  1. That'd be great if you get a chance. The more knowledge I can gain from you guys the better. Legs? Seriously? Damn you! :P
  2. thanks heaps for that Felix. I will hunt down one of these bad boys.
  3. There is an actual window winder removal tool???? Oh ffs!!! I assume this is available at motor parts outlets.... motormate etc?
  4. You sir..... are an absolute champion !!!! Thanks heaps for taking the time to write that all up. I am sure I will have more questions for you, but first I need to digest all that. Thanks again bro. :bash:
  5. Over the years I have removed many door cards from many different cars with varying success. Is there a fail-safe way of doing this without causing any damage or pulling the plastic lugs through the cardboard? I recently learnt the trick of using a piece of material to remove the clip holding window winders on. Is there a similar trick to removing door cards?
  6. Okay guys, we are 3 months out from summer. It's time to get back into some free weights again. What I want is some tips from guys that know what they are doing rather than spare room dumbbell cowboys. I don't want to join a gym because firstly it is time consuming by the time you get home, change, go to the gym blah blah blah. Plus I feel ridiculous at a gym. Plus it costs lots of money that could otherwise be spent on Beam.... I mean, my Rolla. :bash: So, at my disposal I have: - Dumbbells with plenty of different weights to attach - A Straight Bar - A not so straight bar (dunno what they are called but they have the little triangle sections about shoulder width apart. Looks like this ___/\____/\___ ) - Bench press - Chin-up bar Now I am a pretty busy guy so time is at a premium, but I am willing to work hard in limited time sessions. Half hour a day perhaps. What I want is just to tone up the top half..... not worried about the bottom half..... surely a bit of running will take care of that so not interested in weights for legs etc. Just want to focus on shoulders, arms, chest and stomach I guess. So what are the best things to be doing? Is it best to do heavier weights with less reps to gain greater results? I'm not looking for stamina which is what you get from less weights and more reps. I'm just looking for faster visible results. What actual exercises are best for what I am looking for? What about protein drinks? Are these actually helpful? I have tried Musashi Bulk, but can't say I really put in the effort with the weights so didn't really see a benefit. Just to clarify...... I'm not trying to perform a miracle by getting bigger by not doing anything.... am willing to work hard, but have time constraints so I want the best return on the amount of time I am able to invest. I am certainly no expert on any of this so I'd like some advice from anyone that knows what they are talking about. As I mentioned...... summer is only 3 months away. :)
  7. My scariest experience ever: Back several years ago when I was so much younger and more stupid than I am today......... I owned an Mi16 Peugeot back in the day which was fairly quick. I had a little drag race with a Liberty from the lights on South Rd and Chandler's Hill Rd back toward the city. We flew down towards the top of South Rd Hill at 3am and it had just started to rain very lightly. He was about two car lengths in front of me by the time we hit the top of the twisties. Anyone that knows anything about Peugeots and especially the Mi16 would know they are very very sure of themselves on winding roads. So I got this big smile on my face because I knew I could push harder through the corners than him. Well......... on the 2nd bend down I had a brake lock at 160km/h. On one side there is rock cliff face and the other has a big fall to your death if you punch through the armco. I was the luckiest person in the world to just keep spinning and manage somehow not to hit anything. I was just a passenger. There was no-one else on the road and the Liberty kept on going. He would have just seen headlights-taillights-headlights-taillights-headlights in his rear view mirror. So the car came to rest after I had been nothing more than a passenger just wrenching the wheel around in total hope. I couldn't believe I hadn't hit anything. I drove to the bottom of the hill shaking at like 20km/h. I parked on the side at the bottom and got out and chucked up on the footpath, sat there in the rain for a half hour before I had the guts to get in the car and drive it home. I had flat spotted the tyres pretty bad too on inspection the next day. I made a mate come get me to take me up to have a look at the place it happened the next day as I was still not willing to drive the car. There was incredible skid marks that made seemingly no sense at all cos the car had been spinning. Wanted to take a photo of them but in daylight that is a busy spot and not the sort of place you can just pull over and get out and take a photo of the road. Moral of the story:- - Don't drag race - Don't drive over the speed limit - Take even more care than usual in the rain - Don't assume you are the best driver in the world - Don't assume that your car is not going to fail on you in some way or other Simply...... Don't do stupid sh!t on public roads kids! :bash:

Bahahahaha........... at least you have one nickyboy......... some of us don't have a 20 at all :bash: Saw a sweet lookin' Panda AE86 outside UniSA tonight at about 5:40pm. I want that too !!!!
  10. Great Info.... thanks heaps dfunkt :bash:
  11. Good to see it's all coming together mate. This car is a bargain classic cruiser and super cool to boot. Whitewall tyres - Are these brand new tyres you are talking about that have a whitewall as part of the manufacture or is this someone adding a whitewall to your existing tyre? If it is a whitewall tyre from factory, then I'd like to know the brand etc of it as this is a GREAT price. If you are paying someone $410 to add walls to your current tyres then you are getting shafted. It's only $100 to do that here in Adelaide.
  12. Working my arse off most likely. Series one or not, I still love 'em! Stouts are out there, I have one :)
  13. The later side indicator lenses are UGLY !!! I have them on the 11 and am on the search for some early slimline ones. I recommend trying to find the early ones too. They are so much nicer. The ones off eBay are poor quality as Felix has mentioned, but finding genuine ones is pretty tough and has eluded me for 18months so far.
  14. Okay well I am totally confused and yep it seems I am wrong about the 15/17 grille. The only pics I have of cars with that grille are as follows, the first two being 10's and the last an 11. I am still certain the correct grille for your car should be the bottom one in your photo of the 3 grilles.
  15. Yeh the middle one was (I believe) on the very very last of the 10's and definately all through the 11's. It's the same as the one shown on the front of my car in my avatar pic. Definately an 11 grille. Top one is defo 15/17. Ugly grille, but awesome badge. My tip, try and fit the green badge to the front of the 10 (bottom in pic) grille. HUBCAPS - Keep an eye on eBay. Some popped up recently and were $20 for the lot. I was gonna get them as spares but forgot about them. I'm sure some will pop up without too much trouble. If I come across any I shall return the favour. ;)
  16. I'd say you have a 10 grille and an 11 grille and a 15/17 grille then. The 15/17 grilles are awesome cos they have a green badge in the middle, but they don't look as aesthetically pleasing as far as the chrome slats are concerned. My favourite grille is the 10 grille just like the one you sent me. Thanks again for that..... you RULE !!!! :)
  17. Hehe.... as much as I appreciate the pun..... I reckon it doesn't need lowering even. Not low is the new low. Looks awesome as is.
  18. Sweet lookin 20 all right. It needs nothing but whitewalls as you mention. Actually it could use a venetion also. Otherwise it's perfect. I Wannit! Then I could be part of the 20 crew. :)

Spotted KeRoLLin turning off Churchill Rd onto Regency Rd early this afternoon in his KE10. You need to fix your driver's side brake light bro. :)
  21. OHNO.... I have local competition if one does come up. :P
  22. Great pickup. I love those UFO Crowns. They look like they had an accident right on the production line. Massively overstyled front is total porn in my opinion. If only I could find one of them for $500 in Adelaide.
  23. nah they won't re-consider cos the issue is that they only allow 1750 entries........ they have filled that quota, so even though they were supposed to accept entries up until today, they cut it off early due to being full up. BANDITS !!!!!
