  1. Mick, you are doing an amazing job there mate. Can't wait to see the finished product. I'm secretly hoping you get it done for Al Palmers show, I'm that excited to see it hahaha. I think your car is going to be the new benchmark in old school Corolla's. Top stuff....
  2. Thanks to everyone who turned up. There was a total of 16 cars there and quite a few people who came to look. It was decided that we would make it a quarterly event so look out for the next one in March. Thanks to Mick from RadRollaz, Toymods and Greg Beckett for helping out.
  3. It's on this Friday night guys. Looking forward to seeing some old school Rolla's there.....Remember burnouts and dangerous driving will not be tolerated.
  4. Awesome Mick! Looking forward to seeing you and everyone else on Friday. Thanks mate.
  5. Looks like it's coming along nice Mick! Engine bay looks nice and smooth, can't wait to see colour on it!
  6. Hi guys, for those of you on facebook I have created an events page for this https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1552008096809.46933.1733363811&type=3#!/events/459614867415793/
  7. Ok guys I've bit the bullet and set a date. Friday the 7th December, meet and greet at Harry's Cafe Liverpool 7.30pm. All pre 85 Toyotas welcome. Hope to see you there.
  8. Was just thinking of a friday or saturday night meet up. This time of year can be pretty hectic for everyone with family stuff, and heaps of shows so I was thinking just a simple meet up at night. There hasn't been a Corolla get together for a while. It wouldn't matter what style your rolla is, daily driver, project car, jdm, show car whatever.
  9. It's all good Mick....maybe you could turn up for a look. Doesn't appear to be much interest anyway. Maybe I should just set a date and see if anyone turns up.
  10. Hey guys was just wondering if anyone was keen for a meet up in Western Sydney area? I'm from Penrith but keen on meeting at maybe Liverpool Harry"s Cafe? Any other ideas? Maybe open up to all old school Toyota's..... When + Where = Friday the 7th December, meet and greet at Harry's Cafe Liverpool 7.30pm.
  11. Apparently Marty has sold his car, and a few of the RadRollaz boys are rebuilding their cars. Mine was the orange KE20 with purple trim 4age......yeah i noticed heaps of cars in the the carpark that were there for most of the day, they should of entered.
  12. Well ToyotaFest over for another year. This year there was a new venue which was very good, and we finally got some sunshine! There were plenty of AE86's to drool over, also a healthy showing of FWD Rolla's. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of old school Rolla's this year.....as usual there was heaps of celicas, a good selection of mr2's and some rare pieces on show too. I was stoked to win four trophies! With next year being the tenth anniversary of the show hopefully it will be bigger again.
  13. Will definitely be there guys. Can't wait for it. Time to start cleaning the car......
  14. Time Attack was an awesome day out, despite the freezing temperatures and driving wind! We were very well represented in the show and shine. That is such a cool article on Japanesenostalgiccar.com there Kev. Its pretty cool seeing our cars on a foreign website!! I think it was one of the biggest gatherings of Corolla's I've seen for a long time....Was rapt for Radrollaz taking out Best Club and Marty and I getting two trophies each. Marty getting Top Judged Car and Top Undercarriage and myself winning Top Interior and Best Build Quality! My brother was honoured to be parked with us also in his Commodore. He is a big Rolla freak himself even placing a Radrollaz sticker on his Commodore lol.....All in all a top day and can't wait for next year!
  15. Hey Kev I have already entered the show and shine, am I still able to park with you guys?
  16. I'm there mate!
  17. Yeah was a great day mate. Was good to meet you John. Your car is awesome. I was stoked to pick up a couple of trophies in the show and shine.
  18. Wow what a mad day! Awesome turnout people... was good to meet some new faces. Thanks to the organisers for putting it on. Glad i didn't go home the way we came. Got to Appin and i think fuel pump shit itself. Definitely fuel related problem anyway. Managed to limp home back to penrith. Bring on the next one!
  19. Well, Al Palmers Show has been run for another year. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side with intermittent showers but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm. Numbers were down with about 22 cars turning up. There were a few Mr2's, classic celica's, classic crowns, immaculate mk2 corona, and a few restored various models. Corolla wise there was Marty and Mick from radrollaz, two late models from Sydney rolla club, two original ke20's, a ke15 Sprinter and myself. There were a few Toyota's outside that were nice too. And Kebin it was good to meet you and put a face to the name. Marty and I won a handful of awards between us and Mick and FLYNSX from Sydney rolla club got an award each. I took a few pics on my phone and will put up soon.
  20. Hey guys, awesome cruise yesterday.Sorry i didn't go all the way to the final destination.Got to keep the father in law happy lol...He is a V8 man and actually enjoyed the cruise yesterday, so we did well haha.It would of been good to see a few more rolla's but never mind maybe next year. If anyone took photo's could they put them up. I didn't get a chance to take any. Thanks for the invite!
  21. Hey guys I will be attending this cruise. Hopefully the weather is good for us!
  22. Wow what can i say Top Car of Show and Top Interior! I am so happy my dream has come true! Congrats to Marty for his trophies, that is one schmick car. Was great to meet a lot of you guys and thanks to everyone for their compliments, we had a great day.
  23. This is coming along very nice mate. Such a neat clean car just how I like them! Keep up the great work.
  24. Very true what you have said KICKN5K regarding magazines and colour combo's. By the way my wheels are "Intro's" so maybe I should contact Street Machine? Lol.....Took the car for a quick drive this afternoon and noticed a small amount of coolant leaking out of a heater hose in the cabin. One of the fittings was slightly loose so i nipped it up and hopefully that was all it was.
  25. Thanks guys! Yeah its a mad feeling Kickn5k. The other four cyl mags told me it wasn't there style lol.... and yeah I tried to do something different with the colours. I mean i could of done tan or grey trim and it would of looked great but it would of just blended in with all the other orange cars. I tried to also build it with a street rod style rather than the usual JDM or sex-spec just to be different. Its funny that when I go to "small car" shows everyone says nice car but should of put a turbo... when I go to hot rod/street machine shows the older generation absolutely love it. Maybe if I knew it was going to take so long to build I would of put a turboed motor in it. When I bought the 4age to do the conversion it was 2002 and I was just planning a simple rebuild, then it kinda got outta hand. My mate was building a KE20 with an Sr20 and it was causing him major grief. I didn't want the grief haha I just wanted a very clean street car that the wife could drive also. Thanks again for all the compliments and hopefully will get to meet some of you guys at a show or cruise soon. I plan on attending the World Time Attack show, Hot Car Titles, Red's Big day Out, of course ToyotaFest and All Japan Day. So come say G'Day.
