So i opened up my bonnet to fill up on oil and guess whats in my engine bay... f u c k you gremlin.... I don't know if its because i haven't driven it for a while (have only started it up every week). But it won't idle and it struggles to get any power, feels like it hasn't been tuned forever! It has been tuned around 3 months ago, i did 2 months of solid driving and it was fine, this month i have only turned it over once a week. Could this undo the tuning? The car shakes from 0-1500 revs but when i get it to 2000 rpm it loves it and is feeling smooth. Any suggestions as i am not greatly mechanically minded, i just want this gremlin goooonnnneeeee!

Tossing up between buying a weber or rebuilding the current carby as it is running rough and chewing through petrol. Any suggestions as to where webers for a 3t are sold or where to rebuild? Costs etc?? Thank you.

Thanks guys! I am after a bonnet mechanism that is attached to the firewall and bonnet. It allows the bonnet to slide up (piece of metal swivels) slides back down and the bonnet then stays up. If you can get through that description i'd love some help as i broke mine... 100km/h + downhill expressway + bonnet flicking up = broken things.... and poo-pants.
