radrollaz replied to SeptemberSquall's topic in Rollaclub Rides
Hi mate love the car looks very tuff, i was hopeing you might be able to help me by measureing your swaybar thickness as I'm wanting to know the difference beyween ke36 and ke30 sway bars as i want to go thicker mine is 19mm. Any assistance would be appriciated. :hmm: Thanks. -
Hi guys ,just wanting some info on the thickness of the ke36/38 or later wagon series swaybar compared to ke30 sedan. I'm looking to upgrade my standard 19mm ke30 swaybar and i know wagon swaybars are thicker, but how much thicker? if anyone can help that would be great or if you could measure yours if you have a ke36/38 wagon that would be even better. Ive tried looking around on the forum and can't find the info. :hmm: Any info appriciated :y:

Marty you've had more Ke70's /AE71's than i've had hot dinners, when are you going to settle down and be happy with one girl ? How do keep them all happy , you must be broke ! :y: I wish i could have a different one each day. :hmm:

No worries guys i just thought i'd put it out there, it should be a great day with close to a 1000 cars coveying into Wollongong and Albion park its a sight to see with all types of cars caterd for, its the biggest cruze of the year for sure. :hmm:
-
Yeah, i get it but its whats in your heart that counts and I'm as proud of an aussie as they come. The main thing is to remember our diggers on this day regardless of what we drive. :y:

Sounds good puzzle man, I'm happy to go along with that and cruze out towards the blue mountains and do the candy run thing. I'll Start a new thread under next RadRollaz cruze and set the date for the 15th of June and maybe we can get a list happening of people attending like usual. Are you then able to post up the details , ie were we are meeting and going etc aswell as maybe some directions, PM me to organise further if you like. Thanks :hmm: -

Thats so cool, nice pics guys good to see the corolla spirit alive and kicking across Australia. :( -
I'm using a Ke55 master and booster which i'd say you already have, my car stops real well and you have the same set up except ive got rear disks which i don't think make any difference in terms of bleeding or spongyness. Some times you have to bleed for ages to get all the air out especially with new bake set up. I rebuilt my booster and got a new master as i wanted it all to be new, but it wasn't cheap.I'm happy to help with any more info so if you need to call me or PM feel free to do so , as i think it could be something else rather than master cylinder size, etc. :)

Ive said it before i think people on rolla club should organise a cruze on the same date across Aus in their area and have a cruze on the same day. How cool would that be, all it takes is some one keen to put in a little work organising. :) Give it a go mate , next cruze is in june. Ill be posting up details very soon. :) -

I thought there would be more feed back than this, Come on guys ! :) -
I used standard bump stops, but i relocated them to the inner side of the chasis rail.I also ground them down to about half the size to allow me to lower the car and still have travel. :)
-
I take it you don't like big rims. I thought i'd try my mates rims on for a different look, it definatley takes the sleeper theme and kicks it out the window. I must admit i love big rims and if i do get a set of wheels eventually they will be 18's but i'll have to mini tub it in the rear and the most important part finding the right wheels to suit my car. :)

Yeah getting it engineered is no problem, but the hand brake is the only issue that bugs me as ill have to change it to an internal set up like the holdens and nissans, cause the four piston caliper has no hand brake set up at all . Id like to have a hydolic hand brake but its not legal according to the engineer so at the moment I'm taking my time getting all my brake bits together . With the hand brake cables i got the cables custom made with R31 skyline ends on them and corolla fronts, but make sure you measure them properly as mine are a little to long and even fully adjusted they don't grab as well as i'd like. :) Hope this helps
-
Hi mark, ill try and get some pics of the rear disk brakes up when i get my computer back, in a few days. :) If you need any info call me and ill run you through it.
-
I think the motor choice isnt to bad, as it would go well and they arne't that much heavier. Only problem is it isn't legal and that opens up all sorts of problems, with rego ,defects, and even in an accident if they see that you have a un engineerd 3.8 litre motor in their your rego, greenslip and the rest is void and that could cost ya heaps. Id go back to a smaller motor or sell up and start a new project, but hey thats up to you. Good luck with the project :D
-
Hey keep your hands off, thats my girl. Thats like saying you wanna ruit my misses. :D I know she's hard to resist i still to this day can't help admire my ke30, i know i sound corny but i think its the old skool flavour and the sleeper thing, inocent on the outside but naughty on the inside, just like the woman we all want. :hmm:
