  1. Yeh no joke that photo is awesome. I didn't post it cos it wasn't my pic, but I'm glad you posted it. I'm 2nd last in that shot. Almost got my whole car in :P
  2. Cheers mate. Kinda made me look a bit pov-spec among those boys though with their fancy shiney hubcaps. :P No probs. Still brings a big smile to my face looking at the pics. Yeh well I was gonna make mine different by putting fender mirrors on until I saw a pic of that one a few months ago that already has them. Yeh that would have been unreal. Yep, I think another get together may be in order. Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Sorry, this only happens every second year. At least you have plenty of lead time
  3. Holy crap! Well that car is truly incredible. I had a good look at it at AJD early this year. Amazing!
  4. Hehe..... funny thing is I have a overrated set of Crown hubbies the same as on the front car, but I haven't put them on because all the rest of the guys roll with hubbies. I was also going to do fender mirrors and I have a NOS JAF badge for my grille too, but I don't want mine to look exactly the same as anyone elses so I will leave it all off. Maybe I should airbrush a big lion on my bonnet. :) Yeh the beige one is Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
  5. Bahahaha...... I must admit that if it hadn't been on the main street of Birdwood with hundreds of people around I may have been tempted to strip naked and rub myself all over Troy's 20. Is that weird? :) It's a hell of a machine.
  6. In my sig pic from front to back is........ Matt's (he had his partner with him along with their dog and Frank rode with them), then second one back I can't remember his name, third one is mine, 4th I can't remember his name and beige one is Stefan's (I think that's his name anyway). Frank didn't have one there at all. Actually he doesn't have one at the moment (except the Vert), but I'm sure more will magically come to him.
  7. Are you serious? Tiara? For sale? In Adelaide? Damn you benzo. You've called it first. I'll take number two ticket thanks. :) Belongs to a fella called Matt. Has been off the road for a fair while but used to see it in the city heaps.

Spotted a bunch of cool Rolla's today out and about due to Bay to Birdwood. Awesome white 2 door KE70 looking thing among them. Very Cool! Too many others to remember or list. Few tasty snaps below and a heap more in the Bay to Birdwood thread in the SA section. Firstly is the 5 of us together at Birdwood..... wish kE20ME had been there too to make it 6, so I chucked in a snap I got of him at the beginning. Then is RA28GT's freakin sexy 20 and then a bit of Smeetsy action as I was heading home. Love the latest aquisition mate!
  9. Yeh probably. Either way there was cheering and cheering at 5 KE1x's in a row is a good thing. :) Okay I'll smash a few photo's up that I took today. There are a bunch of photo's of the five of us 10/11's together here: What's better than a KE1x?..... 5 of 'em !!! I really didn't take many photo's because I didn't go in to the finish to have a look and I only spent a short time at the start. Here's what I saw though in no particular order:
  10. In Adelaide today.... actually yesterday now (Sunday), we had the Bay to Birdwood Classic. This is basically a massive car cruise for classic cars with entries limited to 1750 (which always fill) and then hundreds of other cars that join in but didn't get around to entering or were too late to enter and missed out (like me). It starts at West Beach and goes all the way to the Birdwood Motor Museum. Along the way people line the roads to watch the cars go past. Today sadly it rained so there were less willing watchers than there usually would be, but still there were a lot of people out for it. Anyhow by chance a few of the local KE1x owners came together and this was the result:
  11. Jeez mate that is sensational! Curb feelers would rock. 100% grandpa FTW!!!!!
  12. Yeh that happened today. Was incredible. Will get some pics up later. Don't reckon I have ever had a bigger smile on my face than I did today cruising 5 KE10/11's in a row up to Birdwood. People were going nuts for them. Yelling stuff out. As we rolled into Birdwood there was heaps of bikie's out the front of the pub. Not usually the genre of people to give respect to a four cylinder Japanese classic, however they were cheering us as well. Awesome!
  13. Looks great. Wheels look HEAPS better.
  14. Classic! This whole story sounds like what I have done myself so many times over the years. I too am "mechanically retarded". I prefer to be driving a cool car rather than working on it. It's just way more fun that way. :) I would also have bought that Hachi if I had seen it for sale. Take your time, spend the money on it that is required to do it properly and then you will love it. Just cos you have an 86 doesn't mean you have to drift it or race it either. Just cruise it and enjoy it. I like the 'what you want it to look like' pic, but hell I like the pics of what it looks like now too. Just clean it up, give the bonnet a lick of black paint for now, get it roadworthy and drive around with a big smile on your head. :)
  15. Not too sure. Planning on jumping in a mates car with him. Depends on weather. It shouldn't be allowed to rain on Bay to Birdwood day.
  16. The only thing the sticker allows you to do is get on the oval at West Beach where it starts from and then get into the Birdwood Museum grounds at the other end to park on the paddocks with 1749 other cars. If you just want to cruise up in the middle of the entered cars you can join anywhere from Tapley's Hill Road onwards along the route. Not like anyone checks to see if you have a sticker on your car and kicks you off the public road if you don't. Hundreds of non-entered cars do it every year. Just annoyed I missed entering because it is awesome to have your car at the start and finish.
  17. Shite :jamie: Thats real sad mate. So sorry to see those pics. Hope you are okay. Get that neck/back checked out.

Bahahaha......... sorry man I didn't intend to cause you any grief. I was just so happy to finally see the Wagz up close and personal. Saw a couple rolla's on the Gazzanats cruise tonight...... couple of Esev's and then saw a 35/55 coupe rollin' Hindley. Don't remember much about it though cos I'd had a few Beams to warm me up by then. Wasn't driving of course.
  19. That right there makes me happy. Someone that doesn't want to be a sheep. Well done mate! Best of luck for roadworthy related headaches.

hehe.... Karllos and SoulSearcher your avatar pics look awesome one under the other. Good stuff! Oh and in keeping with the thread I spotted a Corolla yesterday. I'm sure I would have.
  21. It's about time someone bought Sim's car. If that was in Adelaide still I would have had trouble keeping my money. Frankie specials have that certain appeal you just can't get enough of. KyleM you've done yourself a favour. You will love that car. Just tidy anything up that needs it and keep it as is. That thing is Sweeeeeeeet! PS: For a first car man..... haha.... holy crap........ you better be good to that car or I'm coming to Melbourne to look for you
  22. Do I own my cars: Not telling you Do I have a wife: Not telling you Do I have kids: Not telling you Do I have a house: Not telling you Do I have an off-shore bank account: Not telling you Do I grow my own vegetables to save money: Who cares Lets hear from more people about what car they would theoretically like to have as a family truckster. Thats way more interesting.
  23. Bahahahaha........ Ever since the one belonging to my across-the-road neighbour rolled out his drive, across the road and through my front fence, I simply can't look straight at them.
