  2. Gain weight and go to gym Finish rolla project Spend more time with my girl friend, most of my time is on the rolla And quit smoking... maybe Oh and stop spending all my money on the corolla and save New years resolutions never work for me but see what happens i guess.
  3. It's coming along very nicely. F***ing pricks who smashed into you, damm that sucks! I don't mind the look of the cannon muffler on your car. But look pox as when people put them on shit box ford lasers or Bariana's and saying their car is race spec or fully sick.
  4. Ok, here's a story. A mate from work went out 4wd'n about 3 weeks ago. He just spent $35,000 on a brand spanking new Nissan Navara Turbo diesel. Took it out for his first river crossing in his new 4x4. Water was about 1 foot deep then bang! Fell down into a deep spot in the river, nose dived straight down and all that was showing was the tray. Him and his girlfriend climbed out the windows and stood on the tray helpless till his mate pulled him out with his Jeep. That was after he took pics. Engine stalled as soon as the motor hit the water and wouldn't start for about 1 hour later. Everything works now apart from the ABS and Air Bag lights stay lit on the dash. Sorry, no pics but saw the pics at work, Funny as, who crosses a unknown river without making sure its not 1.5m deep?? Just thought i would share it with you.
  5. Here's a New Video I made today.. It basicly shows everything i have done to the rolla since i bought it. Hope you like... :) http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=bDyRpgNaPfI
  6. Thanks Moe. They are very good prices, you wernt kidding, lol! Looks shit hot too. The kit that i bought has been a right pain in the ass. And the fake anodised ends don't fit on when the hose clamps are on.
  7. Love the custom boot and what an awesome snatch strap! If the pure power of that fully sick sub shake the amp off and screws come out you can be sure the strap will keep it all together. lol.
  8. I'm trying, Once the painting is done i can start putting the car back together with all my new parts. Just need about $2500 which i don't have. I thought about putting all the paint and material's on the credit card then paying for labor with savings. Might just pay for everything on the card and buy some new 17" wheels, tint the car and run to the hills..
  9. Ha ha, smartass! I got a bit more done, Tried my last attempt at getting the rust off. Hopefully this time it does not come back. Bought a tiny little Spray gun for $16 from one of those cheap tool centers. Thought i'd give it a shot and it works heaps good! Takes about 60mls of paint in its tiny glass jar and works on the air compressor. Got the engine bay touched up and rear right quarter panel redone. The green paint is 50/50 acrylic etch primer with GP thinners. Hopefully it wont come back now. If it does.... I give up and i'll pay someone to fix it.
  10. Really? I didnt read through the 16 pages. My bad, carry on.. (Note to self, read more before posting.)
  11. I bought my girlfriend a pioneer CD player with remote, Mp3 and i pod in and a new set of pioneer 6" two way speakers. Installed it in her car and said thats your Christmas present. I told her i would give her a stereo for xmas and thats what i have done. She thinks i haven't finished yet, she's like "where's the front speakers and sub?" When are you going to put the rest of the stuff in? "you haven't finished giving me my xmas present yet" I told her she has to buy the sub box, sub, power cable, splits and amp.
  12. I went to Clark rubber about 5 years ago and paid $90 just for boot rubber on my Rt corona sedan. Good shop just sinfully expensive with automotive related stuff.
  13. Nice car, good to see another old school rona on the forums, keep us posted with your progress. Cheers, Johno ;)
  14. It's alive! He he! sounds tough, how do you make it sound like that? is it the extractors?
  15. Nice paddock basher, i was going to use mine as one but then i found out it was fwd. I seen a ke70 right hand head light for 5 beers, I bargend him to 3 beers for ya. This is just proof once again that rollas can't be killed.. Love the custom paintjob too.
  16. The head looks mighty clean too, did you paint that? Nice work with the chrome cam center peice, I see the chromeness now. ;)
  17. Its coming along very nicely. I would go longer ramps, ever tried getting a lowered car on a short ramp? Also what about foot stands? Lets just say you drive your car on the ramp, wouldnt the trailer tip? 10/10 job mate, keep it up! ;)
  18. engine looks good trev, you beat me to it.. i have been painting mine too. When i did the steel braid today i thought i need a hot colour so i was thinking of red cam covers.
  19. Damm! Thats exactly what i was going to do with mine. Black center, red cam covers, silver intake manifold/exhaust manifold. I already have the chrome cam bolts. Might do black writing to be different.. ;)
  20. You don't know who could look in there.. Nah, just under the fuel rail i couldnt get to so hence the straw.
  21. What a pain in the ass today proved! Painted the intake manifold, wanted to take it off but too much stuff to remove. Taped it up with newspaper and masking tape instead but that proved just as difficult ;) Got it painted in the end. Painted the thermostat housing and bought a new gasket because the old one had a crack in the rubber seals. When i bought the new thermo it didn't come with the surround rubber so i opened up the 4ac one but the rubber was worse than the 4age one. The gasket they gave me does not fit the housing either so couldn't put that back together. The braided hose was driving me nuts! Try threading rubber hose through delicate steel knitted hose. It kept kinking and then to trim it i had to use my good scissors, made them go blunt and the bits of braid that were trimmed were falling into the opening of the pipes. Then to top it off i don't even really like the look of it. It might grow in me but I'll see how it goes. I couldn't get right inside the intake manifold so i used the tip of WD40 can to squirt paint where i couldn't reach.
  22. How's the project coming up? Never seen one of these rolla's before ;)
  23. I heard a few bad story's about steel braided hose covers. it conducts a lot of heat and can melt your rubber hose's. Guess I'll find out the hard way.
  24. Thanks mate, I write colour all the time ad my stupid computer tells me its color
  25. Bought a few more goodies this morning New thermostat, High temp grease, Braided hose kit (needed something to make the engine look as good as the gearbox. It looks like crap next to the new painted box) and some gasket glue
