Would an audio store be able to modify the internals so that it works as an FM radio, but with all the original looks? Be awesome if they could . . . Cheers Ross

The best idea might be to ring up Regency themselves. They will generally be the best people to give you all the details you need so that if it is picked up on the day at least you know its all been done according to what they said. Taking into consideration if it is or not. I couldn't see why not though, as long as it was done all properly. From a guess, at worst they would want an electrician to certify it if they were going to be real . . . :P Maybe if you do get the info, let everyone else know. I think there may be a Regency thread in SA, but I am vague Cheers Ross

Pretty sure you have nothing to worry about Ashie :hmm:

Like SLO-030 said, check everything. So small things like bushings, brake lines, steering components, tread on tyres etc Maybe get a mechanic to check it over first if your not to sure, at least saves you the hassle of going through Regency only to be failed

Yeah AE71 crossmember bolts straight in as far as I am aware. Might be other choices (Sams engine mounts maybe?) Also not 100% with the radiator just guessing, but you might aswell be aware of all the costs before hand. Another place that might be able to help you wire up is BuddyParts, heard they've done a few before. Don't know how much it will cost you though

4AGE parts: - Engine crossmember - Gearbox crossmember - Pedal box (hyrdaulic setup) - Fuel system. Do a little research, either JDM tank or most people just go a surge tank setup I think - Radiator for different outings - Tailshaft?? (T50 to borgie diff (?)) Wiring . . theres a guy on AE86 that was offering his services. Cheers Fusion

You will most liekly find one easily in Brisbane, but if you need a heater core I think I got one here lying around doing not much. ;) Can easily post it up to you after all the times you've helped me out Cheers Fusion

Thought I would bump this up with a place I went to today. SA Car Clinic on Main North Road Would not reccomend going there. Car was a late without any notification and general customer service was poor, which seemed to be judged more from my age catergory than anything. Sader that they are RAA reccomended. Cheers Fusion

From what I can understand within the puzzle that is presented . . . 1) You have an automatic gearbox, and your thinking of trying to . . . upgrade or imporve it. There is no point in doing this, especially if you want to have "fun" in it. Your better off changing to a manual setup (pedal box, crossmember (?), slave cyclinder, master cyclinder and proper lines) 2) You want to upgrade the engine (4AC). There isn't extractors for a 4AC. Your cam can be reground by the right people (Tighe Cams?) You can get an electrical distributor setup from an AE82 Corolla, and an appropriate coil. Some people even suggest just to spend your money properly and go for a straight upgrade to a 4AGE engine. 3) In regards to your suspension, change shock absorbers and springs first (make sure you know what you want to do with the car ie Daily Drive, light track work etc) Also get a mechanic to check out your bushes see what needs replacing. 4) Try Red Spirits suggestions for grammar and spelling, you will generally more help as people can understand what you want / trying to ask Cheers Fusion

Lowering Ke30 4in!!!!!!! Vn Wagon Shocks
fusion replied to shauns ke30's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
About the main issue I remember having was that the RA40 spring doesn't working with the KE30 top hat. There is info about it somewhere if you do a search. I just used standard rotors as they were fine, pulled up real quick! But new bearings and pads are a good idea. Personally on a 14" rim I would be going a 185/60, I have run 195/60 and didn't like the feel. Not 100% on LCA's but if needed maybe XT130 Corona? Can't be 100% though -

Ok thats better :locked: RA40 brake upgrade works well in KE30's. Done it myself personally. Front king springs will drop it around 2" I am guessing? Or would you be cutting the springs to match the rear? Are you also changing over to a decent front shock absorber to match your new height? -

Your saying you want to drop it 4" low so you can get rid of body roll . . . Can I ask what else you have done to try and minimize body roll up to now? Surely you wouldn't be looking at lowering your Corolla 4"'s as your first option? :locked: Maybe try upgrading the swaybars first like you suggested you would, or even a front strut brace. -
Stupid people! :hmm: Driving home, and some lady decides to make an effort to jump infront of my car and stand in the middle of the lane. Than proceed to give me the rude finger, after I had to brake heavily and swerve to miss her. Than she claims shes the dealership owner of the Toyota and that she is going to report me to the police for being reckless. I hate people :(

Pretty much :) If you want me to take you out for a spin when I get the front springs sorted PM me :( I personally didn't do it all in one go, so theres no reason you have to either. Financially I found it easier doing it over time as the above can add up to a couple of grand easily. Cheers Fusion

Front: AE86 Struts or XT130 Corona 6KG springs roughly Short stroke might be a good idea, not 100%. Theres the cheapy for around $150 (KYB Excel G), AGX 4 way adjustables ($300?), TRD front inserts ($300?) Longer LCA's if you want. XT130. Get new bushes and balljoints at the same time Upgrade front swaybar if you want. I'm running a 24mm adjustable item New castor rod bushes RA40 tie rod ends if you do get longer LCA's. Some say you can run the stock one, but my mechanic didn't like it to much Strut brace Rear: Short Stroke options: Boge turbo ($150?), Bilistien ($300?), TRD Blue 8 way adjustable ($200 - $300) Springs around 4.5kg Rebush trailing arms First do springs and shocks together. Second rebush Third maybe swaybars Last more track (LCA's) and Camber (LCA's and can even add in camber tops) All just rough and quickly done, so if somethings wrong let me know :) Also another thing to make sure is a good set of tyres can go a long way to. Cheers Fusion

That . . . is . . . awesome :P

Use something like a plastic scrapper, or if your using a metal piece at least wrap some cloth rag around it. So that when you very slowly pull the strip from the car it shouldn't affect your paint. Patience is key :D
-
To remove them easily people seem to use a heat gun to soften the tar behind it. Should make it easier not to remove paint

Heres the link for you. Pretty sure they were short stroke to. KE20 Cheers Fusion

Pretty sure a guy in SA recently used Boge Shock Absorbers for an AE86 in the rear of his KE20 recently. Thats just from memory though Cheers Fusion
