I totally agree but maybe roads not so good where baidin2006 is.
-
wow baidin2006, your car looks really great. I never would have believed that a large boot spoiler could look good on a kesev but I think you have done an excellent job. Would love to see some interior photo's and some better pictures of your wheels. Great work and welcome to the forum!

That one you saw down at West beach benzo coulda been this one below RLA-069 currently on CarSales for $5.5k. The one getting around on stockies you saw sounds like the one I saw a few weeks back on Anzac Hwy. Looked good too.

That thing is P.I.M.P. I like.... great pick up fella!

Fender Mirrors ROCK !!!! I have a feeling this car is gonna be cool. Good work mate.

 I wasn't in mine. Wish I had have been now though. Thank god. I thought I must have grown up in the most boring family ever. :(

WTF??? Double WTF??? I must live in a bubble! :( Anyway I almost stacked my car on the way home from the city tonight. Saw a KE11 headed into city on Anzac Hwy between Greenhill Rd. and Sout Tce. at approx 6:20pm. Had a venetian and that's all I noticed. So rare to see these on the road now that my first thought was that someone had stolen my car. I didn't notice if it had stockies and caps or not but it looked well cool. Oh and before anyone gets smart and explains to me what a hovercraft is..... don't spend the energy....... however I have never seen one just driving up to Bedford Park let alone been in one or driven one myself.

Hehe.... nah he had braced it from memory........ I know I checked it cos I had an old VG Val with the roof cut off so as soon as I see that sort of thing now I check to see how they have done it or indeed if. I can't remember where he had the bracing but I don't remember thinking "oh my god" either :P

Reckon that comment was an add on from when he saw the Landcruiser. I must admit that it was a sight to behold. Sounded awesome too. I had a chat to the guy that owned it. I asked why he had cut the back off his Landcruiser. He said "just wanted too". He didn't even weld up the back doors. You could just open them and jump in. Funny stuff.

This is off the AJD website: "Please note that, in order to control both the quality and quantity of entrants, All Japan Day is an invitation-only event, and acceptance of this application is solely at the organiser’s discretion. If your application is not accepted, you will be notified. Entrants will need to ensure that they read and agree to all event conditions as outlined on a separate document that will either be mailed to you or made available on this website, prior to attending the event." Since this is an application based show then apply, you have nothing to lose. I had the Stout in this show last year and it was a great day. Well organised and well presented show with a great concept and everyone was very friendly. No AutoSalon style cars to be seen.

At 1:15pm today I was at the corner of Goodwood Rd waiting to turn right onto Cross Rd towards the bottom of the freeway. First I saw an awesome KE10/11 in an army green with a roof rack. Not in great condition, but begging to become a rat rod themed early Rolla. About 10 seconds later I see Mitch's white 20 come flying round the corner onto Goodwood Rd. Then at about 5:15 tonight I saw the same willow green KE20 I saw a couple weeks ago on Rundle Street. It turned onto the bottom of the freeway heading out of the city.... maybe to Melbourne? Looks awesome, slammed, whitewalls, venetian and visor.
-
Saw another Willow Green KE20 on Rundle Street this arvo, maybe 5pm-ish or just before. Low, hubcaps, visor and no venetian.
-
Jeezuz.... I'm jealous! Over the first few rounds in that vid you could see your improvement. Must have done a lot of practice in shopping centre car parks :bash:
-
Have spotted this KE20 heaps of times but decided today to snap a pic. Sorry about the poor quality but I didn't bother to get too close to it. Also spotted the AE71 below a few weeks ago on Frome Street. Looked pretty tough.
-
discs is easy and no cutting up of the car required cos you can just use the struts from a 20 and they bolt right in as far as I know but a little modification may be needed for steering to be all straightened up and I understand you will need a sway bar to stiffen things up a little too. I'm sure I will quickly be corrected if I'm wrong. As for painting it white with some ghosted flames :bash:

Smeetsy I feel sick man!!!! I friggin love that car. So sorry to hear mate. I love how everyone is so quick lookin for parts. Shows how hard stuff is to get. Mate honestly if it gets written off and you buy it back then the best thing for you to do financially is to get a couple mates round and strip it down and list everything on eBay. then you will get the best price for stuff and there is no arguing from people about who gets what and he promised me this or that. Also you get the money that parts are worth instead of feeling like you are ripping people off or whatever. Then.......... hopefully you get enough cash together to pick yourself up another neato rolla. Just my thoughts mate..... it's time consuming, but worth it if you can be bothered.

jeez it still has the original plates. I had those style plates on my Valiant and the police made me change them. They are so cool cos the letters and numbers fall off sometimes and you have to stick them back on. Looks like that has happened on the front with the middle "6" in fact. Anyhow looks like a neat starting point for a project. My vote on colour choice...... Lime Green :lmao:
-
Haha... I'm the worst person to give an unbiased answer on this. I been doing whitewalls and hubbies on all my cars for many many years and I still love that look. Thats the only reason I haven't put the caps on my 11 yet cos I wanted it to look a little diff to my usual style.
-
Yep thats a KE10 alright. Maybe a late one due to the grille, or an early one with the late 10 or 11 grille installed. Either way it's a gem and I'm jealous. I'd love that owner's manual.

looks like joshyouwah might have some competition? Unless it was him of course. :no2:

To those of you who have never entered a car show before, I highly recommend this show to be your first. The Old Skool N New Age Show has been around for a few years now and is one of the best car shows of the year and keeps getting better. I have entered a couple times but was unable this year due to work commitments and may well be the same next year. If you are unsure if your car is worthy of being in a show then again I say this is the show for you. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with a great mixture of top show cars and daily runners, little cars, big cars, lowriders, motorbikes, car clubs, jap cars, euro cars, yank tanks, hot rods, late model modifieds etc etc etc. There's something for everyone. For $20 it's a great day out and you get a plaque for your collection. The organisers of this show do a great job. Get on it people.
-
Reckon I have seen that around and confused it with your car. Should get them to join the forum if you see the car again.
-
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Looks amazing mate. Can't wait to see it all back together.

 That is one very very tidy looking KE70 lui. Welcome to rollaclub!

Spotted Smeetsy's 20 last night. I only saw it real quick but my lovely lady got a good enough look to notice that it had white mags and no whitewalls now? Please confirm Smeetsy? Have you ditched the stockie rims and whitewall look? Car still looking sweet mate.
