  5. No i havent done a FWD clutch before, o have a service manual and people who have done them before around me so thatl help :lolcry: But you don't need to worry about that now do you lesley :)
  6. How did you go about your CAI as i have had to worry about my clutch i haven't been able to fix mine properly am curious as to how you have set it up :)
  7. Yeah il go ahead with it myself just need shed, and I'm going to go with the Xtreem HD Clutch. Should be done by nxt week, with any luck so my baby will be one step better :) Karl.
  8. Exactly what i was after :) thanks, just as a friend suggested to take it out all together and seemed a little over the top. Karl.
  9. Hey all, ive done some research here and on other forums but havent come up with many "personal" experiences. I would like to know which is easier/less time consuming to replace my clutch, 1: Drop just the g'box and replace clutch that way or 2:Take entire engine and G'Box out and replace clutch? I'm not too sure which will be easier, I'm kinda leading towards just dropping the 'box itself. Cheers Karl. EDIT: or just opinions :)
  10. I'm in the same boat seeing as this in roughly a weeks time, my cars out of action again
  11. Haha look at the kid in the middle bottom of that pic, completely oblivious!
  12. Duly noted
  13. I wouldnt say soft on the pedal as such but a moderate rate of "Grab" is a good way to put it, far from on/off style.
  14. Id try using 205/50 14's Not sure if u can actually get that smaller tire wall size but research around see what is available. I think 195's are too small for 8 1/2 inch rims. See what fits experiment really. Karl. EDIT: Having said that see how well 185/60 14 fit, they are cheap readily available and can get some decent brands and treads.
  15. The best way to get the CAI done is to run the "proper" intake in between the rad and the alternator there. Ah well i might need a quad plate lol, nah i want to go with a full face Heavy Duty item, so it drives well but not soft either, I know what i mean :) haha
  16. Lol no the 3 pedals is great, its just when they f*#k up it all.
  17. Well cars immobile again, new clutch is in order :) Snapped after driving without a clutch about 3 mins from home, luckily it was at a mates place. Owel the same old excuse "cause its broken guess i have to upgrade" :jamie:
  18. WGMG!!!!!!! Clutches. That is all.
  19. ^^^ yep GFB its missing the little lock off nut thingo on the vacuum piece. don't know for sure if it changes anything major? Karl.
  20. tsk DAMMIT! :no2: ive since done some research that B.O.V might be adjustable..... if so il still be interested :jamie:
  21. Haha i thought we were doing well for a week of seasonal changes, damn it :no2:
  22. ive kinda fixed it for now but i can see it breaking again. When are u free to see if it fits/works danny? Karl
  23. Nope, its a TOM'S ECU but its still Toyota as far as i know you can't tune them, then again i would be glad for someone to prove me wrong :D plus these cars don't have boost control via the ECU, its just what the actuator runs. i think my exhaust is restrictive as to why it drops off boost, as i now run a larger turbo that flows more exhaust gas and therefore it can't get rid of it as efficiently. I also believe a boost controller is in need for my car. Karl.
  24. It works really quite well i noticed gains by having it! well i did some tests the other day without MY CAI (also without driving just free revving) it still does "does" straight from the mouth of the turbo. Not that i like it just my B.O.V broke!
