Diff time, Rear Brakes/Diff upgrade Shortened Nissan Skyline R31 diff 28 spline 4 pinion centre with a Mini Spool and 4.11 gears Billet axles for both sides Holden Commodore Vs rear calipers and Handbrake setup (by doing this i will have a better Handbrake) Holden Commodore Vs rear Rotors slotted and dimpled with Custom spacer for the Disc rotor to allow me to bolt the Commodore System to the Skyline diff. Comparison below bit of an upgrade Mounted in the car test fit wheel for brake clearance Done finished I'm not happy with my rear calipers so will be rebuilding these shortly but its getting close for engineering.

Being just before Christmas work was slowing down so Foreign order day it was. Today i Sand Blasted my calipers, rebuilt them with new pistons and seal kit. Then i machined my new discs which i have had for years but they had surface rust on them so why not. I still had time up my sleeve so i painted my struts in gloss black 2 pac for shits and giggles. Then i had spell and re assembled everything, really happy with the New KYB AE86 inserts and the Kmac Hats, So now i just got to get a day pass from the wife and throw them in the car. The finished results.

These photos show exactly what you have to do to xt130 struts fit a corolla This picture is a standard Ke55/30 strut, i was happy with my existing ride height so i used this to measure for my new strut. I then made a jig and cut it the spring perch of once i hade all my measurements in place Then i swapped to the xt130 strut as shown and cut the old perch of and re welded the corolla perch on.

5k out and sold, 3tgte in with w58, note the fire wall clearance and still a heap of room up the front, for my custom alloy rad and inter-cooler.

So you guessed it i got bored with a 5k and twin carbies, so time for a 3tgte, with a W58

well a lot of time has past since my last proper update got bored with one carb so i put twin dellortos on and had tuned them, these carbs ran really well but I'm a sucker and got bored with them so i change to a kick arse solex set up more photos to come

I had a 3k with that head casting, i found a thread somewhere indicating that it was from a 3kh which means high compression, but it think this only apply's to the block. I hope this helps. Also does it have a Welch plug at the back it could be an early Big port. I hope this helps

Hi guys Looking into doing a brake Upgrade on my Ke55, found heaps of information. The problem is i have my ride height right and want to maintain the factory Strut. Is there a bolt on option, or little modification to basically unbolt the old brakes on my car throw them over my shoulder and Bolt bigger Brakes on. I don't want to use Hopper Stoppers etc: Also I'm running 15x7 rims. So have plenty of space. I like the Idea of the Pug setup but don't want to mix and match struts. any ideas or can some one point me in the right direction to a step by step guide. Many thanks Nick
