Hey all, i jus got a thermo fan from a mate which i am pretty sure came off a starion. i want to know how to hook it up properly so it cuts in when it needs to, would be good if anyone could help. and i am also looking at a weber 32/36 that is in the for sale section, if i got this and hooked it all up would there be much of a power difference?? do i have to get it re-jetted for a 1.3L (4K-C), are there any modifications i have to make for the throttle linkages etc etc... any help appreciated Palmy

well i bought a sports steering wheel and didnt have a horn button so i got one off a mate. high beam globe is fine, all brand new headlights, but they r not on car no havent checked relays for some wierd bloody reason all electrics r back to normal now!! WTF!!??

yeah well i have only the slightest knowledge on electrics and this is way outta my league. will most likely end up payin a sparky here in town. nuh cause i disconnected the horn after aswell and it was still doin the same shit. i had a wire hangin out the middle of the steerin wheel that i connected it with so i wasnt takin of stock wheel etc etc... thanks

i put a new horn button in the car today and decided to test all the lights etc. flip down the indicator - the hazards come on, the instrument cluster and air con lights flash with them. this happens left and right turn the hazards on - the instrument cluster and air con lights flash with them turn headlights on - when trying to indicate either way the indicator freezes when lit up and wont flash, this is on highs and lows when high beam is on - the blu light wont come on 2 let me kno the highs are on

after readin all these i know that mine don't really compare, but anyway i have only had 2 car accidents. i was drivin my dads 2002 hilux round the vineyard in the wet, was prob goin a bit to quick for a vineyard but i was young back then. went round a sharp corner of the block and hit a mud patch, car slid out and oversteered and went in about 2 rows. had scratches from front qaurter panels to rear door from wires and dent in left front qaurter panel and both front doors from posts and vines. sorry no pics i had a ba xt a yr back and was making the most of the wet weather at a local hoon favourite place with a few mates in their cars. neva been on a more slipperier surface in my life. as the tread filled with mud there was no controllin the car once i had in doin a donut, it slid out and the rear right side hit a mates holden vr and dented my qaurter panel and pulled the bottom part of my bumper right off. not a scratch on his car though!! sorry no pics also have a mate who had a vp wagon, he was doin bout 60 and was on his phone when a turn approached. he finally looked up, hit the skids and went straight off the road and hit a tree. he pushed the bonnet up, split the bumper up the middle, minced the grille, pushed the radiator back onto the engine and severely bent the support beam thing lol. he swapped his wreck and $1k for a vn calais with some dumbshit shearers and he got to keep his 18" mags and stereo. here is his wagon before the crash: (unfortunately no after) http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff30/ro...e3be6b28614.jpg

hmmm this sounds good to me, wont happen 4 a lil while tho as i only have a part time apprenticeship and still in yr 12, so i have very limited funds unfortunately.

oh ok then, so its mainly cause of cost and the wiring for the electric gearbox. jus thought i would ask as i might consider putting a V6 in my car one day

i canned the idea of doing an engine conversion a while ago due to lack of funds etc. but i am now just wondering why VN V6's are a popular option? why not an ecotec? is it cause of cost? size? electrics?

hey mate nice pick up. I'm in a similar situation with exhausts. I'm thinking extractors with either a 1.75" or 2" exhaust, a muffler and nice 3" tip for a cool note. but hey, thats jus me lol. good luck with ur plans :wink:

love the colour mate, looks unreal!! As allready said, a nice set of rims will top it off and it will look sweet. Is it possible 2 replace the stock front splitter and put on the one u got from gavatron, or does the stock one have to be on aswell? Did u paint the door jams?

hmmm thanks, well i made sure i had enamel primer but i thought i would jus chek up 2 make sure

hey as u may have noticed i have only patch primed my car, i was wondering if the primer will react with the paint in any way make the paint job come up patchy...? should i prime the whole car or is this ok? i am painting it with enamel paint. any help appreciated
