  1. I say we pool our money and buy JiP a digital SLR so we can get some uber high resolution pics for once. Camera phone just isn't cutting it anymore :bash:
  2. 14.4L/100km. Sounds a bit more reasonable and only out by 4L/100km....still a LOT.
  3. http://rallyaustralia.com/ Neil Bates will be running an S2000 Corolla. WRC debut for an S2k Corolla.
  4. Wow.... I mean traumatics are bad but thats just....wow! So that works out to something like 17L/100km. I'm stunned its even possible for a corolla to get that much fuel through the motor. Just as a comparison my worst fuel consumption ever is in the silvia on the track at 23L/100km and thats flat out all the time. I'd be looking for outright fuel leaks if your spark plugs aren't fouled much.
  5. How many litres is a "full tank"? Last time I checked a "full tank" was not a standard of measurement. Remembering your fuel gauge is possibly out by a good whack the only way we're going to know how good/bad your fuel economy is, is if you can provide us with an accurate volume of fuel used.
  6. I would have said No was the short answer...
  7. Got an angle grinder?
  8. Try 3-4L/100km. A good small capacity modern petrol will manage 5-6. In my family we have two late model hondas doing 6-6.8 for a 1.5 and 5.1-5.9 for a 1.3 in city cycles. For the car in question the figures sound very reasonable. My ke70 was drinking 9.8 with an auto and now 7.3-7.8 with a 5spd and dirty air filter.
  9. Realistically I think you could get a tired long motor (bare) for $1200 and a fresher one for $2000. Then add $500 or so for a gearbox, another $500 for a turbo that doesn't suck and then another $500 for loom, ecu, coilpacks, manifolds etc. The cost very quickly reaches up into front/half cut range.
  10. Holyshit I'll take three!

  12. Throw out bearing usually makes noise when the clutch is depressed, not out. My guess would be lay shaft bearings in the gearbox. Is it quiet in 4th gear?
  13. The best experiences I've had have been with Fastway, mainly because the guy does the delivery round in our area before I leave for work. You can't go past Australia Post/Startrack Express/Australian Air Express either, all do fantastic work (any coincidence they're all owned in part by AusPost?). By FAR the WORST courier company I've ever dealt with have been couriers please. Utterly hopeless. They've lost my packages on more than a few occasions and when it comes to looking for them lets just say well....to be honest they couldn't give a f@$k.
  14. Whats a GT4 Celica rear subframe look like?
  15. Its plastic and made by PPQ, so yes 100% legal.
  16. The difference is you can't put cut springs on your insurance.
  17. I've bought you a present!!! :)
  18. Erm, what about the ceramic coating? If you fly cut through that you're going to create nice little hot spots. Even if you recoat them the thickness' will vary and you'll still have temperature differentials. IMO don't use GZE pistons, splash out and do it properly the first time.
  19. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I find it pretty vile. Chincy tacky kack.
  20. Considering this is ROLLAclub and not DOCTORclub maybe you should go and see the latter.
  21. I think we can rule out California then but judging by his name I'm guessing New York State/New Jersey/Connecticut/etc
  22. Qantas have decided to be bastards and not show it. http://www.smh.com.au/technology/biz-tech/...90714-djgo.html
  23. Love your IP address too you l33t h4x0r.
