Yeah still a little bit of work to do. Still have to strip, sand, fill and prime 4 doors and my new boot also. The colour is a very light mushroom/sandstone/beige metallic colour. Its usually seen on Nissan Xtrails or Mazda 626's.

Thanks for that, I'll look into it. Can i by that powder foam from a Auto paint store? Yeah i did treat the rust before the bog. I used K&H Rust converter, followed the directions by the letter. Looks weird because all the rust and metal went jet back. I just hope it will work. Should be ok.

Test fitted the new panel, just mucken around really. can't belive the gap. Just show's how light the car is i guess. :P Thanks Moe, I thought water might have been getting in the petrol cap so i gapped it up with bog, lol. The other thought is the bumper sits fairly close to the panel, water and dirt gets kicked up from the rear tires and builds up and rusted it out.

How about hydrochloric acid? That would certainly get rid of the tobacco smell. Might get rid of a few other things like roof lining, seats., carpet ect.. :P

Yeah, thats just the first coat of undercoat. Going to paint another 2 coats of undercoat. That one is just a filler one. Next will be just the normal undercoat then last one will be coloured undercoat for Metallic later. Thats about the biggest rust hole in the car. I have seen some pretty bad rust on some cars on rollaclub and i'm just glad i don't have anything like them. I treated it and bogged it up. The bumper will go over it so i wont see it. The "Golf Balls" you talk of, Is that where its orange peel spray? The rough paint surface is because the spray mist landed on the paint while it was wet. A mate from work gave me that undercoat. Its a few years old so it was really thick. I had to turn the pressure up to 90psi on the compressor and open the air on the gun almost full because it was not spraying properly. I used about 20% Debeer 2k thinners. It was still too thick but yeah. I know what a guide coat is but not too sure how it works. I thought you spray on one colour, which i have done, then spray on another undercoat then sand off the second undercoat until you just see the first undercoat colour about to come through. Is that right? I'm all new to this car painting thing and yesterday was the first time i ever used 2 pack. :P

Yeah, pulling out seats and carpet should get rid of most of the smell. Maybe some warm soapy water on the ceiling lining (if vinyl roof internal) and give it a wash. They can smell from ciggys too aye.

Got me some pics over the last few days. Going slow with progress but progress none the less :( Bonnet Red pannel before paint 2k Undercoat Rust!! Up Close and personal Wet panels to see any slight dents, all good :D don't know if you can see it, Macro focus on phone is not too good. The spray is a bit rough, I guess thats what you get when it's stinking hot and you don't use a spray booth :P Corolla is looking at the first sprayed panel, she thinks it all looks good and gave me the go a head to do the rest of her doors, lol.

Just relax :y: Its not all stress, just like a driving lesson. Remember to check your mirrors before and after you indicate and i was told by my driving instructor to stay 5km/h under the speed limit on your test so you don't accidentally go over. They only want to see how you drive, if you show them you can drive safely then they are happy. Good luck! :yak:

Sorry to hear about your rolla, hope you and your rolla are ok. I had a EA falcon a few years back, got rear ended and 3 places said its a write off. Last place which was dodgy as (didn't know till later) said he'll fix it with a jigging thingo. Just an idea, if you know someone, it wont be a write off :yak:
