  1. To you that are running dual carbs, what have you done with the manifold? Is it a custom piece built out of the stock 4K intake manifold or do you get these somewhere? Tempted to throw a set of dualies on one of my 4K. The other 4K is getting a turbo build, ask me how I feel about manifolds in a couple of months :lolcry:
  2. Mmm, the start of the real winter.. Today I drove my Rolla just like you Aussie boys do when you're going somewhere or you just want to drive. Unlike you Aussies, I can't just hop in my car and drive, not when it is like it was today, atleast. Here's what met me when I came out today: Crazy or what? A couple of hours later and my car was ready for action. Well, almost ready, atleast it was out of the giant snow bank hiding two Toyotas: The story does not end there. Although unfamiliar with the Australians, I gotta be careful in route planning.. Let's just say I need to follow some nice tracks or I'll plow your snow. Or get stuck. Probably both. Disclaimer: No Rollas were harmed during the production of these photos, or between shots. Fun were had by both car and driver, er.. on racetracks.
  3. The building makes the car look good :)
  4. Brought home some brand new roof mouldings from Toyota today, apparently they still had some in stock! :)
  5. Done work over the past few days.. Cut out rust, made new parts, dropped the subframe today and started removing the original undercoating. I've gone back and forth with myself trying to decide whether to leave it and maybe add a layer of Tectyl or similar anti-rust undercoating, but I guess I'm going all out now! :P
  6. Oh damn I didn't know that site existed. Now I can stop harassing my dealer with part nos :P
  7. I'd say AC but I could be wrong :D
  8. I bought a wife from that site, great deals :D Oh btw, why the hell didn't Norway also get plastic KE bumpers?? I mean they're probably awful but then you'd atleast have a bumper in one piece :jamie:
  9. I just gotta bump this for super dopeness. Auto, Enkeis, the right paint, clean interior, a super nice cruiser. Man I'm envious right now :D
  10. Haha, word, but at the end of the day it's just a winter beater :D Since we gotta store our nice cars, we might as well have some fun at the same time. Plus you can't blame the snow for the rust, but stupid ass governments salting the roads..
  11. Doesn't make sense as KE70s have steel bumpers too.. The Philippines are full of OEM new in the box chrome parts - but also not so great fitting fibre glass stuff..
  12. A buddy has a T25 for sale.. I know turbo 4K is highly debated and some are against it for several reasons, they prefer a 4A-GE or 2T swap (fair enough), they say at least get the 4K-E (?) with EFI from Japan, counter flow sucks for turbo building because of space issues, etc. I want to give it a shot though, and as half the fun of being boosted is running a huuuuge IC and a loud BOV, draw through is out of the question.. So, how would I seal and pressurize the 4K carb, are there any kits for this? Or could I perhaps use a carb from another car?
  13. The first snow of the winter is always cool :D
  14. I don't remember right now if it's just alu or also ss that you can't weld up with regular steel. Also, 2mm might be too thick for some places, replace the steel with the factory thickness. Think steel is good but you need more heat to weld the thicker steel, so you risk burning holes if the rest of the steel is thinner. You live in Australia? And your car is rusty? Let's see it :D
  15. I love the kangaroo bar! :D Would be great for taking out moose and deer around here.
  16. Haven't done it yet as it brings moisture into the small wounds from the chisel so I'm waiting until paint's closing in, but a heat gun and paint thinner do the tricks :| Haha yeah, they salt the roads badly there too? In Norway it's hopeless to have a clean daily driver if you use it in the winter. I do, but the white car isn't exactly clean, and that's the way it's supposed to be ;) Your car is dope :D
  17. Mine has overheated twice and always run higher than it should when cruising above 120-130 km/h. Don't think it's the head gasket as it behaves normally when not on the m-way, warms up quickly and the heater blows (really) hot air. Maybe you just, like me, need a new radiator, simple as that? :D
  18. And again.. Old Toyotas are for driving!
