i had this same problem except my car didnt start lol. i had a gasket missing from the top part of my carby, new gasket and it was running perfect again.

hey i am thinkin of puttin my sports steering wheel on the Ke70 when i get it. but the boss kit is on my 55 at the moment which will b sold when painted etc....... will this boss kit fit a Ke70??

hey mate, sorry i can't help u much with those parts in ur last pic. but i think the bracket on the right would be 2 hold the acc cable in place..... about that black plate, i THINK that it is a heat shield, but if it still fits with the weber on i would say jus leave it on... i have no idea about that tube or the bolt at bottom, my kit is fairly different. i have the same engine and carby but i havent been able to hook mine up yet as my car is getting resprayed so i can only limit my knowledge on this lol I'm sure some other person can help u out more then me... lol

hey i was just wondering if someone could post pictures of the 2 different Ke70 front ends. where these 2 front ends made in different years? cause there is a Ke70 here in my town 4 sale, its brown, wheel trim rings, 5 spd, 137,000 km's, overrated condition inside and out (not 1 lil dent, scratch, tear or blemish AT ALL!!) and this guy has it up for $1200

bloody nice lookin corolla there, i love the dash. but can i ask what it was built for? i thought drag racing first up but there doesnt look 2 b a brake upgrade nor a parachute lol. jus burnout comps?? or is it jus 2 cruise at shows? lol

hey mate, love what you have done with the car so far. it looks tops!! noticed you said u have the 32/36 jetted down for a 4k.... would you possibly be able to give me the jet sizes? as i have the same engine and carby but not the right jets and likin the red bull ignition coil, i have a V can on mine so it matches my bright green respray lol :dance: keep up the work cause its startin to really look good

hey i jus come across this and it rang a bell to me, i have a ke55 4k-c and am currently getting a k50 out of a ke70. what spline would be in my ke55? would this conversion be ok? havent fully got my head around gearboxes and clutches yet, currently studying them at tafe :dance:

My OMG is, me and a mate got in a bit of trouble 2day at school. one of the teachers here dragged us into his classroom and went off at us. in the long run, my mate jus burst out and told him to go fuk himself, i couldnt help but burst out laughing :eatlead: unfortunately his hilarious act cost us a note home to the parents. i always thought that if u had an air filter pokin out the top of the bonnet, it can't exceed a certain measurement. mainly because if u hit someone and they go over the bonnet, u would most likely cause them more damage with air filter.

lol sorry prob should have chucked in an underscore. but what about the crossmember? will the ke70 one bolt up ok underneath a 55 sedan?

lol sounds jus like how i got done hooning, but some bastards got my rego etc and dobbed me in, and luckily 4 me i had less harsh fines etc. good luck in court and with the sale

hey mate great find, looks unreal that valve i have on my 55 aswell, there is a tube that runs to the top of my extractors. if i set it to summer it closes the valve so heat from extractors wont go into carby, but in winter u open it and it lets heat from extractors in. I'm not sure why cause i thought cold air was best for engine performance....? but i could be wrong, thats jus what i rememba bein told lol

ok then, well i am currently lookin at the k50 toyota ae71 is selling but completely forgot bout askin what it came out of. (its a ke70 k50) even tho the shifter is further back, does that mean the gearbox is longer and i might need a different tail shaft? and also how much wider and/or longer would i need to make shifter hole in my 55 sedan? and last question, will the ke70 k50 CM mount bolt straight up underneath? if not, what do i replace it with? sorry bout all questions, jus don't wanna buy somethin that will cost me a couple of hundred, then find out i gotta spend more on it jus so it fits....

speaking of useless cops, i was comin home from work last night with a highway car infront (didnt have the guts to overtake even tho he was goin bit slow lol) saw a silver vy comin towards me with only 1 low beam working, i thought yeah this guy is a gonner. but nuh, cop just kept on driving and didnt even touch the brakes! spose it was cause there is no P plate lol

ok then, well i only want to put a k50 in because it means i don't have to cut a bigger hole etc etc. but k50 and k40 mounts are all same? all tho i have heard ke70 5 speeds have the shifter in the more comfortable and original position, is this true?

hey I'm jus wondering how much i would be looking at spending for a k50 gearbox. wats the most i should pay for one? i currently have a 4 speed manual. would i need anything else to complete the conversion?
