Engineer In Sydney
This is a bit off topic as it not corolla related. Just wondering if there is anyone that knows an engineer within Sydney that does certificates for 4x4 modifications? As I'm considering doing something with my 4runner, I knew an engineer who did my corolla but lost his details.

4Age Forged Build
Thanks guys. For a comp I was thinking of getting a microtech off eBay if not a haltech Sprint 500. Budget not really sure I've got time so I don't mind spending the money for things, just hoping to get the car looking nice first, then I can purchase parts.

Want to see what you guys know, going to try find a place in penrith, probably check out race solutions later this week to see. But yeh if anyone can help just an estimate, was going to lower the compression and get turbo fitted but engine would last long at all

Heavy Accelerator (4Age)
Well so far ive straightened it out, put it in without any twists and its softer then before. See how long it'l be good for, haven't had time to look for a cable cause of work but il try find one this arvo. Should be roughly 700mm long
-
Heavy Accelerator (4Age)
Yeh I might see bike shop close to home this arvo if it doesn't decide to rain, mate at work said they can do it for about 30 bucks maybe 50 with a new cable, il stick with the standard cable.
-
Heavy Accelerator (4Age)
Ok so il take it out, cut of some oil it and put here back in. I don't want to try and take it off the throttle so I've taken cable off at the accelerator pedal. Do you reckon solder is strong enough, as I was thinking of turning a flange at work with a through hole and counterbore one end with wire hanging through and putting a clump of solder in the counterbore and heating them together.
-
Heavy Accelerator (4Age)
Will oil do the trick? Cause it still has the original cable, which is too long. You have any pics dave, I think I know what your on about but a pic would help if you have one.

Heavy Accelerator (4Age)
Ok il try one of those, cheers

Heavy Accelerator (4Age)
Ok took the rolla out for a spin since getting myself a daily. Haven't done much at all except a bit of sanding. Enough chat, I was just wondering as to what I can do to get it soft like my 4wd, cable loops around so anyone know what other cable would do, otherwise il just measure the distance and see what I can put on. The car is a ke55

Aftermarket Ecu Help
Ok so haltech is the way to go then, most tuners will know how to tune them yeh? And asked a few people bout adaptronic, and they didn't really know much about it. So maybe il look out for a sprint500 then, il read up more on it, fairly easy to understand I guess. Plus I don't need to rush getting it in, when I get confused, which I will.
-
Aftermarket Ecu Help
thinking of going with the adaptronic, they are close by to me and I can go chat with them, bout the same price as a sprint 500
-
Aftermarket Ecu Help
adaptronic looks good for the price. but what model haltech would be good mitch? also may sound stupid but I'm new to this, will i need to get new sensors when i upgrade the ecu (of the same brand), or can i use the ones already on
-
Aftermarket Ecu Help

Tdo4L Turbo Adaptor
yeh thats true mate, but welding mild steel to stainless hmmm http://bmcrace.com/t-b-adapter-1/ this is what my mate had in mind. But like i said before the bastards don't ship to aus. Man this is confusing me plus 2 hole in the turbo are blind...argh doing my head in, cause ive got to finish up tech stuff so i can't just make one at work.
-
Tdo4L Turbo Adaptor
Ok so i've got a manifold for my 4age in my KE55, but the flange suited is t3, i have tdo4l turbo but i don't know what type of flange it is? BMC racing has adapters for them 60 but they don't have post to AUS. And I'm not keen on paying over 100 for a machine shop to make one. If someone knows where i can get one, would be great

Engine Bay Vibrations Help Please! (Ke55 4Age)
yeh got the tailshaft aligned like i said in post, the engine does rock, but only at idle which is not constant, and i don't think it has even with a tune. the throttle is pretty crap too, takes longer to go back to idle then my old mans cruiser, gets sticky sometimes, is it possible to swap the cable. and sorry for the massive late reply
