  1. hey mate, what sort of motorsport do you wanna get into??? you will need to print and fill out some forms of the internet. after CAMS send you out your license you will need to join a CAMS affiliated club. after all this, you can then race. as for the price, you need to tell me what you wanna do. generally they aren't that expensive for the amount of fun you can have. i have my level 2S Licence. Cheers Jarrod.
  2. The plates that i would not be a exact copy of the Tayell conversion, i would change it. i am getting my diff done to see if it actually works.
  3. Ok, guys. I'm getting the Tayell conversion done to my diff. I will measure the plates and draw them. I will measure the springs and get them made. I will make a few copy's, and sell them. If anyone is seriously interested, send me a message, I'm not sure how much i will sell them for, but it will be cheaper than a Tayell conversion.
  4. yea, its designed to be pressurized. every 1 psi it is pressurized the boiling point of the water is increased 4 degrees C if you are worried about your head gasket, start your engine while it is cold and look in your radiator, if you see bubbles. your have a problem. also look at your oil . if it looks like milk, you have a problem. usually it is a head gasket, but sometimes it can be a cracked head of block hope this helps you.
  5. don't risk it. you would only do this as a last resort run all the correct oils in the right places or it will cause big problems it would be better to drive a car only half full of oil, instead of driving it with the wrong oil.
  6. that exhaust is way to big for your car, unless you are constantly at 8000 rpm+. it would be costing you power and torque. you would only need 2 inch max for your application i work at a exhaust place
  7. you can nearly always run an engine without a fan the only time you need a fan is when you are stopped in traffic if your thermostat and water pump is good. you wont have a problem till you stop moving.
  8. nothing will fit, 2 door doors are alot longer so that means rear trims are shorter (2 door) if you are looking for stuff like this u pull it is the place for this. Cheers jarrod.
  9. yea, just take the trim off. start at the bottom corner and pull.
  10. I've been told that rare spares is the place to go, I'm also looking for seals for the front and back for my KE35 because mine are incredibly hard and cracked.
  11. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has set up a roll cage in there KE35's I'm interested in putting in a cage in my 35. Ideas anyone?? I want to see some examples Cheers Jarrod.
  12. KE35 2 door Good Shape, design, pillar less, can take flogging, cheap to run and fix Bad Engine to small, brakes to small, thin panels.
  13. I've got a mate a regency, they are not to fussy as long as you: go to regency on your own free will (not defected) your brakes and suspension have been upgraded to suit its not rough (looks neat, ect) it wont burn (all wires, fuel lines, ect are far enough from hot parts) and your gearbox/diff will be able to handle it. if you are interested i can get you all the info you need. send me a message for more info cheers Jarrod.
  14. all the toyota engines ive seen seem hard to kill they can take a flogging, (if maintained) GO TOYOTA..
  15. yea, same, i want some. stick em on the rally car
  16. the only major difference is on a 5 speed ya get overdrive most of the other ratios will be the same its not really worth it.
  17. yea, i got some helper spring on the back of my car. if does stiffen it up. it sounds like we want the same thing, I'm setting up a KE35 rally car. i will get you a picture soon, they basically are an extra leaf spring on the back
  18. the only other problem i can think of is, what is stopping the plates from moving slightly into the spider gears?? thats the last thing you want doing 100 km/hr in a rally... heres my project rally car people
  19. I got a rolla diff. its 4.3 ratio. (U282) I'm interested in this project. my ke35 diff is dismantled on my bench heres a really rough picture with the basic dimensions (I'm waiting for inventor to come so i can put it on there.) I can design the plates and get the springs made, (I go to a tech college studying mechanical engineering) we are gonna make this happen.
  20. Na, I wouldn't grind em, Ive seen this done, as others have said, its not worth it. Change rims, calipers or possibly washer out your rims.
  21. hey mate, i as just wondering if you had any rough dimensions on the plates/springs in this set up??
