  5. at this stage QLD still uses its own code so X by 3 for na ke55 sed is 930kg so even if you use national code 930 X 4 = 3720cc so how can they be legal. here,s a quiz for you name the car manufactures that still produce petrol engines with pushrods, i think it,s GM and lada,
  6. VN executive weighs 1310kg ke70 1000kg by the time you change everything over it will be very close, v6 is cast iron inc heads 2 valve per cyl, not my pick for a race car engine
  7. you,ve got a 1000kg corolla, gonna x the weight of the motor gearbox and diff by 2.5 approx so your going to end up with a ke 70 that weighs 1200kg. Sounds a lot easier to gut a vr commodore = same weight, cost nothing, when you crash it just go get another one, save a good corolla
  8. For weights they use the heaviest sedan weight auto, in the code of practice a ke20 sed is 778kg ke25 is 756kg, depends what state as to what you X by, talk to your engineer to get it right first time
  9. why not a 3rz 2.7L much better motor than 22R, and they make big hp
  10. can go both ways they have 2 seals 1 for oil 1 for petrol so you can fill your sump up with fuel and you can fill the fuel system up with oil. i've seen people reco a motor because of a dodgy fuel pump
  11. Blowby can come from 3 places, head gasket blowing into oil return, valve guide seals, rings, even if you fix everything perfect it will still blow oil out so work on your catch tank first, make sure the rocker cover is baffled properly and that it goes to the top of your tank, there MUST be a return to the sump above oil level, this comes from the lowest point of the tank, it may fix your problems. and try spell check
  12. I'm 90% through the approved person scheme to issue blue plates and you have to own the current code of practice but qld transport have told me not to purchase it as it's changing to national in january' someone's got it wrong
  13. KE70 van has a full chassis???????????? QLD rules are supposed to be changing to national code of practice in january, this states that for under 1000kg's x 2.75 i weighed a ke70 wagon once and it 960kg if it helps

  15. hi mate, in the last 3 days you were going to put in a 3RZ hilux motor, 4k with blow through turbo, honda motor and now an SR20det for a start the cost, SR20front cut $3000 hilux diff with brakes $1500 front brakes $500 suspension $800 min compliancing $500 computor and tuning $1500 fuel system $300 plus fuel tank mods + drop tank $200 exhaust $500 intercooler radiator $500 tailshaft $350 + add $2000 for misc, i could be over the top on some bits but you'll find it's pretty close. thats $8650 + labour, i'd take a guess and say this is your first conversion so why not do the suspension first, go buy a wrecked liteace( $2000 ) with a 7k efi use the litace diff gearbox and computor. great little car for $3500 which will sell when you want to get rid of it, then plan a really good mod for the next one

  17. or maybe the 2.7l alloy v6 with 2 tubos and vitara box
  18. of course it wont work i was just trying for a little humour, maybe we could turn the gearbox around ha
  19. if you flip the diff the pinion bearings will not be running in oil, you could run pump and squirters but the the pinion and housing will be to close to the floor, why not reverse the rotation of the motor only need new billet reverse direction cams, rev direc oil pump, rev rotate starter, seens alot of trouble and very expensive
  20. We use late hilux diffs (stronger)delivered ready to bolt in, core supplied, any length, various bolt paterns, discs or drums, spools, lsds, painted, various ratios, if you look at my ke38 thread you'll see one fitted, these are made to fit all small cars if you have something we aren,t jigged up for just supply us with an original diff and we'll make to suit
  21. hey mate i can supply blue plate, rwc rego and hilux diff, all you have to do is put it together in a proffesional manner, i'm in brissy if it helps
  22. What was legal and what is legal now are 2 seperate things, there,s a lot of 13bt engineered cars that were done years ago but you,ve got no hope now, as i said check with your state but thems the rules
  23. ke30 weighs 890kg X 2.5 for turbo = 2225cc x3 for non turbo 2670cc i think thats national now but check your state
  24. nope it's a 07 rav 4 and i wouldn't want to be within 100m when it happened
