the idle? or is the a leak in the intake gasket? just want to know before i take the manifolds off again.... sorry for the long post cheers matt
  14. also try hitting it in, sometimes they need to move that little bit inwards and they bounce back out, shouldnt matter since the difff is shagged haha if not do what furryfrog said with a sledge hammer
