lol so its been dubbed :hmm: "touches wood in preparation" i havent had a prob since the workshop did everything properly the second time round haha "stops touching wood" Spotted a red AE82 today in Stirling had nice 17" rims actually looked like a nice clean car. oh and a yellow KE55 on sat looked worse for wear was on a car trailer :D Karl.

i think he might be having a stab at the fact my car breaks down lol or there actually was an RAA van in front of it lol can't remember seeing it tho :hmm:
  7. Theres lots of small differences, I only gave the quick outline, i agree with you that the blacktop flows more and makes more power, I guess I'm used to a crap load of torque so hence why I'm slightly more tentative to the silvertop. But please if you do one thing replace the rods with forged items as the stock ones are weak and don't like revs lol, hence why toyota rev limited it to just past 6 haha Karl.
  8. yeah I'm in the same boat for the steering bushes i found out yesterday ;)
  9. Exactly! I only mentioned it because of the fact that if your modifying on a budget a silvertop is cheaper. the silver top has a better combustion chamber and the blacktop has a slightly higher compression ratio. So they near enough cancell each other out, if you can afford it stick with the blacktop like 200Boy said but silvertop wont be that much worse. If your thinking about charging (as per my situ) silvertop wins! Karl.
  10. hehe may be inside updates :jamie:
  11. HA! um yeah that works :D actually its my turbo timer. Am going to get my CAI made up properly within the next week or 2 i think, just so it dosent look so dodgy lol. how was the rest of the cruise, saw some awesome pics that August took :jamie: Karl
  12. Hey, Great colour! Good to see a couple more AE112 rolla heads popping up :jamie: I belive the 7age engine is an awesome idea, just make sure you do everything right the first time and if i were in your shoes (which I'm not too far off :D) id go ahead with a silver top 20 Valve head as opposed to the 16valver, just my 2 cents. Karl.
  13. by this stage ^^ we have no gears left to grind , there is no such thing as a gearbox lol Karl.

  16. Good cruise, nice turn out and was a good memorial. I enjoyed it :) Karl.
  17. OI! OI! OI! crap its been done already :D Ive been overseas a couple times and when you get back well for me at least it was a mid 20's day in Adelaide and you walked out onto the tarmac and went into the terminal. Was because of the fact that once we got off the plane in manilla, it was like trying to breath under water, then compared to AUS, when we got back its bliss! Karl.
  18. "i saw this car changing a tyre must have been doing burnouts to cause a blow out!" seriously people need to differentiate between hoons and enthusiasts. Karl.
  19. Having bought TERMINALS car that hasnt had the dizzy issue "touchwood" it is always at the back of my mind that i might need to replace it The ecu is still quite alright since it has been replaced previous owner had a second hand warranty and had the entire ECU replaced at EXTREME cost and time inclusive (approx 5 months) and first quoted $15,000 in the end was considerably less but still expensive. Look into those 2 major things first as it is only doing it on hotter days try the dizzy first because of the fact that if the ecu was faulty that it would be doing it much more frequently and in different climates. as well as it is chump change compared to an ECU. Hope the info helps Karl.
  20. Haha my mum is a bit like that, always has a go wheneva i accelerate hard lol, boost doesn't exactly help either :D
  21. id would fit in my boot too lol mmmmm bar fridge in the room :D

WGMG: Leaving cold cans of drink in the fridge at work (on a hot day) i then go on lunch and come back to find an empty box where they all were! To add to it i left 5 in there! theres 4 people in the workshop! I asked round and no one would own up. :end rant: Karl.
