Got some work done on the sprinter this weekend, mainly paint stripped rear quarters and sussed out the rear end so we can plan how were going to go about mini tubing this thing. :)

Electric motor conversion would be great, but I'm going to stick with a traditional 4 banger. Its cheaper :wink:

FJ is way to big i want this thing to be as light as possible if i do it up. At the moment were still accesing the car and deciding what we want to do with the car. Id like to go Honda S2000 F20C engine with 6 speed or 3s beams engine but we all know how much both these engine are worth :wink: Time will tell what happens to project 17 :wink:

Hi guys, just thought id post up some pics of this old girl its a Ke17 sprinter in need of some love that has come our way. It is complete minus a few parts that ill be looking for, plans so far are to do a resto on the car and keep it all original but we all know how easily that can change :y: Did anyone say F20C :wink: This resto might take a while as there are a few cars in line before it so ill keep you guys updated as we have progress. ;)

Ive spoken to Adam and offerd to help fix the car even though its a lot of work it is possible to transplant a donor roof, but by the time ts all done adam might be able to find another car to transplant everything into. I my self would probably sell up and move on, its hard to find the want to start again when something like this happens but if you do decide to do it again were all here to help. :)

Looking good mate looks very phat in the rear with those slicks, i reckon drop the front a little more. Please turbo this thing at the very least, its screeming for a conversion of some sort. :)

Hi mate, to fit the Sr you need to get rid of the small hump on the firewall if you use the standard SR20 box you will need to modify the gearstick hole and cut a little out of the support bar in the floor were the seats bolt up. This is an area were the metal has to be reinforced so make sure you get a good fabricator to do this part. Custom mounts are a must , this is all based on geting the motor as far back and as low as possible in the engine bay. You might be able to get around a few things if you don't mount it as low. Refer to marty k's ke30 with sr in gallery as Kebin has already noted. Here are a few pics that should give you an idea of whats involved.
