  1. Yeah keen on the IS200 to replace the rattly Blueballs lol. Good to see Vixie back on the road the other day have missed driving with her :hmm: Karl.
  2. +1 Looking the goods, can't wait to see it for real! Karl.
  3. Awesome car, i can see this going far. Good work once again on the Top Classic. I see some of my photos served u well :P Karl.
  4. All good clint was trying to find an easy way to post them anyway :P
  5. Yeah I'm keen on that, i was speaking to Lesley and we think if we could start with russeling up some of those guys with the KE1X's then that could have helped out rollaclub and the show itself. Karl.
  6. I can see both sides of this story. When i read lukes post i decided not to reply because of what i would have said so i did keep it to myself, not that everyone should just the personal decision i made at that time. We all did put in a lot of effort and as i saw we were all a bit down about this years Toyoshow as i myself know of cars that really deserved to be there this year. Those of us who have reacted like this, is probably the straw that broke the camels back as i think we at Rollaclub on the day i felt we were holding it together for others sake. Going on previous years turnouts this year was pretty dismal il admit yet it still dosent mean that we enjoy being put down, or "judged with the rest of them" as our cars are unique and not just another car on the road or someones driveway or carpark. Valandor made a good first point and for someone to go and chuck it in his face with the comment "you need to take a chill pill" it almost seems like, luke can say anything and expect to get away with it but as soon as someone else comes along with an opinionated comment there shot down immediately. Just my opinions and i can see people taking it harshly or agree either way its up to you and I'm expressing myself not stabbing anyone in the back or heart for that matter :) Karl.
  7. Lol Bianca i did the same thing bought a nuts turb 13 and 2 weeks latr it was gone...... Back to Toyota for me :)
  8. Despite the interestingly low numbers it still was a good weekend, lots left to be planned on the cars but thats the nature of it i spose ;) Congrats on the Top Classic Clint very well deserved  Abd San for best no plate crap i mean number plate :) That MC struggled, he came and talked to me and said "tell me about your car karl" Me, "well its a Sportivo Turbo Corolla, has a new turbo and manifold, exhaust, rims......" MC " So what kinda mods have you done?" Me "*In head *FACEPALM** well basically what i said b4 turbo, manifold, rims, little bit of stereo" LOL I gotta give him that tho hes gone to an event where he knows nothing about and goes up to randoms and talks crap, for that i have to give him some credit. ah lesley its FXGT. jus so you know :) But Thanks ;)
  10. Neither of those cars i owned, first car i got put RE001 Adrenalins, now on the rolla i have yokies :hmm: Karl.
  11. had another thought, me and clint were talking and we think going there half hour early to help setup all the actual Toyoshow marquees and stuff would be a good idea, so say meet at 8? go there for 8:30 when they get there to set themselves up. Karl.
  12. I feel exacty the same Danny, for everything i had done my total is somewhere in the very high $3000's not near $5000. Id be inclined to ask why so much and get exact details or shop around having said that, vixie is already there so it would be a little bit hard to take somewhere else. Lesley, is the dump pipe a whole new front pipe aswell as in cat forwards? or just the dump going back into the small puiny section that we have? Karl.
  13. So moro mng what time is set for meet up? The gates don't open till 9 so there isnt much poing at meeting near 7:30? I'm going to suggest 8:15 meet then 8:45 departure then go from there set up and do everything at wigley reserve. Karl.
  14. Were not the only ones who are devo Lesley, i was talking with i think Brians mother on the cruise, she was dissapointed that neither of you could be there. She is in the same boat unfortunately with the Group A Supra. I'm happy to take the chairs but i don't know if il fit the table, have u done it b4? Karl Oh il grab the sign may as well, will prob see you later in the day after my dyno runs.
  15. numero uno!
  16. basically yeah, although you get to do it in your own car supposed to get you used to it :)
  17. oh and those driver training days are good but they teach you following gaps and thats about it. i did one to get cheaper insurance :)
  18. Got a couple of the top of my head. A friend of mine just bought his first car was some old mitsi tray ute, he said hed show me the car and took me round the block. Pretty much every corner hes getting more and more eager to slide it clutching earlier and earlier, he has some speed to this last one and turns in violently and clutches at the same time round we go once then half up a kerb, spins the other way and i was a passenger of course and my side was going for the right side of the road and aiming smack dab for a tree! if there wasn't one of those harsh 90degree kerbs my face would have been morphed with a tree :) Another story, a friend of mine was trying to sell his car and needed to sell it somewhere down south and we were in the hills, i ask to borrow my sisters car to follow down and drive him back when he sold it, all good me being on my p plates for less than a month. I drop my sister off at work and drive back home as we are going down the freeway in the morning it was already pissing down with rain for the first time in something like 10 months so slippery as all hell. I drove back home and entered an intersection tried to turn like it was dry and understeered near into stopped traffic on the other side of the road. I had experience with FWD so i luckily regained control. Scary moment number 1. Then between Aldgate and Bridgewater (if anyone knows) i look off the road to find my drink and look back to the road ahead, noticed I'm basically aiming for the wrong side, pull back didn't understeer this time instead oversteered lost the rear end full locked it and planted the foot as i thought if i grab the brakes I'm going into head on traffic, which i didn't want to do. The car pulls back violently and i manage to fit a car going 60kmh into a gap about 5-6metes wide missing a stoby pole and a fence into a storm water culvert :y:. I have pics of the once reliable lil Toyota Echo :fuzz: Even if u are being sensible something can still go wrong so its not all hoon bad behaviour or trying to show off. Karl.
  19. pfft your car still one COTY don't think we will care lol Karl.

  21. Awesome car! I remember seeing this at SCS a while back and seing a total black engine bay thinking to myself wtf is in that, then i noticed the rotor :) Told my mate and he said bull shit *walks over has a look* no shit huh lol Are u entering Toyoshow at all? Karl.
  22. haha yeah i know was thinking wrong thread to be talking about reliability :bash: Personally the RX-8 wins over the IS200, yet you all know what i think wins over both :bash:
