  1. How much duration and lift can I run on my 4AGE without it "flicking a shim" Cheers Jarrod.
  2. I see one every day...
  3. ive done more research Fuel System Lift pump and serge tank i will use a JE Camira EFI fuel pump (because its externally mounted) probably 4AE injectors (for now) custom fuel rail Air System webber manifold (for twin carbs) anyone got one they want to sell?? custom everything else Electrical= haltech F10x ive thought of some problems: since its got individual intake runners, there will be a problem with getting enough vac for distributor and brake booster. (unless i put in a equaliser between runners) what size runners?? too big is bad, too small is bad. need a sutiable pressure regualtor/damper need a fuel return line to tank If anyone can think of anymore possible problems, Please post them Cheers Jarrod P.S heres a pic of the car i will be putting the gear on...
  4. It's me again. I got the Tayell diff. It went really well. It has lasted so far. I am thinking that a welded diff is better for me. As my car doesn't do many Km on the road. I have now changed my diff. I got a KE38 wagon diff and brakes in my car now. The new diff is bigger, and it has got bigger brakes. Cheers Jarrod.
  5. I will be setting up a qaud throttle (EFI) on my 3k soon. EFI will always be better than carby. I will be getting a webber manifold, then making custom throttles, fuel rail, ect. (good thing i got access to CNC) As for the electronics i will be getting a F10X haltech. I will keep you posted Cheers Jarrod
  6. there is a good change of internal damage.. Is the oil milky?? cheers, jarrod
  7. It will, but it will need to be jetted down. I had one on my car, and found that stock carb (that has been drilled) is better in most ways.
  8. they fit, i just sold a Series 3 TRX. those rims fit on my KE35, don't know about KE75 though
  9. Get a little bit of fuel and tip it down the carb, (a tiny splash) If it splutters or runs for a second you know its a fuel related problem. (check fuel pump, filters and lines) Cheers Jarrod.
  10. Racing or Watching?? Come and see me mate, I will be racing there in my Red KE35. Cheers, Jarrod
  11. Hello all, There will be a Khanacross at Lanac Park on Sunday the 28th Lanac Park is located near Mt Compass (South of Adelaide) Admission is free If you are interested in racing send me a PM Cheers Jarrod.
  12. i wasn't 100% sure about the XT130 struts, but i have decided to just put in some Monroe GT Gas Struts for the moment. I am running out of time before the next race, but i will strongly consider putting these in at a later stage. Thanks to everyone for your help. feel free to PM me at any stage. Cheers Jarrod.
  13. the last pic of the last reply was the first priming coat. (same colour made it hard) heres more sorry About crap photos, they were taken on a mobile phone
  14. I'm back with more pics. practice is important, as others have said. i had a practice on some scrap sheet metal. if you prime your car before you put the top coat on, this is a good time to practice. the setup of the gun is very important, this is where most people go wrong. (you will get runs or orange peel if you are not careful) heres more pics. it looks really rough after ya sand it
  15. Its khanacross I'm not sure where you live, but I'm sure there are guys that run this sort of motorsport all over the place. I'm from SA, i race at Lanac Park (based near Mt Compass) If your in the Adelaide area the SDCC (Southern Districts Car Club) organize the events it is a really cheap and fun. it is also a way to get the OST (Observed Section Trial) out of the way so you can get a rally licence. heres more pics
  16. There are lots of people asking about these, but it seems there is mixed answers. Will XT130 Brakes fit in 13" rims?? Will XT130 Struts Bolt up at each end?? Can you still bolt up KE35 brakes and hub, if they wont fit in 13" rims?? Are the Steering Connections Different?? If so how are they different? and how can you get around this? Heres a pic of my car Cheers Jarrod.
  17. I did my car, it was cheap. (Crap Paint, because it will get damaged when i race)\ i did it for under 200 bucks, it took lots of time to prep it, you can't rush this section. it looks good
  18. "I'm putting XT130 struts into my KE35 and i have found the following 1st. the bolt spacing on the steering knuckle is out by 2mm but the ke30 and XT130 shares the same ball joint so u can get the steering knuckle from the XT130(or RA40) and bolt that to the KE30 ball joint. I have heard people drilling them out so they fit but i wouldnt recommend that. 2nd. the spring seat does not suit the KE30 spring, you can use the XT130 springs, but they will be high (perhaps cut them - not recommended by me, or buy a set of "lows") or weld the KE30 spring seat onto the XT130 struts (i have done this) depending what spring you use will determine what upper spring hat you use and you can use the KE30 strut tops on either spring setup just so u know KE30 and RA40 and XT130 and RT132 lower control arms are all the same as well as the ball joints its just the steering knuckle that the strut bolts onto thats different on the KE30 (possibly so you don't bolt corolla brakes onto celicas or coronas)" Regards Dan :y: Hey Mate, I am interested in setting this XT130 front suspension up in my car, although i don't want to change my rims. Will the XT130 Brakes fit into a 13'' rim? How big are the brake rotors?? How big are the brakes overall?? Does this mod change the spacing of the hub at all?? (like will it bring the wheels outside of guards?) Cheers, Heres a pic of my car (setting it up for rally)
  19. what 5 speed would be best for KE35 2 door?? would i have to get speedo re adjusted?? are the ratios the same
  20. the l20 are better than l18 its all in the flywheel l20 more responsive than l18 both are all good engines ive had em both in this buggy i like l20 more
  21. i am not convinced with the astron. they are a good engine. they are gutless though there are better engines out there maybe 4a maybe 5k?? thats just my opinion
  22. try not to use "Levers" as they can damage parts. Use "Pullers" a 100mm 2 or 3 jaw puller will do the job. i just did them all on my car.
  23. I'm sorta in the same boat. age:16 did a runner from cops, 1300 in fines, 2 years loss of licence (Didnt even have one to start with) and i am an apprentice bugga, now I'm buildin a rally car to keep myself busy...
  24. ok you will need to get either PC (Provisional circuit) Or PCC (Provisional Clubman Circuit) id go for the PC it will cost $395 (If you are over 18) for more info go to www.camsmanual.com.au i will be able to give you more info later. but i got to go. Cheers Jarrod
  25. Mate, you have a problem. You do not want to get defected. Because if you don't have all the required plates your car is absolutely useless. the defect station will pick up on it. Toyota will not make more. there is no reason for anyone to take the plates off, unless its stolen.
