  1. I agree with philbey. The only real weak part of the K50 is 5th. I've chewed out one already and I'm on my way through my second. The gearbox isn't really designed properly for constant 100km/h cruising.
  2. FAQ is your friend: http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...3K_powered_KE20
  3. Sometimes definitive answers aren't out there and its up to you to find them out for yourself. If you do, let us know. Thats how this thing works.
  4. Unless you've ported manifold and head to perfection, you're wasting your time. Bum dyno might tell you otherwise but its purely placebo.
  5. Don't upgrade to vista. You might as well unscrew the case and put a fragmentation grenade inside. 7shades: Windows 7 is coming soon. I think you'll like it. Its like windows vista...but it like....works! :) Strange that microsoft gets rid of Bill and suddenly theyre capable to churning out quality software...
  6. arse dyno ftw
  7. ANYTHING can be put into ANY car with enough custom fabrication. There isn't much of a KE55 underneath there anymore. Cool none the less.
  8. You cannot appreciate this car until you see it in action. This is WITHOUT the ATTESA (4wd) working. I have no doubts that this car will lap as fast as a V8 supercar.... on semi slicks.
  9. They can set the cameras to whatever the officer in the vehicle at the time decides. If hes decided to be an ass s/he can set it below the speed limit. That doesn't mean you'll get booked though.
  10. Yes cushion buttons too. The difference is the cushioned button will actually slip to a small degree... then promptly chatter like mad. I run an exedy cushioned ceramic button in the silvia.
  11. Ceramic buttons are NOT fun to drive on the street. If you intend to drive the car as a daily I would advise you look for another option. If its just going to be a weekend warrior just beware that they can be temperamental. The clutch chatter is very capable of destroying gearboxes if you don't know how to manage it.
  12. Not a whole lot, the SR20 is not a big motor. About the only place you're going to have to compromise is with the transmission tunnel. The gearbox is sizey and you may have to position the motor further forward than you'd like to allow enough clearance without massaging the tunnel.
  13. If Top Gear's cool wall has taught us anything, its that a car doesn't have to be practical or useful to be cool.
  14. I wouldn't think so. You'll definitely need custom engine mounts though.
  15. Quite the contrary. Iridium plugs are fantastic for turbos but they're perhaps not suited to your engines particular ignition system. Some engines run great on coppers, some run great on iridium, just need to find what works on your engine.
  16. Dude, please, do me a favor and take at least a few seconds to check your spelling before posting.
  17. Congrats sammo!
  18. Feels like every second kit car made is another bloody cobra...
  19. I'd be gapping them properly, at a guess probably to something like 0.040. Also whats the heat range of the plugs? Its possible they're too cold. Just to give you an idea how much voltage turbo motors have for spark, the SR20DET coilpacks produce about 40,000 volts.
  20. Whats your spark plug gap?
  21. Very nice!
  22. Hey I loved the BTCC 850 wagons :y: My contribution, don't forget Le Mans is on this weekend :hmm: Porsche 911 GT1 '98
  23. If you do it right the first time you'll probably end up saving money instead of dicking around with other setups and eventually ending at the same conclusion.
