Yeah, i wasn't sure about the mirrors. My drivers one was always broken, it worked but just couldnt control it from inside the car. I was trying to take to take off the glass but every way I tried it would seem to almost break. I saw little screws in there but couldnt get them properly cos the glass was in the way. That sucks with your dash, Did you use that 50:1 pink 2 pac builders bog stuff? that stuff is very strong and breaks paint contact on surfaces all the time. When I went to the wreckers yesterday there was about 100 corolla's there, Three were AE82 seca's. One was a S2 seca but had no rear spoiler and had a dent in the panel :( The remaining two were S1 seca's but only one was in good condition with what i could see looks like the rear demister was working (fingers crossed)

I was going to but couldnt find one like that. As i was driving home i thought its probebly better i got this one because it keeps the old style of the Sohc look. Sorta like a sleeper.

Rolla Bus Ae82 W/rebuilt 4agze (yet To Be Started)!
Johno replied to RollaBus_4agze's topic in Rollaclub Rides
If you get it airbrushed underneath you will have to lay mirrors on the showroom floor and have lights pointing under there too. Seen it done with a gold Toyota sorer. He got stainless steel pipes everywhere as well as gold plated items. 2 more questions Mr Moe, lol Did your dash bubble up after you put the 2pac pearl on and did you tape up the mirrors or take out the glass when you painted them? -
:( That is so funny, i never looked at it that way but its so true. Nice one mate :y:

Now that i want to see! I was talking to a guy in qld about his limo that we hired and i think he said it cost him $230,000 for engineering and all the parts. That was including the 4x LCD screens, subs, interior, bar fridge, cabinet making and everything else. Seated 10 people in the back. 230k Seems a little far fetched for a 2005 Ford Fairlane but thats what he said..

Spotted this in Pick a part on fussle rd Montrose today. don't know if its the common grill or the rare one. It caught my eye and thought it may be of some use. 4Th car from front desk. blue Ke30 wagon. Its got chrome around the headlights too. I don't know much about ke30's but yeah...

Bought some parts for the rolla this morning. My Stupid Silly Gf took my ropes out last night. I didnt know cos i always leave them in the car cos i'm always on building sites. SO anyway i bought a rear tailgate and it wouldnt fit in the boot of my daily. Put it on the roof.. no ropes. Suck it back in the boot and closed the lid halfway and dove to the nearest service station to buy rope. As i was driving to the servo the Corolla boot is slowly slipping out so i jump on the brakes to get it back in the car. Got the rope and tied the ford boot down on the leaf springs. Pics.. Is it a ford or a corolla..?? :( A few more goodies. Old crappy 13" wheels so i can spray the car and a new left hand guard.

Thanks for the offer, I reckon it does look really good but there is heaps of work to do and it looks a little bit too hard. I don't want to worry about changing all that stuff just yet. Maybe later down the track but right now just want to get it back on the road. Cheers anyway :( I'm thinking of just painting my original dash some wacky colours and see how it looks.

I thought people would have learned from "Corie's Party" in Narre warren. Your just asking for trouble with open house party's over the internet.

The Completely Unofficial Drunk Thread
Johno replied to trav_555's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
Well the weekend is here, wonder how many drunk posts will get this W/e. I always forget to post here when I'm drunk and i don't have a computer near by. I could post using my mobile but try looking at a phone screen with tiny little writing when your drunk. It might look even worse posting on a phone.. lol I'll try and remember. -
Ha ha, i'm going to use that if i ever pick one up.

Yeah i know what you meant, 5 finger discount, opps i meant to say 5 dollar discount. My bad :P Good to hear the skyline nuts worked for you.
-
That dash looks sweet, I know how you like to sand things totally flat to make em look shiny and it really shows with your dash, keep up the good work mate. Any more progress? Did you sort out the idle problems?
-
Ha ha, now I know who you are Ben. It was good to meet you, pitty you left early on the cruse last year. I had my bloody daily on that cruise (blue EL wagon in the back). I like your wheels, All mirror chrome.. FTW! And Paul, was that you in the yellow panel van with the 4age that kept blowing fuel lines?
-

Rolla Bus Ae82 W/rebuilt 4agze (yet To Be Started)!
Johno replied to RollaBus_4agze's topic in Rollaclub Rides
I was starting to loose interest in my rolla but i really want to get it on the road with a screaming 4age and nice paint work. At the moment its a pain in the ass and boring doing the brake lines and prep washing the car but I'm just looking at the end product and keep doing it. Couple of Q's, Does the coupe have a 351 in it and how did you paint your mirrors?. I wanted to take out the mirror(glass piece) but i was afraid i might break the plastic inside. -
Here are the pics. A garden spider decided to make my corolla his new home When I took this pic i thought to myself (HOLY CRAP!! I gotta put all this back in the car and know where it all goes back..) Hope i still got all the bolts.. :P More Engine stuff.. Mostly Dash things.. Interior Plastics and gadgets Mosty an assortment of gutter tracks, windscreen surrounds and molds. A few other things in there like antenna, heater control switch and other things i don't want to know about right now Bumpers and fenders, gotta straiten the front bumper out. I accidentally left it resting on something and the heat warped it a bit.. :P All the Doors and boot which i still have to strip, sand, fill and prime So there you have it, theres my corolla parts. Might shout a BBQ and beers to anyone who wants to help put her back together sometime down the track.

Well last year (mid Oct) i was thinking it might be ready for the gor cruise 24th Jan 09. But that will defiantly not happen now. I'm thinking maybe June 09 now. It always drags out to longer than you always guess, you should know all about that with your ke10 :P
-
Well its sorta organized, 4ac engine stuff is in one section, seats in another, 4age parts in another etc.. Just gotta get it all to one corner. If i get it all to one corner i will be dripping oil onto seats, damage plastics, loosing screws etc.. It looks like a mess but i know where everything is.

I wouldn't be resting the block of wood on the quarter panels with the engine attached, you could dent it very easy. Sounds good in theory though. I'm sure if you used your mussels you and another person could get it out. I think it weighs about 280kgs with gearbox, 220kg without. I just hired a crane for the day when i lifted my 4ac out. Cost me $54 for 24 hours and they fold up and fit in a station wagon.

Well, its official.. My mum has formally asked me.. after weeks of nagging to.. --DRUM ROLL PLEASE-- Clean up my car parts in the Greenhouse! :y: I Don't know where to start :y: I took some pics of the greenhouse, do you want to see them? Be warned there is a lot of spare parts.. It kinda freaked me out cos I'm the one who has to put it all back in the car later.
