I'm going to come to this in the smick 70. :P -
All i have to say is i like. :P

Why would you go to the bother of finding them. I reckon that the plastic wons look way better. As crome does not suit the age of the car. Perhaps if it was a ke30 or so.
-
Yeah custom would be good. But if people want of the shelf Wildcat are the way to go. There great :D

Well fella's quick update My ke70 exhaust manifold finally died :D . So I quick drive up to my next door nieghbours, for a little power improving. The next day my car was fitted with Wildcat Extractors 4-1, 2inch pipe, 2 resonotors and a Walker/lukey exhaust with 3.5 inch dumpy tip. I had to put two resonotors in otherwise the cops would have been on me like a rash. :y: Sounds like a little rocket i would post pics but my damm cammera has died to so of to the shops. Just i quick update in the k motor extractor market. Companys are starting to stop making extractors for the good ol k motor there just isnt enough demand. Popular to current belief you can't get pacemakers, genie extractors any more for K motors. You will only get these seconhand of ebay or classifieds etc: What you can get Wildcat a company owned and is a branch of "genie" "The best" Hurricane but extremly expensive and not as good as Wildcat Hitech a good brand Goanna performance exhaust make them and is an Australian company Cheap crappy stuff that isnt worth your money. These are the brands that my Nextdoor Neighbour gets and trusts. He does not sell products which are cheap and nasty. If you are in the Tamworth Area and your exhaust dies or you want an upgrade Then call the Muffler Man on 0267623939 He is a great bloke and loves working on old school cars.

Here is a fuel pump from a starlet with a 4kc so therefore is the some for 4kc in a corolla. Fuel Pump
-
Yep it just requires a bit of messing around with pipes etc: nothing you can't do with a few beers some mechanical knowledge and half a day. I will try and get a pic of my mates ke30 with a Vl fuel pump he did it and he has not looked back.
-
To what i know is that a 5k is almost the same to a 4k. The only major difference being the larger capacity and a few little things. So therefore i would say that the fuel pump is the same for a 4k. Although from what i have been told some later japanese models differ. As for Fuel pumps anything after market would do the job better than a stock one. Bosh fuel pumps are commonly used. These can handle 300 bhp or more these retail anywhere form $120 or more. Or if you wont cheaper alternative a Vl fuel pump does the trick $30 from a wrecker. If you wont more tech info on a 5k talk to Xany he has rebuilt one and knows it backwards. Hope this helps. Nick

grrrrrr i always type that wrong when i type fast MY BAD. Thanks for picking that out.

Now that is a steal. How come i can't find any ke10's and you can. It is just not fair. Good luck with your new car, it seems it has found a good home.
-
Nice car i like very tuff. Keep up the good work. :P
-
It is a direct bolt in. A 7ke is a different matter though. A 5k should bolt shraight in with no problem at all. The hardest part is probally doing your fuel system. Because if you are putting in a 5k you would most likely be updating your fuel system, ie twin side draughts or 32/36 downdraught weber. Why you might ask because asian carbs are shit and while you are doing an engine conversion you might as well upgrade your carbie/fuel system or you could do efi or something if you have the time and the money. If you are serious about doing a the conversion good luck with it. Ps. Do you have a 5k.
-
Nice clean ke30. The wheels look tuff pity though. If you have the finance go with the turbo 5k if not for just stick a side draught weber or two on. It will give it a beefy sound.
-
Het teddy i would like to agree with rollaboy that you are a legend and i like what you are doing with the car gauges. Keep the good work going. :P
-
My little ke70 is called HERBIE why because he is white, quick and can do amazing things just like the little VW from the movies it is a bit corny but i like it.
-
Well it took me for ever to find one for my ke70. Personally i think it makes my car look better i don't no why but i just think it does. Here is some triva Ke70's to my understanding did come with left hand door, passenger mirrors 81-83 old stlye had them. But the newer front did not only CSX,AE71,Spirts had them. Hence why they are hard to find.

Hey slapper thats mad and it is pretty detailed, what can i say i like. :P

Well time for a little update. While i was preping my boot for my trick car audio install, i had noticed some rust nothing major. Well rust scares me and i don't like my car with rust. My rolla is my pride and joy and i take the upmost care for it. Thus nothing but the best for my car. I have been meaning to get there car cleaned up professionally fo some time and this was the factor promoting it to first place.Te current status of the car would be about 97% rust free the only amount of rust any where is in the boot, and it is no bigger than a 50 cent piece hole. though when rust comes it dosent go away it just keeps coming. Thats why i wanted it fixed asap. So as of next week the car is getting driven to Mars smash repairs for some body work. I can't wait the car is going to look like new.:P What interior mods have people done to the smick 70's apart from the obivious, ie Ae71 tacho dash and fuel and boot release. Also fella's I'm upgrading my front seats which brands do you prefer and why, must be ADR approved. (I am not interested in bride, recaro, sparco seats as the are way to much for a ke70) Any advice would be much appreciated. :y:

Well you should be able to get them your local exhaust shop, supplier and they should stock them if he dosent and can do it for you do a tuned length custom extractor. Bascally each length is the same promoting the same power this is the best route for making power, but like all things it comes with a price. :P
-
No a webber 32-36 will not bolt onto a stock manifold you will need a adapter plate, redline make these to bolt on to your stock manifold. Genie, Pacemakers are brandnames. These are the best extractors for corolla engines.
-
From what i have heard, that if you buy secondhand extractors you run the risk of losing youre money quickly and easily, to buy a good set anyway you normally have to spend in upwards of $150 unless you get a steal. There are only 2 types of extractors that i would recommend and I'm sure other rollaclub members would agree, genie or pacemakers. now I'm not sure if you can get them but if you can snap them up. In answering your question about twin asians two my knowledge they were only on kb10 i think and that was earily 70's i think if you wont to make power than i would not go down this route from what iv have been told. There are only really 3 options for carbies unless you really like modding manifolds etc: Somesort of webber downdraught. ie 32-36 webber. Twin SU's like on kangaroosa's car, or Twin side draughts. ie Webber 40mm DOCE.

Nick thanks i read in the link you gave me that the 4ke are good for about 90hp which i don't think is verygood for a 5ke. Now my next question is putting a 7ke efi system on a 5k jugding from those pictures, this would need modding to fit nothing a pro can't do. It looks like a better design and can handle more HP.:harhar: The search begins.
