OK there seems to be some confusion as to what the off topic area is and is not about. This is what I see off topic as being. I'm prepared to add to the list if you see it as something else Off topic IS: A place for topics that don't fit elsewhere A place for topics that are not related to cars A place for fun threads A side act to the main show (the rest of the forums) Off topic IS NOT The main focus of the forums A place where you can take a thread 4 billion miles off thread, just because you feel you can A place where you can ignore the rules and abuse other members, etc A place where can just chat to your mates in a thread with another purpose (I could be persueded to have a chat thread with some conditions if things improve) A place that should take up 80% of moderators time and attention A place that ends up with me having to warn/suspend/ban members A place that has feuds spill over into our out of I think off topic has a lot of potential to be a great fun place for all. Unfortunatly at the moment it seems to be doing nothing but causing a huge amount of grief for myself and others. Please, pick up your act or you may lose off topic...

The odometer likes to break after 300,000+km too so you're more than likely going to find a replacement cluster in those that are getting up in KMs. Our 93 VR had done about 360,000 when the odometer broke and we traded it in at about 450,000km. We had that car from about 50,000km I really can't say a bad thing about them. Engine and tranny were still untouched in any major way. Heads hadn't been off ever and the transmission hadn't been separated from the motor. Did a few harmonic balancers and the tranny was starting to slip a little but the motor wasn't burning much/any oil and still pulled well.

Thats because no one at Nissan has any real say over the styling anymore. Renault looks at their beautiful sketches and goes "hrm, yea I think we can make something butt ugly out of this". Have a look at the original R35 sketches and compare to the real thing.

You're going to need to machine both the hub and the rotor in order to make it fit. Even then the backspacing will probably be miles off even for a custom adapter. You can have a go but when I sized it up it looked so difficult it wasn't worth the effort compared with the other options available.

You read my mind! And then typed it out because I couldn't be bothered! You can use the racing excuse all you like but no way in hell a serious racer would be caught with a rim that wide on a car as small as a corolla. And for the record I think cherry blossoms are amongst the most ugly rims I've ever seen.

And just to backup what everyone else has said, For Sale - Cars is far and away the most popular section of this site. Perhaps you should think about what you're doing wrong (I'd suggest maybe its the price, especially in the current economic climate).

I don't think you will have fun with a poorly handling car. I know I don't. I would far prefer to take 100hp less to the track than drive a car that's pig headed and wont do what its asked. Its stressful, frustrating and definitely not fun. I know I did :D

Well... ordered by topic views for the past month (a pretty good indicator of current activity) the order is.... SA / Adelaide QLD / Brisbane WA / Perth Tasmania / Hobart NSW / Sydney VIC / Melbourne ACT / Canberra NT / Darwin TAS/NSW are fairly similar so you could consider them tied for 4th. NT barely rates for 1 month stats :bash:.

If you'd like a private forum to keep the riff raff out I'm happy to oblige if the demands there. Someone responsible is going to need to lead/moderate it though. Just a thought.
